Chapter 13
1
1
And it came to pass after seven days, I dreamed a dream by night:
2
2
и3 сE, t м0рz вётръ воставaше, да возмути1тъ вс‰ вHлны є3гw2. and, lo, there arose a wind from the sea, that it moved all the waves thereof.
3
3
И# ви1дэхъ, и3 сE, возмогaше т0й человёкъ съ тhсzщьми небeсными, и3 ѓможе лицE своE њбращaше, да воззри1тъ, трепетaху вс‰, ±же под8 ни1мъ ви1дzхусz, And I beheld, and, lo, this wind caused to come up from the midst of the sea as it were the likeness of a man, and I beheld, and, lo, that man flew with the clouds of heaven: and when he turned his countenance to look, all things trembled that were seen under him.
4
4
и3 ѓможе и3схождaше глaсъ t ќстъ є3гw2, возжизaхусz вси2, и5же слhшаху глaсъ є3гw2, ћкоже пок0итсz землS, є3гдA ўслhшитъ џгнь. And whensoever the voice went out of his mouth, all they burned that heard his voice, like as the wax melteth when it feeleth the fire.
5
5
And after this I beheld, and, lo, there was gathered together a multitude of men, without number, from the four winds of heaven, to make war against the man that came out of the sea.
6
6
2: And I beheld, and, lo, he graved himself a great mountain, and flew upon it.
7
7
But I sought to see the region or place whereout the mountain was graven, and I could not.
8
8
И# по сeмъ ви1дэхъ, и3 сE, вси2, и5же с0брани сyть на него2, да поб0рютъ є3го2, боsхусz ѕэлw2, nбaче дерзaху рaтовати. And after this I beheld, and, lo, all they that were gathered together to fight against him were sore afraid, and yet dared fight.
9
9
И# сE, є3гдA ўви1дэ стремлeніе мн0жества грzдyщагw, не воздви1же руки2 своеS, ни nрyжіz держaше и3 ни кот0рагw nрyдіz брaннагw, т0кмw ћкоже ви1дэхъ: And, lo, as he saw the assault of the multitude that came, he neither lifted up his hand, nor held spear, nor any instrument of war:
10
10
понeже и3спусти2 и3з8 ќстъ свои1хъ ѓки дохновeніе nгнS, и3 t ўстeнъ є3гw2 ћкw дyхъ плaмене, и3 t љзhка своегw2 и3спускaше и4скры и3 б{ри, и3 соединє1на сyть вс‰ вкyпэ сі‰, дохновeніе nгнS и3 дyхъ плaмене и3 мн0жество бyри: but only I saw how that he sent out of his mouth as it had been a flood of fire, and out of his lips a flaming breath, and out of his tongue he cast forth sparks of the storm.
11
11
и3 нападE на мн0жество во ўстремлeніи, є4же ўгот0вано бhсть њполчaтисz, и3 пожжE всёхъ (и3 и3скорени2), ћкw ѓбіе ничт0же ви1дэно бsше t безчи1сленна мн0жества, рaзвэ т0кмw прaхъ и3 дhма вонS. And these were all mingled together; the flood of fire, the flaming breath, and the great storm; and fell upon the assault of the multitude which was prepared to fight, and burned them up every one, so that upon a sudden of an innumerable multitude nothing was to be perceived, but only dust of ashes and smell of smoke: when I saw this I was amazed.
12
12
Afterward I beheld the same man come down from the mountain, and call unto him another multitude which was peaceable.
13
13
и3 приступaху къ немY ли1ца человёкwвъ мн0гихъ, нёкіихъ рaдующихсz и3 нёкіихъ скорбsщихъ, нёцыи же привsзани, нёцыи приводsще t тёхъ, и5же приношaхусz. And there came much people unto him, whereof some were glad, some were sorry, some of them were bound, and other some brought of them that were offered: then through great fear I awoke, and prayed unto the Most High, and said,
14
14
ты2 t начaла показaлъ є3си2 рабY твоемY чудесA сі‰, и3 дост0йна мS и3мёлъ є3си2, да пріи1меши моли1тву мою2: Thou hast shown thy servant these wonders from the beginning, and hast counted me worthy that thou shouldest receive my prayer:
15
15
и3 нн7э покажи2 мнЁ є3щE толковaніе снA сегw2, and now show me moreover the interpretation of this dream.
16
16
For as I conceive in mine understanding, woe unto them that shall be left in those days! and much more woe unto them that are not left!
17
17
и5же бо не сyть њстaвлени, ск0рбни бsху: for they that were not left shall be in heaviness,
18
18
разумёю нн7э, ±же сyть tложє1на на послBдніz дни6, и3 ўсрsщутъ и5хъ, но и3 тёхъ, и5же њстaвлени сyть: understanding the things that are laid up in the latter days, but not attaining unto them.
19
19
сегH бо рaди пріид0ша въ бэды6 вєли1кіz и3 въ н{жды мнHгіz, ћкоже показyютъ сHніz сі‰: But woe unto them also that are left, for this cause; for they shall see great perils and many necessities, like as these dreams declare.
20
20
nбaче легчaе є4сть бёдствующему пріити2 на сіE, нeже прейти2 ћкw w4блаку t вёка и3 нн7э ви1дэти, ±же случaтсz въ послBднzz временA. E: Yet is it better for one to be in peril and to come into these things, than to pass away as a cloud out of the world, and not to see the things that shall happen in the last days. And he answered unto me, and said,
21
21
2. The interpretation of the vision shall I tell thee, and I will also open unto thee the things whereof thou hast made mention.
22
22
Whereas thou hast spoken of them that are left behind, this is the interpretation:
23
23
He that shall endure the peril in that time shall keep them that be fallen into danger, even such as have works, and faith toward the Almighty.
24
24
Know therefore, that they that are left behind are more blessed than they that are dead.
25
25
Сі‰ толкwвaніz видёнію: ћкw ви1дэлъ є3си2 мyжа восходsща t сeрдца морскaгw, These are the interpretations of the vision: Whereas thou sawest a man coming up from the midst of the sea,
26
26
т0й є4сть, є3г0же храни1тъ вhшній мнHга временA, и4же сами1мъ соб0ю и3збaвитъ сотворeніе своE и3 т0й разсм0тритъ, и5же њстaвлени сyть. the same is he whom the Most High hath kept a great season, who by his own self shall deliver his creature: and he shall order them that are left behind.
27
27
Ґ ћкw ви1дэлъ є3си2 t ќстъ є3гw2 и3сходи1ти ѓки дyхъ и3 џгнь и3 бyрю, And whereas thou sawest, that out of his mouth there came wind, and fire, and storm;
28
28
и3 ћкw не держaше мечA и3 ни nрyдіz брaннагw, порази1 бо стремлeніе є3гw2 мн0жество, є4же пріи1де рaтовати є3го2, сіE є4сть толковaніе: and whereas he held neither spear, nor any instrument of war, but destroyed the assault of that multitude which came to fight against him; this is the interpretation:
29
29
Behold, the days come, when the Most High will begin to deliver them that are upon the earth.
30
30
2, And there shall come astonishment of mind upon them that dwell on the earth.
31
31
и3 и3нjи и3нhхъ помhслzтъ воевaти, грaдъ на грaдъ и3 мёсто на мёсто, и3 kзhкъ на kзhкъ и3 цaрство на цaрство: And one shall think to war against another, city against city, place against place, people against people, and kingdom against kingdom.
32
32
и3 бyдетъ, є3гдA бyдутъ сі‰, и3 случaтсz знaмєніz, ±же прeжде показaхъ ти2, и3 тогдA tкрhетсz сн7ъ м0й, є3г0же ви1дэлъ є3си2 ћкw мyжа восходsща: And it shall be, when these things shall come to pass, and the signs shall happen which I showed thee before, then shall my Son be revealed, whom thou sawest as a man ascending.
33
33
и3 бyдетъ, є3гдA ўслhшатъ вси2 kзhцы глaсъ є3гw2, и3 њстaвитъ є3ди1нъ кjйждо во странЁ своeй брaнь свою2, ю4же и4мутъ дрyгъ на дрyга, And it shall be, when all the nations hear his voice, every man shall leave his own land and the battle they have one against another.
34
34
2: And an innumerable multitude shall be gathered together, as thou sawest, desiring to come, and to fight against him.
35
35
But he shall stand upon the top of the mount Zion.
36
36
And Zion shall come, and shall be shown to all men, being prepared and built, like as thou sawest the mountain graven without hands.
37
37
т0й же сн7ъ м0й њбличи1тъ, ±же и3з8wбрэт0ша kзhцы, нечє1стіz и4хъ т†, ±же къ бyри прибли1жишасz рaди лукaвыхъ помышлeній и4хъ и3 мучeній, и4миже начнyтъ мyчитисz, And this my Son shall rebuke the nations which are come for their wickedness, with plagues that are like unto a tempest;
38
38
±же подHбна сyть плaмени: и3 погуби1тъ и5хъ без8 трyдности, по зак0ну, и4же nгню2 под0бенъ є4сть. and shall taunt them to their face with their evil thoughts, and the torments wherewith they shall be tormented, which are likened unto a flame: and he shall destroy them without labor by the law, which is likened unto fire.
39
39
Ґ ћкw ви1дэлъ є3си2 є3го2 собирaющаго къ себЁ и3н0е мн0жество ми1рное: And whereas thou sawest that he gathered unto him another multitude that was peaceable;
40
40
сjи сyть дeсzть колёнъ, и5же плэнeни бhша t земли2 своеS во дни6 њсjи царS, є3г0же плэни2 салманасaръ цaрь ґссmрjйскій и3 преведE и5хъ за рэкY, и3 преведeни сyть въ зeмлю и3нyю, these are the ten tribes, which were led away out of their own land in the time of Hoshea the king, whom Shalmaneser the king of the Assyrians led away captive, and he carried them beyond the River, and they were carried into another land.
41
41
тjи же себЁ дaша совётъ т0й, да њстaвzтъ мн0жество kзhкwвъ, и3 дабы2 прошли2 въ дaльную странY, и3дёже никогдA њбитaше р0дъ человёческій, But they took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42
42
и3ли2 тaмw храни1ти закHннаz сво‰, и4хже не хранsху во странЁ своeй: that they might there keep their statutes, which they had not kept in their own land.
43
43
And they entered by the narrow passages of the river Euphrates.
44
44
For the Most High then wrought signs for them, and stayed the springs of the River, till they were passed over.
45
45
For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arzareth.
46
46
тогдA њбитaша тaмw дaже до послёднzгw врeмене: и3 нн7э пaки є3гдA начнyтъ приходи1ти, Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they begin to come again,
47
47
пaки вhшній ўстaвитъ жи6лы рэчны6z, да возм0гутъ пройти2: си1хъ рaди ви1дэлъ є3си2 мн0жество съ ми1ромъ: the Most High stayeth the springs of the River again, that they may go through: therefore sawest thou the multitude gathered together with peace.
48
48
But those that are left behind of thy people are they that are found within my holy border.
49
49
It shall be therefore when he shall destroy the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, he shall defend the people that remain.
50
50
And then shall he show them very many wonders.
51
51
Then said I, O Lord that bearest rule, show me this: wherefore I have seen the man coming up from the midst of the sea.
52
52
E. And he said unto me, like as one can neither seek out nor know what is in the deep of the sea, even so can no man upon earth see my Son, or those that are with him, but in the time of his day.
53
53
This is the interpretation of the dream which thou sawest, and for this thou only art enlightened herein.
54
54
2: For thou hast forsaken thine own ways, and applied thy diligence unto mine, and hast sought out my law.
55
55
Thy life hast thou ordered in wisdom, and hast called understanding thy mother.
56
56
And therefore have I shown thee this; for there is a reward laid up with the Most High: and it shall be, after other three days I will speak other things unto thee, and declare unto thee mighty and wondrous things.
57
57
И# и3д0хъ и3 пріид0хъ на п0ле, мн0гw слaвz и3 хвалS вhшнzго њ ди1вныхъ, ±же по врeмени творsше, Then went I forth and passed into the field, giving praise and thanks greatly unto the Most High because of his wonders, which he did from time to time;
58
58
6. and because he governeth the time, and such things as fall in their seasons. And there I sat three days.
