1
| И# речE ко мнЁ: t начaла крyга земнaгw и3 прeжде њсновaніz и3сх0дwвъ вёка, и3 прeжде нeже бhша дhшуще собр†ніz вётрwвъ | And he said unto me, In the beginning, when the earth was made, before the outgoings of the world were fixed, or ever the gatherings of the winds blew, |
2
2
| и3 прeжде нeже возшумёша глaси гр0мніи, и3 прeжде нeже возсіsша свётлwсти блистaній и3 прeжде нeже ўтверди1шасz њснов†ніz р†йскаz, | before the voices of the thunder sounded and before the flashes of the lightning shone, or ever the foundations of paradise were laid, |
3
3
| и3 прeжде нeже ви1дэни бhша крaсніи цвёти и3 прeжде нeже ўкрэпи1шасz си6лы подви1жєныz, и3 прeжде нeже собрaшасz безчи1слєннаz вHинства ѓгGлскаz | before the fair flowers were seen, or ever the powers of the earthquake were established, before the innumerable hosts of angels were gathered together, |
4
4
| и3 прeжде нeже вознес0шасz высwты2 возд{шныz, и3 прeжде нeжели наименовaхусz мBры твeрдей и3 прeжде нeжели возгорёшасz пє1щи въ сіHнэ, | or ever the heights of the air were lifted up, before the measures of the firmament were named, or ever the footstool of Zion was established, |
5
5
| и3 прeжде нeже и3зслBдована бhша насто‰щаz лBта и3 прeжде нeже tчужди1шасz си1хъ, и5же нн7э согрэшaютъ, начин†ніz, и3 прeжде нeже назнaменани бhша тjи, и5же вёру сокр0виществоваша: | and ere the present years were sought out, and or ever the imaginations of them that now sin were estranged, before they were sealed that have gathered faith for a treasure: |
6
6
| then did I consider these things, and they all were made through me alone, and through none other: as by me also they shall be ended, and by none other. |
7
7
| И# tвэщaхъ и3 рек0хъ: к0е бyдетъ раздэлeніе времeнъ; и3ли2 когдA пeрвому конeцъ, ґ друг0му начaло; | Then answered I and said, what shall be the parting asunder of the times? or when shall be the end of the first, and the beginning of it that followeth? |
8
8
| И# речE ко мнЁ: t ґвраaма дaже до їсаaка, є3гдA рождeни сyть t негw2 їaкwвъ и3 и3сavъ, рукA їaкwвлz держaше t начaла пsту и3сavову: | And he said unto me, From Abraham unto Abraham, inasmuch as Jacob and Esau were born of him, for Jacob’s hand held the heel of Esau from the beginning. |
9
9
| конeцъ бо вёка сегw2 и3сavъ, ґ другaгw начaло їaкwвъ: | For Esau is the end of this world, and Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth. |
10
10
| The beginning of a man is his hand, and the end of a man is his heel; between the heel and the hand seek thou nought else, Ezra. |
11
11
| И# tвэщaхъ и3 рек0хъ: q, вLко гDи, ѓще њбрэт0хъ благодaть пред8 nчи1ма твои1ма, | I answered then and said, O Lord that bearest rule, If I have found favor in thy sight, |
12
12
| молю1 тz, да покaжеши рабY твоемY конeцъ знaменій твои1хъ, и4хже чaсть показaлъ є3си2 мнЁ н0щи прешeдшіz. | I beseech thee, show thy servant the end of thy tokens, whereof thou showedst me part the last night. |
13
13
| И# tвэщA и3 речe ми: востaни на н0ги тво‰ и3 ўслhши глaсъ и3сп0лненъ шyма: | So he answered and said unto me, Stand up upon thy feet, and thou shalt hear a mighty sounding voice; |
14
14
| и3 бyдетъ ѓки колебaніе, ґ не поколeблетсz мёсто, на нeмже стои1ши: | and if the place whereon thou standest be greatly moved, |
15
15
| сегw2 рaди, є3гдA гlетъ, ты2 не ўжасaйсz, и4бо њ концы2 сл0во и3 њсновaніе земли2 разумёетсz: | when it speaketh be thou not afraid: for the word is of the end, and the foundations of the earth shall understand, |
16
16
| that the speech is of them: they shall tremble and be moved: for they know that their end must be changed. |
17
17
| И# бhсть є3гдA слhшахъ, востaхъ на н0зэ мои2 и3 слhшахъ: и3 сE, глaсъ глаг0лющь, и3 шyмъ є3гw2 ћкw шyмъ в0дъ мн0гихъ. | And it happened, that when I had heard it I stood up upon my feet, and hearkened, and, behold, there was a voice that spake, and the sound of it was like the sound of many waters. |
18
18
| И# речE: сE, днjе грzдyтъ, и3 бyдетъ, внегдA приближaтисz начнY, да посэщY њбитaющихъ на земли2, | And it said, Behold, the days come, and it shall be that when I draw nigh to visit them that dwell upon the earth, |
19
19
| и3 є3гдA и3скaти начнY t си1хъ, и5же непрaведнw повреди1ша непрaвдою своeю, и3 є3гдA и3сп0лнитсz смирeніе сіHне, | and when I shall make inquisition of them that have done hurt unjustly with their unrighteousness, and when the affliction of Zion shall be fulfilled, |
20
20
| и3 є3гдA назнaменаетсz вёкъ, и4же начинaетъ преходи1ти, сі‰ знaмєніz сотворю2: кни6ги разгнyтсz пред8 лицeмъ твeрди, и3 вси2 ќзрzтъ вкyпэ, | and when the seal shall be set upon the world that is to pass away, then will I show these tokens: the books shall be opened before the firmament, and all shall see together: |
21
21
| и3 є3динолётніи младeнцы возглаг0лютъ гл†сы свои1ми, и3 чрев†тыz недозрёлыхъ родsтъ младeнцевъ, тріeхъ и3 четhрехъ мцcей, и3 поживyтъ и3 воздви1жутсz: | and the children of a year old shall speak with their voices, the women with child shall bring forth untimely children at three or four months, and they shall live, and dance. |
22
22
| и3 ѓбіе kвsтсz мэстA насBzннаz ненасBzна, и3 пHлнаz храни6лища внезaпу њбрsщутсz пр†здна: | And suddenly shall the sown places appear unsown, the full storehouses shall suddenly be found empty: |
23
23
| и3 трубA вострyбитъ съ шyмомъ, ю4же є3гдA вси2 ўслhшатъ, ѓбіе ўжaснутсz: | and the trumpet shall give a sound, which when every man heareth, they shall be suddenly afraid. |
24
24
| и3 бyдетъ въ то2 врe м, воwружaтсz пріsтелє на пріsтелей ѓки врази2, и3 ўжaснетсz землS съ ни1ми, и3 жи6лы и3ст0чникwвъ стaнутъ и3 не стекyтъ въ часёхъ тріeхъ: | At that time shall friends make war one against another like enemies, and the earth shall stand in fear with those that dwell therein, the springs of the fountains shall stand still, so that for three hours they shall not run. |
25
25
| и3 бyдетъ, всsкъ, и4же њстaвленъ бyдетъ t всёхъ си1хъ, и4миже предрек0хъ тебЁ, т0й спасeтсz и3 ќзритъ спcніе моE и3 конeцъ вёка вaшегw: | And it shall be that whosoever remaineth after all these things that I have told thee of, he shall be saved, and shall see my salvation, and the end of my world. |
26
26
| и3 ќзрzтъ, и5же пріsти сyть лю1діе, и5же смeрти не вкуси1ша t рождeніz своегw2, и3 премэни1тсz сeрдце њбитaющихъ и3 њбрати1тсz въ чyвство и3н0е: | And they shall see the men that have been taken up, who have not tasted death from their birth: and the heart of the inhabitants shall be changed, and turned into another meaning. |
27
27
| заглaдитбосz лукaвое, и3 погаси1тсz лeсть, | For evil shall be blotted out, and deceit shall be quenched; |
28
28
| and faith shall flourish, and corruption shall be overcome, and the truth, which hath been so long without fruit, shall be declared. |
29
29
| И# бhсть, є3гдA ми2 гlа, и3 сE, ти1хw смотрёхъ нaнь, пред8 ни1мже стоsхъ, | And when he talked with me, behold, by little and little the place whereon I stood rocked to and fro. |
30
30
| и3 речE ко мнЁ сі‰: пріид0хъ къ тебЁ показaти врeмz бyдущіz н0щи: | And he said unto me, These things came I to show thee this night. |
31
31
| ѓще ќбw пaки пом0лишисz и3 пaки попости1шисz сeдмь днjй, пaки тебЁ возвэщY t си1хъ б0лшыz вeщы, въ дeнь въ џньже слhшахъ: | If therefore thou wilt pray yet again, and fast seven days more, I shall yet tell thee greater things than these. |
32
32
2, | For thy voice hath surely been heard before the Most High: for the Mighty hath seen thy righteous dealing, he hath seen aforetime also thy chastity, which thou hast had ever since thy youth. |
33
33
| и3 сегw2 рaди послa мz показaти тебЁ вс‰ вeщы сі‰ и3 рещи2 тебЁ: дерзaй и3 не б0йсz, | And therefore hath he sent me to show thee all these things, and to say unto thee, Be of good comfort, and fear not. |
34
34
| And be not hasty in regard of the former times, to think vain things, that thou mayest not hasten in the latter times. |
35
35
| И# бhсть по си1хъ, и3 плaкахсz пaки и3 тaкожде постsхсz сeдмь днjй, да и3сп0лню три2 седми6цы, ±же речє1ны сyть мнЁ. | And it came to pass after this, that I wept again, and fasted seven days in like manner, that I might fulfill the three weeks which he told me. |
36
36
| И# бhсть во nсмyю н0щь, и3 сeрдце моE смущaшесz пaки во мнЁ, и3 начaхъ глаг0лати пред8 вhшнимъ: | And in the eighth night was my heart vexed within me again, and I began to speak before the Most High. |
37
37
| распалaшесz бо дyхъ м0й ѕэлw2, и3 душA моS ўнывaше. | For my spirit was greatly set on fire, and my soul was in distress. |
38
38
| И# рек0хъ: q, гDи! гlz гlалъ є3си2 t начaла сотворeніz въ пeрвый дeнь (гlющь): да бyдетъ нeбо и3 землS, и3 твоE сл0во дёло совершeнно: | And I said, O Lord, of a truth thou spakest at the beginning of the creation, upon the first day, and saidst thus: Let heaven and earth be made; and thy word perfected the work. |
39
39
| и3 бhсть тогдA д¦ъ, и3 тмA w4крестъ ношaшесz и3 молчaніе: шyмъ глaса человёча є3щE не бЁ (сотворeнъ) t тебє2: | And then was the spirit hovering, and darkness and silence were on every side; the sound of man’s voice was not yet. |
40
40
E. | Then commandedst thou a ray of light to be brought forth of thy treasures, that then thy works might appear. |
41
41
| И# въ дeнь вторhй создaлъ є3си2 дyхъ твeрди и3 повелёлъ є3си2 є4й, да раздэли1тъ и3 раздэлeніе сотвори1тъ междY водaми, да чaсть нёкаz вhше ўстyпитъ и3 чaсть вторaz ни1зу пребывaетъ. | Upon the second day again thou madest the spirit of the firmament and commandedst it to part asunder, and to make a division between the waters, that the one part might go up, and the other remain beneath. |
42
42
| И# въ трeтій дeнь повелёлъ є3си2 водaмъ собрaтисz въ седмyю чaсть земли2, шeсть же частeй њсуши1лъ и3 сохрани1лъ є3си2, є4же бы пред8 тоб0ю служи1ли насBzны t бGа и3 ўстр0єны: | Upon the third day thou didst command that the waters should be gathered together in the seventh part of the earth: six parts didst thou dry up, and keep them, to the intent that of these some being both planted and tilled might serve before thee. |
43
43
| сл0во бо твоE и3зhде, и3 дёло ѓбіе творsшесz: | For as soon as thy word went forth the work was done. |
44
44
| For immediately there came forth great and innumerable fruit, and manifold pleasures for the taste, and flowers of inimitable color, and odors of most exquisite smell: and this was done the third day. |
45
45
| Въ четвeртый же дeнь повелёлъ є3си2 с0лнечнэй бhти свётлости, лyнному свёту и3 ѕвёздъ расположeнію: | Upon the fourth day thou commandedst that the sun should shine, and the moon give its light, and the stars should be in their order: |
46
46
| and gavest them a charge to do service unto man, that was to be made. |
47
47
| Въ пsтый же дeнь рeклъ є3си2 седмёй чaсти, и3дёже бsше водA собранA, да произведeтъ живHтнаz и3 лет†ющаz и3 ры6бы, и3 тaкw творsшесz: | Upon the fifth day thou saidst unto the seventh part, where the water was gathered together, that it should bring forth living creatures, fowls and fish: and so it came to pass, |
48
48
| водA нэмA и3 бездyшна, ±же б9іимъ мановeніемъ повелэвaхусz, живHтнаz творsше, да t сегw2 ди6внаz тво‰ р0дове возвэщaютъ: | that the dumb water and without life brought forth living things as it was bidden, that the peoples might therefore praise thy wondrous works. |
49
49
| и3 тогдA сохрани1лъ є3си2 двЁ души6: и4мz є3ди1нэй назвaлъ є3си2 є3нHхъ, и3 и4мz вторёй назвaлъ є3си2 леvіаfaмъ, | Then didst thou preserve two living creatures, the one thou calledst Behemoth, and the other thou calledst Leviathan: |
50
50
| и3 разлучи1лъ є3си2 | є3ди1но t другaгw: не бо2 можaше седмaz чaсть, и3дёже бsше водA собранA, вмэсти1ти и5хъ: | and thou didst separate the one from the other: for the seventh part, namely, where the water was gathered together, might not hold them both. |
51
51
| и3 дaлъ є3си2 є3нHху є3ди1ну чaсть, ћже њсушенA є4сть въ трeтій дeнь, да њбитaетъ на нeй, и3дёже сyть г0ръ тhсzща: | Unto Behemoth thou gavest one part, which was dried up on the third day, that he should dwell in the same, wherein are a thousand hills: |
52
52
| леvіаfaму же дaлъ є3си2 седмyю чaсть м0крую и3 сохрани1лъ є3си2 ю5, да бyдетъ въ снёдь, и5мже х0щеши и3 когдA х0щеши. | but unto Leviathan thou gavest the seventh part, namely, the moist; and thou hast kept them to be devoured of whom thou wilt, and when. |
53
53
| Въ шестhй же дeнь повелёлъ є3си2 земли2, да сотвори1тъ пред8 тоб0ю скоты2 и3 ѕвBри и3 гaды, | But upon the sixth day thou gavest commandment unto the earth, that it should bring forth before thee cattle, beasts, and creeping things: |
54
54
| and over these Adam, whom thou ordaindest lord over all the works that thou hast made: of him come we all, the people whom thou hast chosen. |
55
55
| Сі‰ же вс‰ рек0хъ пред8 тоб0ю, гDи, ћкw рaди нaсъ создaлъ є3си2 вёкъ: | All this have I spoken before thee, O Lord, because thou hast said that for our sakes thou madest this world. |
56
56
| пр0чыz же kзhки t ґдaма рождє1ны, рeклъ є3си2 w4ныz ничт0же бhти: ћкw сли1нэ ўпод0блени сyть, и3 ћкw кaпленіе t сосyда ўпод0билъ є3си2 мн0жество и4хъ: | As for the other nations, which also come of Adam, thou hast said that they are nothing, and are like unto spittle: and thou hast likened the abundance of them unto a drop that falleth from a vessel. |
57
57
| и3 нн7э, гDи, сE, тjи kзhцы, и5же ни во чт0же вмэнeни сyть, начaша владёти нaми и3 пожирaти нaсъ: | And now, O Lord, behold these nations, which are reputed as nothing, be lords over us, and devour us. |
58
58
| мh же лю1діе твои2, и5хже нарeклъ є3си2 пeрвенцемъ є3динор0днымъ возлю1бленнымъ твои1мъ, прeдани є3смы2 въ рyки и4хъ: | But we thy people, whom thou hast called thy firstborn, thy only begotten, and thy fervent lover, are given into their hands. |
59
59
| и3 ѓще рaди нaсъ сотворeнъ бhсть вёкъ, вскyю достоsніz не њдержи1мъ съ вёкомъ; док0лэ сі‰ (бyдутъ); | If the world now be made for our sakes, why do we not possess for an inheritance our world? How long shall this endure? |
