After this were the principal men of the families chosen according to their tribes, to go up with their wives and sons and daughters, with their menservants and maidservants, and their cattle. And so dwelt the priests and the Levites and the people in Jerusalem, and in the country, the singers also and the porters; and all Israel in their villages.	Настоsщу же седм0му мцcу и3 сyщымъ сынHмъ ї}левымъ коемyждо во свои1хъ, собрaшасz є3динодyшнw во дв0ръ пeрвыхъ врaтъ вост0чныхъ.

But when the seventh month was at hand, and when the children of Israel were every man in his own place, they came altogether with one consent into the open place of the first gate which is toward the east. to offer burnt sacrifices upon it, according as it is expressly commanded in the book of Moses the man of God. And there were gathered unto them out of the other nations of the land, and they erected the altar upon his own place, because all the nations of the land were at enmity with them, and oppressed them; and they offered sacrifices according to the time, and burnt offerings to the Lord both morning and evening.	И# сотвори1ша кyщей потчeніz прaздникъ, ћкоже повелёно въ зак0нэ, и3 жє1ртвы на всsкъ дeнь, ћкоже подобaше,

Also they held the feast of tabernacles, as it is commanded in the law, and offered sacrifices daily, as was meet:	и3 по си1хъ приношє1ніz непрест†ннаz, и3 жє1ртвы суббw6тніz и3 новомчcныz и3 прaздникwвъ всёхъ њсвzщeнныхъ.

and after that, the continual oblations, and the sacrifice of the sabbaths, and of the new moons, and of all holy feasts.	И# є3ли1цы њбэщaша њбётъ бGу t новомчcіz седмaгw мцcа, начaша приноси1ти жє1ртвы бGу, хрaмъ же гDень не бhсть є3щE создaнъ.

And all they that had made any vow to God began to offer sacrifices to God from the first day of the seventh month, although the temple of the Lord was not yet built.	И# дaша сребро2 каменосёчцємъ и3 дёлателємъ пи1щу и3 питіE съ рaдостію, и3 дaша к†рры сідHнzнwмъ и3 тЂрzнwмъ, да прив0зzтъ и5мъ t лівaна древA кeдрwва, да приведyтъ с{дна во їоппjйское пристaнище, по повелёнію, є4же пи1сано бhсть и5мъ t кЂра царS пeрсскагw.

And they gave unto the masons and carpenters money, meat, and drink, with cheerfulness.	И# во втор0е лёто пришeдъ во хрaмъ б9іи во їеrли1мъ, мцcа вторaгw, начA зоровaвель сhнъ салаfіи1левъ и3 їисyсъ сhнъ їwседeковъ и3 брaтіz и4хъ, и3 свzщeнницы, леvjти и3 вси2, и5же пріид0ша t плэнeніz во їеrли1мъ,

Unto them of Zidon also and Tyre they gave carrs, that they should bring cedar trees from Libanus, which should be brought by floats to the haven of Joppe, according as it was commanded them by Cyrus king of the Persians.	и3 њсновaша хрaмъ б9ій въ новомчcіи вторaгw мцcа вторaгw лёта, є3гдA пріид0ша во їудeю и3 во їеrли1мъ,

And in the second year and second month after his coming to the temple of God at Jerusalem began Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, and Jesus the son of Josedec, and their brethren, and the priests, and the Levites, and all they that were come unto Jerusalem out of the captivity:	и3 постaвиша леvjты t двaдесzти лётъ на дэлA гDнz: и3 стA їисyсъ и3 сhнове є3гw2 и3 брaтіz и3 кадміи1лъ брaтъ, и3 сhнове мадіав{ни, и3 сhнове їwдaа и3ліадyева съ сынми2 и3 брaтіzми, вси2 леvjти є3динодyшнw дёла призирaтеліе, творsще дэлA въ домY гDни, и3 создaша дёлателіе д0мъ гDень.

and they laid the foundation of the house of God in the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come to Jewry and Jerusalem.	И# стaша свzщeнницы њблечeни въ ри6зы съ мусікjею и3 трубaми, и3 леvjти сhнове ґсaфwвы и3мёюще кmмвaлы, восхвалsюще гDа и3 благословsще, по давjду царю2 ї}леву,

And they appointed the Levites from twenty years old over the works of the Lord. Then stood up Jesus, and his sons and brethren, and Cadmiel his brother, and the sons of Emadabun, with the sons of Joda the son of Eliadud, with their sons and brethren, all Levites, with one accord setters forward of the business, labouring to advance the works in the house of the Lord. So the builders built the temple of the Lord.	и3 поsху пёсньми благословsще гDа, ћкw бlгость є3гw2 и3 слaва во вёки во всeмъ ї}ли.

And the priests stood arrayed in their vestments with musical instruments and trumpets; and the Levites the sons of Asaph had cymbals,	И# вси2 лю1діе воструби1ша и3 возгласи1ша глaсомъ вели1кимъ, восхвалsюще гDа њ воздви1женіи д0му гDнz.

singing songs of thanksgiving, and praising the Lord, according as David the king of Israel had ordained.	И# пріид0ша t свzщeнникwвъ, леvjтwвъ и3 предстоsтелей по nтeчествwмъ свои6мъ старBйшины, и5же ви1дэша прeжній д0мъ, къ семY созидaнію съ плaчемъ и3 в0племъ вели1кимъ,

And they sung with loud voices songs to the praise of the Lord, because his mercy and glory is for ever in all Israel.	и3 мн0зи со трубaми и3 рaдостію глaса вeліz,

And all the people sounded trumpets, and shouted with a loud voice, singing songs of thanksgiving unto the Lord for the rearing up of the house of the Lord.	ћкw лю1демъ не слhшати трyбъ плaча рaди людскaгw, нар0дъ бо бhсть трубsщь ѕэлw2, ћкw далeче слhшатисz.

Also of the priests and Levites, and of the chief of their families, the ancients who had seen the former house came to the building of this with weeping and great crying.	И# ўслhшавше врази2 колёна їyдина и3 веніамjнова, пріид0ша познaти, кjй глaсъ трyбный;

But many with trumpets and joy shouted with loud voice,	И# познaша, ћкw сyщіи t плэнeніz созидaютъ хрaмъ гDу бGу ї}леву.

insomuch that the trumpets might not be heard for the weeping of the people; yet the multitude sounded marvellously, so that it was heard afar off.	И# пристyпльше къ зоровaвелю и3 їисyсу и3 къ начaлникwмъ nтeчествъ, рек0ша и5мъ: да созидaемъ вкyпэ съ вaми:

Wherefore when the enemies of the tribe of Juda and Benjamin heard it, they came to know what the noise of trumpets should mean.	тaкw бо, ћкоже вы2, слyшаемъ гDа вaшегw и3 є3мY жрeмъ t днjй ґсвасарefа царS ґссmрjйскагw, и4же пресели2 нaсъ здЁ.

And they perceived that they that were of the captivity did build the temple unto the Lord God of Israel.	И# речE и5мъ зоровaвель и3 їисyсъ и3 нач†лницы nтeчествъ ї}левыхъ: нёсть вaмъ и3 нaмъ созидaти д0мъ гDу бGу нaшему:

So they went to Zorobabel and Jesus, and to the chief of the families, and said unto them, We will build together with you.	мh бо сaми сози1ждемъ гDу бGу ї}леву по чи1ну, ћкоже повелЁ нaмъ кЂръ цaрь пeрсскій.

For we likewise, as ye, do obey your Lord, and do sacrifice unto him from the days of Azbazareth the king of the Assyrians, who brought us hither.	Kзhцы же зeмстіи стужaюще сyщымъ во їудeи и3 пaкwсти творsще, не попущaху созидaти,

Then Zorobabel and Jesus and the chief of the families of Israel said unto them, It is not for us and you to build together an house unto the Lord our God.	и3 кHзни и3 людjй наводsще и3 крамwлы2 творsще возбрани1ша соверши1ти дёло созидaніz во всE врeмz жи1зни кЂра царS, и3 препsтіе сотвори1ша созидaнію лBта двA, дaже до дaріева цaрства.

We ourselves alone will build unto the Lord of Israel, according as Cyrus the king of the Persians hath commanded us.
72
But the heathen of the land lying heavy upon the inhabitants of Judea, and holding them strait, hindered their building;
73
and by their secret plots, and popular persuasions and commotions, they hindered the finishing of the building all the time that king Cyrus lived: so they were hindered from building for the space of two years, until the reign of Darius.
