1
And Achaab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Ju wrote a letter, and sent it into Samaria to the rulers of Samaria, and to the elders, and to the guardians of the children of Achaab, saying, И# ґхаaву бёша сeдмьдесzтъ сhнове во самарjи. И# написA писaніе їиyй и3 послA въ самарjю ко кнzзє1мъ самарjйскимъ и3 къ старёйшинамъ и3 ко корми1телємъ сынHвъ ґхаaвлихъ, глаг0лz:
2
2
Now then, as soon as this letter shall have reached you, whereas there are with you the sons of your master, and with you chariots and horses, and strong cities, and arms, и3 нн7э є3гдA пріи1детъ писaніе сіE къ вaмъ, и3 съ вaми сhнове господи1на вaшегw, и3 съ вaми колєсни1цы и3 к0ни, и3 грaды твє1рды и3 nр{жіz:
3
3
do ye accordingly look out the best and fittest among your master's sons, and set him on the throne of his father, and fight for the house of your master. и3 ќзрите благaго и3 прaваго въ сынёхъ господи1на вaшегw, и3 постaвите є3го2 на прест0лэ nтцA є3гw2, и3 да вою1ете њ д0мэ господи1на вaшегw.
4
4
And they feared greatly, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: and how shall we stand? И# ўбоsшасz ѕэлw2 и3 рёша: сE, двA цар‰ не возмог0ста стaти проти1ву лицY є3гw2, и3 кaкw мы2 стaнемъ;
5
5
So they that were over the house, and they that were over the city, and the elders and the guardians, sent to Ju, saying, We also are thy servants, and whatsoever thou shalt say to us we will do; we will not make any man king: we will do that which is right in thine eyes.
6
6
And Ju wrote them a second letter, saying, If ye are for me, and hearken to my voice, take the heads of the men your master's sons, and bring them to me at this time to-morrow in Jezrael. Now the sons of the king were seventy men; these great men of the city brought them up. И# написA къ ни6мъ їиyй писaніе втор0е, глаг0лz: ѓще вы2 мои2 и3 глaса моегw2 вы2 послyшаете, возми1те главы6 мужeй сынHвъ господи1на вaшегw и3 принеси1те ко мнЁ, ћкоже чaсъ ќтрw, во їезраeль.
7
7
And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew them, even seventy men, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him at Jezrael. И# бhсть є3гдA пріи1де къ ни6мъ писaніе, и3 взsша сhны царє1вы и3 заклaша и4хъ сeдмьдесzтъ мужeй, и3 возложи1ша главы6 и5хъ въ кHшницы и3 послaша и4хъ къ немY во їезраeль.
8
8
And a messenger came and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay them in two heaps by the door of the gate until the morning. И# речE: положи1те | въ двA хwлмA при вратёхъ грaда до заyтра.
9
9
And the morning came, and he went forth, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye are righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these? И# бhсть заyтра, и3 и3зhде и3 стA во вратёхъ грaда, и3 речE ко всBмъ лю1демъ: прaведни вы2: сE, ѓзъ є4смь, њбрати1хсz на господи1на моего2 и3 ўби1хъ є3го2: и3 кто2 порази2 всёхъ си1хъ;
10
10
See now that there shall not fall to the ground anything of the word of the Lord which the Lord spoke against the house of Achaab: for the Lord has performed all that he spoke of by the hand of his servant Eliu.
11
11
And Ju smote all that were left of the house of Achaab in Jezrael, and all his great men, and his acquaintance, and his priests, so as not to leave him any remnant. И# и3зби2 їиyй всёхъ њстaвшихсz въ домY ґхаaвли во їезраeли, и3 вс‰ вельм0жы є3гw2, и3 знaемыz є3гw2, и3 жерцы2 є3гw2, ћкw не њстaтисz є3гw2 њстaнку.
12
12
And he arose and went to Samaria, and he was in the house of sheep-shearing in the way. И# востA и3 и4де въ самарjю сaмъ, въ веfакaдъ пaстырскій при пути2.
13
13
And Ju found the brethren of Ochozias king of Juda, and said, Who are ye? And they said, We are the brethren of Ochozias, and we have come down to salute the sons of the king, and the sons of the queen. И# їиyй њбрёте брaтію nхозjи царS їyдина и3 речE: кто2 вы2; И# рёша: брaтіz nхоз‡ины мы2, и3 снид0хомъ поздрaвити сhны царє1вы и3 сы6ны њбладaющіz.
14
14
And he said, Take them alive. And they slew them at the shearing-house, forty and two men: he left not a man of them. И# взsша и4хъ живhхъ, и3 заклaша и5хъ въ веfакадЁ, четhредесzть двA м{жа: и3 не њстaви мyжа t ни1хъ.
15
15
And he went thence and found Jonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he saluted him, and Ju said to him, Is thy heart right with my heart, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jonadab said, It is. And Ju said, If it is then, give me thy hand. And he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot.
16
16
And he said to him, Come with me, and see me zealous for the Lord. And he caused him to sit in his chariot.
17
17
And he entered into Samaria, and smote all that were left of Achaab in Samaria, until he had utterly destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Eliu.
18
18
And Ju gathered all the people, and said to them, Achaab served Baal a little; Ju shall serve him much. И# собрA їиyй вс‰ лю1ди и3 речE къ ни6мъ: ґхаaвъ пораб0та ваaлу мaлw, їиyй же пораб0таетъ є3мY мн0гw:
19
19
Now then do all ye the prophets of Baal call all his servants and his priests to me; let not a man be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to offer to Baal; every one who shall be missing shall die. But Ju did it in subtilty, that he might destroy the servants of Baal.
20
20
And Ju said, Sanctify a solemn festival to Baal, and they made a proclamation.
21
21
And Ju sent throughout all Israel, saying, Now then let all Baal's servants, and all his priests, and all his prophets come, let none be lacking: for I am going to offer a great sacrifice; whosoever shall be missing, shall not live. So all the servants of Baal came, and all his priests, and all his prophets: there was not one left who came not. And they entered into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to the other. И# послA їиyй во вeсь ї}ль и3 речE, глаг0лz: и3 нн7э вси2 раби2 ваaлwвы, и3 вси2 жерцы2 є3гw2, и3 вси2 прор0цы є3гw2, да никт0же њстaнетсz, ћкw жeртву вели1ку творю2: и4же њстaнетсz, не бyдетъ жи1въ и3 пріид0ша вси2 раби2 ваaлwвы, и3 вси2 жерцы2 є3гw2, и3 вси2 прор0цы є3гw2: не њстaсz мyжъ, и4же не пріи1де: и3 внид0ша во хрaмъ ваaловъ, и3 нап0лнисz хрaмъ ваaловъ t крaz да крaz.
22
22
And he said to the man who was over the house of the wardrobe, Bring forth a robe for all the servants of Baal. And the keeper of the robes brought forth to them.
23
23
And Ju and Jonadab the son of Rechab entered into the house of Baal, and said to the servants of Baal, Search, and see whether there is among you any of the servants of the Lord, or only the servants of Baal, by themselves. И# вни1де їиyй и3 їwнадaвъ сhнъ рихaвль въ хрaмину ваaлову и3 речE рабHмъ ваaлwвымъ: и3спытaйте и3 ви1дите, ѓще є4сть съ вaми t рабHвъ гDнихъ, и3 вhшлите всёхъ рабHвъ гDнихъ њбрётшихсz тaмw.
24
24
And he went in to offer sacrifices and whole-burnt-offerings; and Ju set for himself eighty men without, and said, Every man who shall escape of the men whom I bring into your hand, the life of him that spares him shall go for his life. И# вни1де сотвори1ти жє1ртвы и3 всесожжє1ніz и3 їиyй постaви себЁ внЁ џсмьдесzтъ мужeй и3 речE: мyжъ и4же ѓще ўг0нзетъ t мужeй, и5хже ѓзъ и3звождY въ рyки вaшz, душA є3гw2 вмёстw души2 є3гw2.
25
25
And it came to pass, when he had finished offering the whole-burnt-offering, that Ju said to the footmen and the officers, Go ye in and slay them; let not a man of them escape. So they smote them with the edge of the sword, and the footmen and the officers cast the bodies forth, and went to the city of the house of Baal. И# бhсть є3гдA скончA творsй всесожжє1ніz, и3 речE їиyй предтекyщымъ и3 трістaтwмъ: вшeдше и3збjйте и4хъ, да не и3зhдетъ t ни1хъ мyжъ. И# и3зби1ша и5хъ џстріемъ мечA и3 поверг0ша предтекyщіи и3 трістaты, и3 и3д0ша дaже до грaда хрaма ваaлова:
26
26
And they brought out the pillar of Baal, and burnt it.
27
27
And they tore down the pillars of Baal, and made his house a draught-house until this day.
28
28
So Ju abolished Baal out of Israel. И# погуби2 їиyй хрaмъ ваaловъ t ї}лz.
29
29
Nevertheless Ju departed not from following the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who led Israel to sin: these were the golden heifers in Bæthel and in Dan. Nбaче t грэхHвъ їеровоaма сhна навaтова, и4же введE въ грёхъ ї}лz, не tступи2 їиyй t послёдованіz и4хъ: ю4ницы златы6z, ±же въ веfи1ли и3 въ дaнэ.
30
30
And the Lord said to Ju, Because of all thy deeds wherein thou hast acted well in doing that which was right in my eyes, according to all things which thou hast done to the house of Achaab as they were in my heart, thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel.
31
31
But Ju took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart: he departed not from following the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.
32
32
In those days the Lord began to cut Israel short; and Azael smote them in every coast of Israel; Во дни6 џны начA гDь посэцaти во ї}ли: и3 порази2 и5хъ ґзаи1лъ во всёхъ предёлэхъ ї}левыхъ,
33
33
from Jordan eastward all the land of Galaad belonging to the Gadites, of Gaddi and that of Ruben, and of Manasses, from Aroer, which is on the brink of the brook of Arnon, and Galaad and Basan. t їoрдaна на вост0къ с0лнца, всю2 зeмлю галаaдску и3 гаддjиску, и3 руви1мову и3 манассjину, t ґрои1ра, и4же є4сть при ќстіи пот0ка ґрнHнска, и3 галаaдъ и3 васaнъ.
34
34
And the rest of the acts of Ju, and all that he did, and all his might, and the wars wherein he engaged, are not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? И# прHчаz словeсъ їиyевыхъ, и3 вс‰ ±же сотвори2, и3 всS си1ла є3гw2, и3 совэщaніz, ±же совещA, не сE ли, сі‰ напи6сана въ кни1зэ словeсъ днjй царeй ї}левыхъ;
35
35
And Ju slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria: and Joachaz his son reigned in his stead.
36
36
And the days which Ju reigned over Israel were twenty-eight years in Samaria. И# днjй бsше, въ нsже їиyй цaрствова над8 ї}лемъ въ самарjи, двaдесzть џсмь лётъ.
