Сло'во и^же бы'сть къ і^еремїи эT г~а рекђщи.
|
The word that came from the Lord to
|

|
вᲆста'ни и^ вᲆзы'иди в до'м# скђделничїи, і^ т^ђ слы'шиши словеса` моа`.
|
Jeremias, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there thou shalt hear my words.
|
|

|
И$ внидохъ въ до'мъ скђде'льничь, и^ с^е то'и творя'ше дњ'ло на колесњ.
|
So I went down to the potter's house, and behold, he was making a vessel on the stones.
|
|

|
|
и^ разваленъ е^сть сосђдᲆ е^гоже то'и творя'ше эT гли'ны рђка'ми свои'ми. и^ ѓ^брати'вся сътвори с того` сосђдъ и%ныи ја%ко ё^гоDно въ ѓ'чїю е^го да сътворитъ”
|
And the vessel which he was making with his hands fell: so he made it again another vessel, as it seemed good to him to make it.
|

И$ бы'сть сло'во гн~е къ мнњ` рекђщи.
|
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
|

|
е^да` л^и ја%ко скђде'л#никъ т^о и^ не възмогђ ва'мъ сътвори'ти до'ме і^и^л~евᲆ рече г~ь” Се^ ја%ко бе'рнїе въ рђ'кђ скђде'лничю. та'ко в^ы доме і^и^л~евᲆ, в рђкђ мою`.
|
Shall I not be able, O house of Israel, to do to you as this potter? behold, as the clay of the potter are ye in my hands.
|

ё^сᲄремлено гл~ю на ја^ꙁыки и^ на црsтва. да и^скореню и^ раꙁорю и^ расточю
|
If I shall pronounce a decree upon a nation, or upon a kingdom, to cut them off, and to destroy them;
|

|
|
и&” А$ще покаа'нїе съдњ'ютъ лю'дїе эT лђкаvства свое^го и^же гл~алъ е^сть на' ня, дњ'ю і^ аZ покаа'нїе на лђка'в#ства чт^о помы'слиX да сътворю е^мђ,
|
and that nation turn from all their sins, then will I repent of the evils which I purposed to do to them.
|

и^ скоро гл~ю ѓ^ ја^ꙁы'кахъ и^ црsтвахъ да соѕиждђ и^ насаждђ я&,
|
And if I shall pronounce a decree upon a nation and kingdom, to rebuild and to plant it;
|
|

|
а^ще л^и сътворяT лђка'во преD ѓ^чи'ма мои'ма. да не ё^слы'шат# гла'са мое^го, покаа'нїе дњ'ю на бл~го чт^о гл~алъ е^смь да сътворю и^мъ”
|
and they do evil before me, so as not to hearken to my voice, then will I repent of the good which I spoke of, to do it to them.
|

нн~њ б^о рцы мђ'жђ і^ё'динђ и^ ѓ^битателю і^ерsли'ма рекђщи” Сїя рече г~ь. с^е а^ꙁъ совњща'ю на ва'съ лђка'во и^ помышлю на ва'съ помышленїе. ѓ^брати'теся е^ді'нъ ко'ждоy эT пђти` свое^го зла'го. і^ и^спра'вите пђти ва'ша и^ мышленїя ва'ша.
|
And now say to the men of Juda, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Behold, I prepare evils against you, and devise a device against you: let every one turn now from his evil way, and amend your practices.
|

и^же реко'шA эTчая'хомся, по помышле'нїихъ б^о на'шихъ и^демъ. и^ е^ді'нъ ко'ждо же строптив#ство срDца свое^го лђка'во да сътвори'мъ”
|
And they said, We will quit ourselves like men, for we will pursue our perverse ways, and we will perform each the lusts of his evil heart.
|

Сего ради сїя рече г~ь въпроси'те ја^ꙁы'коv, кт^о слы'ша таковђ гроꙁђ и^же сътвори ѕњ'ло дв~а і^и^л~ева.
|
Therefore thus saith the Lord; Enquire now among the nations, who has heard such very horrible things as the virgin of Israel has done?

|
е^да` ѓ^скђдњ'етъ эT ка'мене по'льска снњгᲆ лива'новъ, и^л^и и^стрᲆгнђти могђтъ воды` кипя'щи и^ сᲄђде'ны и^злїя'ющи.
|
Will fertilising streams fail to flow from a rock, or snow fail from Libanus? will water violently impelled by the wind turn aside?
|

|
и^же ꙁабвены е^сть мнњ` лю'ди мои сђе'тво жрђще и^ попира'юще на пђтехъ свои^хъ. и^ на сте'ѕяхъ вњка да въсходя'тъ по ни'хъ пђти` нетре'нњмъ,
|
For my people have forgotten me, they have offered incense in vain, and they fail in their ways, leaving the ancient tracks, to enter upon impassable paths;
|

|
да бђ'детъ ꙁемля` и^хъ въ ꙁапђстњнїе и^ въ звиѕда'нїе вњ'чное” Вся'къ и^же пре'идеT по не'и почюди'тся, и^ покива'етъ главо'ю свое'ю.
|
to make their land a desolation, and a perpetual hissing; all that go through it shall be amazed, and shall shake their heads.
|

|
ја%ко вњтръ горющїи расторгнђ и^хъ преD врагы`. хребетъ а^ не лице покажђ и^мъ въ дн~ь поги'бели и^хъ”
|
I will scatter them before their enemies like an east wind; I will shew them the day of their destruction.
|

|
И$ реко'ша прїидњте помы'слимъ на і^еремїю совњтъ, н^и б^о и^ꙁги'нетъ ꙁако'нъ эT сщ~е'нника н^и совњтъ эT премђ'драго. н^и сло'во эT проро'ка прїидњте и^ пораꙁи'мᲆ е^го ја%ꙁы'комъ, и^ не воньмњмъ въ всњхъ словесњхъ е^го”
|
Then they said, Come, and let us devise a device against Jeremias; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and we will hear all his words.

Во'ньми г~и кᲆ мнњ и^ слы'ши гла'съ сђпоста'тъ мои^хъ.
|
Hear me, O Lord, and hear the voice of my pleading.
|
|

|
е^да въздае'т ли ся ꙁа бл~го ѕл^о иже и^скопа'ша ро'въ дш~и моеи, помяни'ся и^же стоя'хъ преD тобо'ю да въꙁгл~ю ꙁа ни'хъ бл~гая, да ѓ^брящђ гнњвъ твои эT нихъ.
|
Forasmuch as evil is rewarded for good; for they have spoken words against my soul, and they have hidden the punishment they meant for me; remember that I stood before thy face, to speak good for them, to turn away thy wrath from them.
|

сего ра'ди да'и сн~ове иX въ гла'дъ, і^ и^зведи` и^хъ в рђкђ мечю` да бђдђтъ же'ны и^хъ беꙁча'дны и^ вдо'вы, и^ мђжи и^хъ ё^бїются сме'ртїю, ю'ноша и^хъ и^ско'лются мечеM на ра'ти,
|
Therefore do thou deliver their sons to famine, and gather them to the power of the sword: let their women be childless and widows; and let their men be cut off by death, and their young men fall by the sword in war.

|
да слышится во'пль эT домо'въ и^хъ” І$ и^ꙁведе'ши на нихъ разбо'иника ё^стремле'но, и^же и^скопа'ша мн^њ ровъ да и^мђтъ м^я, и^ сњти съкры'ша нога'мъ мои^мъ”
|
Let there be a cry in their houses: thou shalt bring upon them robbers suddenly: for they have formed a plan to take me, and have hidden snares for me.
|

Ты' же г~и вњси вс^я совњты и^хъ на' мя въ смр~ть, не и^сцњли'ши безако'нїе и^хъ эT лица` твое^го и^ грњхъ и^хъ да не изгла'дится, да бђдђтъ разᲆдрђше'ни преD тобо'ю. и^ въ время ја%рости твоея съблюди` и^хъ”
|
And thou, Lord, knowest all their deadly counsel against me: account not their iniquities guiltless, and blot not out their sins from before thee: let their weakness come before thee; deal with them in the time of thy wrath.
