(Зач. 74) І бисть єгда́ вни́ти Єму́ в дом ні́коєго кня́зя фарисе́йська в субо́ту хліб я́сти, і ті́ї бя́ху назира́юще Єго́.
|
And it came to pass, when he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him.
|

|
І се челові́к ні́кий, іми́й водни́й труд, бі пред Ним.
|
And behold, there was before him a certain man that had the dropsy.
|
|

|
І отвіща́в Ісу́с рече́ к зако́нником і фарисе́йом, глаго́ля: а́ще достої́ть в субо́ту ціли́ти?
|
And Jesus answered and spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath?
|

|
Они́ же умолча́ша. І приє́м ісціли́ єго́, і отпусти́.
|
But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.
|

|
І отвіща́в к ним рече́: кото́раго от вас осе́л іли́ вол в студене́ць впаде́ть, і не а́біє ли істо́ргнеть єго́ в день субо́тний?
|
And he answered them and said, Which of you shall have a son or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightaway draw him up on the sabbath day?
|

І не возмого́ша отвіща́ти Єму́ к сим.
|
And they could not answer him again unto these things.
|
|

|
Глаго́лаше же к зва́нним при́тчу, обдержя́ [внима́я], ка́ко предсіда́нія ізбира́ху, глаго́ля к ним:
|
And he spake a parable unto those that were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief seats; saying unto them,
|

|
|
єгда́ зван бу́деши ким на брак, не ся́ди на пре́днем мі́сті; єда́ кто честні́є тебе́ бу́деть зва́нних,
|
When thou art bidden of any man to a marriage feast, sit not down in the chief seat; lest haply a more honorable man than thou be bidden of him,
|

|
і прише́д і́же тебе́ зва́вий і о́наго, рече́ть ті: даждь сему́ мі́сто; і тогда́ на́чнеши со студо́м послі́днеє мі́сто держа́ти.
|
and he that bade thee and him shall come and say to thee, Give this man place; and then thou shalt begin with shame to take the lowest place.
|

Но єгда́ зван бу́деши, шед ся́ди на послі́днем мі́сті, да єгда́ при́йдеть зва́вий тя, рече́ть ті: дру́же, пося́ди ви́ше; тогда́ бу́деть ті сла́ва пред зва́нними с тобо́ю.
|
But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that hath bidden thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have glory in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

Я́ко всяк вознося́йся смири́ться, і смиря́яйся вознесе́ться.
|
For everyone that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
|

|
(Зач. 75) Глаго́лаше же і ко зва́вшему Єго́: єгда́ сотвори́ши обі́д іли́ ве́черю, не зови́ друго́в твої́х, ні бра́тії твоєя́, ні сро́дник твої́х, ні сосі́д бога́тих — єда́ когда́ і ті́ї тя та́кожде воззову́ть, і бу́деть ті воздая́ніє.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

|
Но єгда́ твори́ши пир, зови́ ни́щия, маломо́щния, хроми́я, сліпи́я —
|
But when thou makest a feast, bid the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
|

|
|
і блаже́н бу́деши, я́ко не і́муть ті что возда́ти; возда́сть же ті ся в воскреше́ніє пра́ведних.
|
and thou shalt be blessed; because they have not wherewith to recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.
|

|
Сли́шав же ні́кий от возлежа́щих с Ним сія́, рече́ Єму́: блаже́н, і́же сність обі́д в Ца́рствії Бо́жиї.
|
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat dinner in the kingdom of God.
|

(Зач. 76) Он же рече́ єму́: челові́к ні́кий сотвори́ ве́черю ве́лію, і зва мно́гі;
|
But he said unto him, A certain man made a great supper; and he bade many:
|

|
і посла́ раба́ своєго́ в год ве́чері рещи́ зва́нним: гряді́те, я́ко уже́ гото́ва суть вся.
|
and he sent forth his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
|
|

|
|
І нача́ша вку́пі отрица́тися всі. Пе́рвий рече́ єму́: село́ купи́х, і і́мам нужду́ ізи́ти і ви́діти є. Молю́тіся, імі́й м'я отрече́на.
|
And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a field, and I must needs go out and see it; I pray thee have me excused.

І други́й рече́: супру́г воло́в купи́х п'ять, і гряду́ іскуси́ти їх; молю́ тя, імі́й м'я отрече́на.
|
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee have me excused.
|

|
|
І други́й рече́: жену́ поя́х, і сего́ ра́ди не могу́ прийти́.
|
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
|
|

|
І прише́д раб той пові́да господи́ну своєму́ сія́. Тогда́ разгні́вався до́му влади́ка, рече́ рабу́ своєму́: ізи́ди ско́ро на распу́тія і сто́гни гра́да, і ни́щия, і бі́дния, і сліпи́я, і хроми́я введи́ сі́мо.

And that servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and lame and blind.

|
І рече́ раб. Го́споди, бисть я́коже повелі́л єси́, і єще́ мі́сто єсть.
|
And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
|

|
І рече́ господи́н к рабу́: ізи́ди на путі́ і халу́ги, і убіди́ вни́ти, да напо́лниться дом мо́й;
|
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain them to come in, that my house may be filled.
|
|

|
|
глаго́лю бо вам, я́ко ні єди́н муже́й тіх зва́нних вку́сить моєя́ ве́чері, мно́зі бо суть зва́ні, ма́ло же ізбра́нних.
|
For I say unto you, that none of those men that were bidden shall taste of my supper. For many are called, but few chosen.
|

(Зач. 77) Ідя́ху же с Ним наро́ди мно́зі; і обра́щся рече́ к ним:
|
Now there went with him great multitudes: and he turned, and said unto them,
|

|
а́ще кто гряде́ть ко Мні і не возненави́дить отця́ своєго́ і ма́тер, і жену́, і чад, і бра́тію, і сестр, єще́ же і ду́шу свою́, не мо́жеть Мо́й би́ти учени́к;
|
If any man cometh unto me, and hateth not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
|

|
і і́же не но́сить креста́ своєго́ і вслід Мене́ гряде́ть, не мо́жеть Мо́й би́ти учени́к.
|
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
|

|
Кто бо от вас, хотя́й столп созда́ти, не пре́жде ли сід расчте́ть імі́ніє, а́ще і́мать, є́же єсть на соверше́ніє,
|
For which of you, that desireth to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have wherewith to complete it?
|

|
да не, когда́ положи́ть основа́ніє і не возмо́жеть соверши́ти, всі ви́дящії начну́ть руга́тися єму́,
|
Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,
|

|
|
глаго́люще, я́ко сей челові́к нача́т зда́ти і не мо́же соверши́ти.
|
saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
|
|

|
|
Іли́ кий цар іди́й ко іно́му царю́ сни́тися с ним на брань, не сід ли пре́жде совіщава́єть, а́ще си́лен єсть срі́сти с десятію́ ти́сящ гряду́щаго со двіма́десятма ти́сящама нань?
|
Or what king, as he goeth to encounter another king in war, sitteth not down first and taketh counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
|

|
А́ще ли же ні, єще́ дале́че єму́ су́щу, моле́ніє посла́в мо́литься о смире́нії.
|
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an embassage, and asketh conditions of peace.
|

|
Та́ко у́бо всяк от вас, і́же не отрече́ться всего́ своєго́ імі́нія, не мо́жеть би́ти Мо́й учени́к.
|
So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
|

|
Добро́ єсть соль; а́ще же соль обуя́єть, чим осоли́ться?
|
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
|

|
|
Ні в зе́млю, ні в гной потре́бна єсть; вон ізси́плють ю́. Імі́яй у́ші сли́шати, да сли́шить.
|
It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
