| И# речE гDь ко їисyсу: не б0йсz, нижE ўжасaйсz: поими2 съ соб0ю вс‰ мyжы вои6нскіz, и3 востaвъ взhди въ гaй: сE, предaхъ въ рyцэ твои2 царS гaйска и3 зeмлю є3гw2, и3 лю1ди є3гw2 и3 грaдъ є3гw2: | And the Lord said to Joshua, Fear not, nor be timorous: take with thee all the men of war, and arise, go up to Gai; behold, I have given into thy hands the king of Gai, and his land. |

| и3 да сотвори1ши гaю и3 царю2 є3гw2, ћкоже сотвори1лъ є3си2 їеріхHну и3 царю2 є3гw2: и3 плёнъ є3гw2 и3 скоты2 є3гw2 да плэни1ши себЁ: ўстр0й же себЁ подсaду грaду за соб0ю. | And thou shalt do to Gai, as thou didst to Jericho and its king; and thou shalt take to thyself the spoil of its cattle; set now for thyself an ambush for the city behind. |

| И# востA їисyсъ и3 вси2 мyжіе вои1нстіи, да вни1дутъ въ гaй: и3 и3збрA їисyсъ три1десzть тhсzщъ мужeй вои1нскихъ си1льныхъ крёпостію и3 послA и5хъ н0щію, | And Joshua and all the men of war rose to go up to Gai; and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men, and he sent them away by night. |

| и3 заповёда и5мъ, глаг0лz: вы2 скрhйтесz за грaдомъ: не далeче бyдите t грaда ѕэлw2, и3 бyдите вси2 гот0ви: | And he charged them, saying, Do ye lie in ambush behind the city: do not go far from the city, and ye shall all be ready. |

| ѓзъ же и3 вси2 лю1діе и5же со мн0ю пристyпимъ ко грaду: и3 бyдетъ є3гдA и3зhдутъ живyщіи въ гаи2 въ срётеніе нaмъ, ћкоже и3 прeжде, и3 побёгнемъ t лицA и4хъ: | And I and all with me will draw near to the city: and it shall come to pass when the inhabitants of Gai shall come forth to meet us, as before, that we will flee from before them. |

| и3 є3гдA и3зhдутъ в8слёдъ нaсъ, tт0ргнемъ и5хъ t грaда: и3 рекyтъ: бэжaтъ сjи t лицA нaшегw, ћкоже и3 прeжде: | And when they shall come out after us, we will draw them away from the city; and they will say, These men flee from before us, as also before. |

| вh же востaнете t подсaды, и3 п0йдете во грaдъ, и3 предaстъ є3го2 гDь бGъ нaшъ въ рyцэ вaши: | And ye shall rise up out of the ambuscade, and go into the city. |

| и3 бyдетъ є3гдA в0змете грaдъ, запали1те є3го2 nгнeмъ, по словеси2 семY сотвори1те: сE, заповёдаю вaмъ. | Ye shall do according to this word, lo! I have commanded you. |

| И# послA и5хъ їисyсъ, и3 и3д0ша въ подсaду: и3 сэд0ша междY веfи1лемъ и3 междY гaіемъ, t м0рz гaіа. | And Joshua sent them, and they went to lie in ambush; and they lay between Bæthel and Gai, westward of Gai. |

| И# востaвъ їисyсъ заyтра, соглsда лю1ди: и3 взhде сaмъ и3 стaрцы ї}лтестіи пред8 людьми2 въ гaй. | And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people; and he went up, he and the elders before the people to Gai. |

| И# вси2 лю1діе вои1нстіи съ ни1мъ взыд0ша, и3 и3дyще пріид0ша сопроти1въ грaда t вост0кwвъ: и3 подс†ды грaда t м0рz. | And all the men of war went up with him, and they went forward and came over against the city eastward. |

| И# њполчи1шасz t сёвера гaіа, и3 (бhсть) дeбрь междY и4ми и3 междY гaіемъ. И# взS ћкw пsть тhсzщъ мужeй, и3 положи2 и5хъ на подсaду междY веfи1лемъ и3 гaіемъ t зaпада гaіа. | And the ambuscade was on the west side of the city. |

| И# постaвиша лю1діе вeсь п0лкъ t сёвера грaда, ґ прHчаz є3гw2 t м0рz грaда. И# п0йде їисyсъ въ н0щь џну посредЁ дeбри. | |
|

| И# бhсть є3гдA ўви1дэ цaрь гaйскій, потщaсz, и3 востA рaнw и3 и3зhде въ срётеніе и5мъ прsмw на брaнь, сaмъ и3 вси2 лю1діе є3гw2 съ ни1мъ во врeмz, пред8 лицeмъ подсaды: џнъ же не вёдzше, ћкw подсaда є3мY є4сть за грaдомъ (є3гw2). | And it came to pass when the king of Gai saw it, he hasted and went out to meet them direct to the battle, he and all the people that were with him: and he knew not that there was an ambuscade formed against him behind the city. |

| И# ўви1дэ, и3 tи1де їисyсъ и3 вeсь лю1дъ t лицA и4хъ, и3 побэжE путeмъ пустhни. | And Joshua and Israel saw, and retreated from before them. |
|

| И# ўкрэпи1сz вeсь лю1дъ гнaти в8слёдъ и4хъ, и3 погнaша в8слёдъ сынHвъ ї}левыхъ, и3 tступи1ша t грaда. | And they pursued after the children of Israel, and they themselves went to a distance from the city. |
|

| (И#) не њстaсz никт0же въ гаи2 и3 веfи1ли, и4же не погнA в8слёдъ ї}лz: и3 њстaвиша грaдъ tвeрстъ, и3 гнaша в8слёдъ ї}лz. | There was no one left in Gai who did not pursue after Israel; and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel. |

| И# речE гDь ко їисyсу: простри2 рyку твою2 съ копіeмъ, є4же въ руцЁ твоeй, на грaдъ, занE въ рyку твою2 предaхъ є3го2: и3 подс†ды востaнутъ вск0рэ t мёста своегw2. И# прострE їисyсъ рyку свою2 и3 съ копіeмъ на грaдъ. | And the Lord said to Joshua, Stretch forth thy hand with the spear that is in thy hand toward the city, for I have delivered it into thy hands; and the liers in wait shall rise up quickly out of their place. |

| И# подс†ды востaша ск0рw t мёста своегw2: и3 и3зыд0ша, є3гдA прострE рyку, и3 внид0ша во грaдъ, и3 взsша є3го2: и3 потщaвшесz запали1ша грaдъ nгнeмъ. | And Joshua stretched out his hand and his spear toward the city, and the ambuscade rose up quickly out of their place; and they came forth when he stretched out his hand; and they entered into the city, and took it; and they hasted and burnt the city with fire. |

| И# њзрёвшесz њбитaтєли гaйстіи вспsть себє2, ўзрёша дhмъ восходsщь t грaда до небесE, и3 ктомY не и3мёша кaмw побёгнути, сёмw и3ли2 nвaмw: лю1діе же бэгyщіи въ пустhню њбрати1шасz на гонsщихъ. | And when the inhabitants of Gai looked round behind them, then they saw the smoke going up out of the city to heaven, and they were no longer able to flee this way or that way. |

| Їисyсъ же и3 вeсь ї}ль ўви1дэша, ћкw взsша подс†ды грaдъ, и3 ћкw восх0дитъ дhмъ грaдный до небесE: и3 њбрати1вшесz и3зби1ша мужeй гaйскихъ. | And Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambuscade had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city went up to heaven; and they turned and smote the men of Gai. |

| И# сjи и3зыд0ша и3з8 грaда проти1ву и5мъ, и3 бhша посредЁ полкA ї}лева, сjи tсю1ду и3 сjи toнyду: и3 и3зби1ша и5хъ, д0ндеже не њстaсz ни є3ди1нъ t ни1хъ цёлъ, ни ўбэжA. | And these came forth out of the city to meet them; and they were in the midst of the army, some being on this side, and some on that; and they smote them until there was not left of them one who survived and escaped. |

| И# царS гaйска ћша жи1ва, и3 привед0ша є3го2 ко їисyсу. | And they took the king of Gai alive, and brought him to Joshua. |

| И# бhсть є3гдA престaша сhнове ї}лєвы сэкyще всёхъ сyщихъ въ гаи2 и3 сyщихъ на полsхъ и3 на горЁ и3сх0да, и3дёже гони1ша и5хъ, и3 пад0ша вси2 џстріемъ мечA на нeй до концA: и3 њбрати1сz їисyсъ въ гaй и3 посэчE и5хъ мечeмъ. | And when the children of Israel had ceased slaying all that were in Gai, and in the fields, and in the mountain on the descent, from whence they pursued them even to the end, then Joshua returned to Gai, and smote it with the edge of the sword. |

| И# бhша вси2 пaдшіи въ т0й дeнь t мyжеска п0лу и3 до жeнска дванaдесzть тhсzщъ, вси2 живyщіи въ гаи2. | And they that fell in that day, men and women, were twelve thousand: they slew all the inhabitants of Gai. |

| Їисyсъ же не њбрати2 руки2 своеS, ю4же прострE съ копіeмъ, д0ндеже проклS всёхъ њбитaющихъ въ гаи2. | |

| КромЁ скотHвъ (и4хъ) и3 и3мёніz, ±же во грaдэ џнэмъ, вс‰ плэни1ша себЁ сhнове ї}лєвы по повелёнію гDню, ћкоже повелЁ гDь їисyсу. | Beside the spoils that were in the city, all things which the children of Israel took as spoil for themselves according to the command of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Joshua. |

| И# запали2 грaдъ їисyсъ nгнeмъ: зeмлю неwбитaему во вёкъ положи2 є3го2 дaже до сегw2 днE. | And Joshua burnt the city with fire: he made it an uninhabited heap for ever, even to this day. |
|

| И# царS гaйска повёси на дрeвэ сугyбэмъ: и3 бsше на дрeвэ до вeчера: и3 заходsщу с0лнцу повелЁ їисyсъ, и3 снsша тёло є3гw2 съ дрeва, и3 поверг0ша є5 въ р0въ пред8 враты2 грaда: и3 насhпа над8 ни1мъ громaду вели1ку кaменіz дaже до сегw2 днE. | And he hanged the king of Gai on a gallows; and he remained on the tree till evening: and when the sun went down, Joshua gave charge, and they took down his body from the tree, and cast it into a pit, and they set over him a heap of stones until this day. |

| ћкоже заповёда мwmсeй рaбъ гDень сынHмъ ї}лєвымъ, и3 ћкоже написaсz въ зак0нэ мwmсeовэ, nлтaрь t кaменій всецёлыхъ, на ни1хже не возложи1сz желёзо: и3 вознесE тaмw всесожжє1ніz гDу и3 жeртву спасeніz. | |

| И# написA їисyсъ на кaменіихъ вторhй зак0нъ, зак0нъ мwmсeовъ, є3г0же написA пред8 сы6ны ї}левыми. | |
|

| И# вeсь ї}ль, и3 стaрцы и4хъ и3 судіи6 и4хъ и3 книгHчіz и4хъ предходsху сю1ду и3 сю1ду пред8 ківHтомъ, и3 жерцы2 и3 леvjти воздвизaша ківHтъ завёта гDнz, пришeлецъ же и3 тузeмецъ: и5же бhша полови1на и4хъ бли1з8 горы2 гарізjнъ, и3 полови1на и4хъ бли1з8 горы2 гевaлъ, ћкоже заповёда мwmсeй рaбъ гDень блгcви1ти людjй ї}левыхъ въ пeрвыхъ. | |

| И# по си1хъ тaкw прочтE їисyсъ вс‰ словесA зак0на сегw2, благословє1ніz и3 кл‰твы, по всемY напи1санному въ зак0нэ мwmсeовэ. | |

| Не бsше словесE t всёхъ, ±же заповёда мwmсeй їисyсу, є3гHже не прочтE їисyсъ во ќши всегw2 с0нма сынHвъ ї}левыхъ, мужє1мъ и3 женaмъ, и3 дётемъ и3 пришeлцємъ приходsщымъ ко ї}лю. |
