Chapter 9	Глава 9

And it came to pass when Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord, and the king's house, and all the work of Solomon, whatever he wished to perform,	Після того, як Соломон скінчив будівництво храму Господнього і дому царського й усе, що Соломон бажав зробити,

that the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he appeared in Gabaon.	явився Соломону Господь удруге, як явився йому в Гаваоні.

And the Lord said to him, I have heard the voice of thy prayer, and thy supplication which thou madest before me: I have done for thee according to all thy prayer: I have hallowed this house which thou hast built to put my name there for ever, and mine eyes and my heart shall be there always.	І сказав йому Господь: Я почув молитву твою і прохання твоє, про що ти просив Мене; [зробив усе за молитвою твоєю]. Я освятив цей храм, який ти побудував, щоб перебувати імені Моєму там повік; і будуть очі Мої і серце Моє там в усі дні.

And if thou wilt walk before me as David thy father walked, in holiness of heart and uprightness, and so as to do according to all that I commanded him, and shalt keep my ordinances and my commandments:	І якщо ти будеш ходити перед лицем Моїм, як ходив батько твій Давид, у чистоті серця й у правоті, виконуючи все, що Я заповів тобі, і якщо будеш зберігати устави Мої і закони Мої,

then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom in Israel for ever, as I spoke to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to rule in Israel.	то Я поставлю царський престіл твій над Ізраїлем повік, як Я сказав батькові твоєму Давиду, говорячи: «не припиниться в тебе той, хто сидить на престолі Ізраїлевім».

But if ye or your children do in any wise revolt from me, and do not keep my commandments and my ordinances, which Moses set before you, and ye go and serve other gods, and worship them:	Якщо ж ви і сини ваші відступите від Мене і не будете дотримуватися заповідей Моїх і уставів Моїх, які Я дав вам, і підете і станете служити іншим богам і поклонятися їм,

then will I cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and this house which I have consecrated to my name I will cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a desolation and a by-word to all nations.	то Я знищу Ізраїля з лиця землі, яку Я дав йому, і храм, який Я освятив імені Моєму, відкину від лиця Мого, і буде Ізраїль притчею і посміховиськом у всіх народів.

And this house, which is high, shall be so that every one that passes by it shall be amazed, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Wherefore has the Lord done thus to this land, and to this house?	І про храм цей високий усякий, хто проходитиме мимо нього, вжахнеться і свисне, і скаже: «за що Господь зробив так із цією землею і з цим храмом?»

And men shall say, Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought out their fathers from Egypt, out of the house of bondage, and they attached themselves to strange gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore the Lord has brought this evil upon them.	І скажуть: «за те, що вони залишили Господа Бога свого, Який вивів батьків їхніх із землі Єгипетської, і прийняли інших богів, і поклонялися їм і служили їм, — за це навів на них Господь усю цю біду».

Then Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharao out of the city of David into his house which he built for himself in those days.

During twenty years in which Solomon was building the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the house of the king,	Після закінчення двадцяти років, за які Соломон побудував два будинки, — дім Господній і дім царський, —

Chiram king of Tyre helped Solomon with cedar wood, and fir wood, and with gold, and all that he wished for: then the king gave Chiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.	на що Хирам, цар Тирський, постачав Соломону дерева кедрові і дерева кипарисові і золото, за його бажанням, — цар Соломон дав Хираму двадцять міст у землі Галилейській.

So Chiram departed from Tyre, and went into Galilee to see the cities which Solomon gave to him; and they pleased him not. And he said,	І вийшов Хирам з Тира подивитися міста, які дав йому Соломон, і вони не сподобалися йому.

What are these cities which thou hast given me, brother? And he called them Boundary until this day.	І сказав він: що це за міста, які ти, брате мій, дав мені? І назвав їх землею Кавул, як називаються вони до сьогодні.

And Chiram brought to Solomon a hundred and twenty talents of gold,	І послав Хирам царю сто двадцять талантів золота.

even that for which king Solomon built a ship in Gasion Gaber near Ælath on the shore of the extremity of the sea in the land of Edom.	Цар Соломон також зробив корабель в Ецион-Гавері, що при Елафі, на березі Червоного моря, в землі Ідумейській.

And Chiram sent in the ship together with the servants of Solomon servants of his own, mariners to row, men acquainted with the sea.	І послав Хирам на кораблі своїх підданих корабельників, які знають море, з підданими Соломоновими;

And they came to Sophira, and took thence a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.	і вирушили вони в Офир, і взяли звідти золота чотириста двадцять талантів, і привезли цареві Соломону.
