Chapter 14
Главa д7i
1
1
And Joab the son of Saruia knew that the heart of the king was toward Abessalom.
2
2
And Joab sent to Thecoe, and took thence a cunning woman, and said to her, Mourn, I pray thee, and put on mourning apparel, and anoint thee not with oil, and thou shalt be as a woman mourning for one that is dead thus for many days. И# послA їwaвъ въ fекHю, и3 взS tтyду женY мyдру и3 речE къ нeй: сётуй нн7э, и3 њблецhсz въ ри6зы сётованіz, и3 не помaжисz є3лeемъ, и3 бyдеши ћкw женA сётующаz њ ўмeршемъ дни6 мнHги:
3
3
And thou shalt go to the king, and speak to him according to this word. And Joab put the words in her mouth.
4
4
So the woman of Thecoe went in to the king and fell upon her face to the earth, and did him obeisance, and said, Help, O king, help.
5
5
And the king said to her, What is the matter with thee? And she said, I am indeed a widow woman, and my husband is dead. И# речE є4й цaрь: чт0 ти є4сть; Nнa же речE: и3здaвна вдовA женA ѓзъ є4смь, и3 ќмре мyжъ м0й:
6
6
And moreover thy handmaid had two sons, and they fought together in the field, and there was no one to part them; and the one smote the other his brother, and slew him.
7
7
And behold the whole family rose up against thine handmaid, and they said, Give up the one that smote his brother, and we will put him to death for the life of his brother, whom he slew, and we will take away even your heir: so they will quench my coal that is left, so as not to leave my husband remnant or name on the face of the earth. и3 сE, востA всE nтeчество на рабY твою2 и3 рёша: дaй ўби1вшаго брaта своего2, и3 ўмертви1мъ є3го2 вмёстw души2 брaта, є3г0же ўби2, и3 погуби1мъ и3 наслёдника вaшего: и3 ўгасsтъ и4скру мою2 њстaвшуюсz, ћкw не њстaвити мyжу моемY њстaнка и3 и4мене на лицы2 земли2.
8
8
And the king said to the woman, Go in peace to thy house, and I will give commandment concerning thee.
9
9
And the woman of Thecoe said to the king, On me, my lord, O king, and on my father's house be the iniquity, and the king and his throne be guiltless. И# речE женA fекwjтzнынz ко царю2: на мнЁ беззак0ніе, г0споди м0й царю2, и3 на домY nтцA моегw2, цaрь же и3 прест0лъ є3гw2 непови1ненъ.
10
10
And the king said, Who was it that spoke to thee? thou shalt even bring him to me, and one shall not touch him any more. И# речE цaрь: кто2 глаг0лzй къ тебЁ, и3 приведeши є3го2 ко мнЁ, и3 не приложи1тъ ктомY коснyтисz є3мY;
11
11
And she said, Let now the king remember concerning his Lord God in that the avenger of blood is multiplied to destroy, and let them not take away my son. And he said, As the Lord lives, not a hair of thy son shall fall to the ground. И# речE женA: да воспомsнетъ нн7э цaрь гDа бGа своего2, внегдA ўмн0жити ќжика кр0ве, є4же растли1ти, и3 не и4мутъ погуби1ти сhна моего2. И# речE (цaрь): жи1въ гDь, ѓще и3 влaсъ падeтъ сhну твоемY съ главы2 на зeмлю.
12
12
And the woman said, Let now thy servant speak a word to my lord the king. And he said, Say on.
13
13
And the woman said, Why hast thou devised this thing against the people of God? or is this word out of the king's mouth as a transgression, so that the king should not bring back his banished? И# речE женA: почто2 помhслилъ є3си2 тaкw њ лю1дехъ б9іихъ; є3дA t ќстъ царeвыхъ сл0во сіE ѓки преступлeніе, є4же не возврати1ти царю2 tриновeннагw своегw2;
14
14
For we shall surely die, and be as water poured upon the earth, which shall not be gathered up, and God shall take the life, even as he devises to thrust forth from him his outcast.
15
15
And now whereas I came to speak this word to my lord the king, the reason is that the people will see me, and thy handmaid will say, Let one now speak to my lord the king, if peradventure the king will perform the request of his handmaid; и3 нн7э ћкw пріид0хъ глаг0лати ко царю2 господи1ну моемY глаг0лъ сeй, ћкw ўви1дzтъ мS лю1діе, и3 речeтъ рабA твоS: да глаг0летъ u5бо ко господи1ну моемY царю2, нeгли сотвори1тъ цaрь сл0во рабы2 своеS,
16
16
for the king will hear. Let him rescue his handmaid out of the hand of the man that seeks to cast out me and my son from the inheritance of God.
17
17
And the woman said, If now the word of my lord the king be gracious,—well: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king, to hear good and evil: and the Lord thy God shall be with thee. и3 речeтъ рабA твоS: да бyдетъ нн7э сл0во г0спода моегw2 царS на жeртву: ћкоже бо ѓгGлъ б9ій, тaкw госп0дь м0й цaрь, є4же слhшати благ0е и3 ѕл0е: и3 гDь бGъ тв0й бyдетъ съ тоб0ю.
18
18
And the king answered, and said to the woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the matter which I ask thee. And the woman said, Let my lord the king by all means speak. И# tвэщA цaрь и3 речE къ женЁ: никaкоже да ўтаи1ши t менє2 глаг0ла, њ нeмже ѓзъ вопрошy тz.
19
19
And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab in all this matter with thee? and the woman said to the king, As thy soul lives, my lord, O king, there is no turning to the right hand or to the left from all that my lord the king has spoken; for thy servant Joab himself charged me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid. И# речE цaрь: є3дA рукA їwaвлz њ всeмъ сeмъ съ тоб0ю; И# речE женA къ царю2: да живeтъ душA твоS, г0споди м0й царю2, ѓще є4сть њдеснyю и3ли2 њшyюю t всёхъ, ±же глаг0ла господи1нъ м0й цaрь, ћкw рaбъ тв0й їwaвъ т0й заповёда мнЁ, и3 т0й вложи2 во ўстA рабЁ твоeй вс‰ словесA сі‰:
20
20
In order that this form of speech might come about it was that thy servant Joab has framed this matter: and my lord is wise as is the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
21
21
And the king said to Joab, Behold now, I have done to thee according to this thy word: go, bring back the young man Abessalom.
22
22
And Joab fell on his face to the ground, and did obeisance, and blessed the king: and Joab said, To-day thy servant knows that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, for my lord the king has performed the request of his servant. И# речE їwaвъ: днeсь познA рaбъ тв0й, ћкw њбрэт0хъ благодaть пред8 nчи1ма твои1ма, г0споди м0й царю2, ћкw сотвори2 господи1нъ м0й цaрь сл0во рабA своегw2.
23
23
And Joab arose, and went to Gedsur, and brought Abessalom to Jerusalem.
24
24
And the king said, Let him return to his house, and not see my face. And Abessalom returned to his house, and saw not the king's face.
25
25
And there was not a man in Israel so very comely as Abessalom: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
26
26
And when he polled his head, (and it was at the beginning of every year that he polled it, because it grew heavy upon him,) even when he polled it, he weighed the hair of his head, two hundred shekels according to the royal shekel. и3 внегдA стрищи2 є3мY главY свою2, и3 бhсть t начaла днjй до днjй въ нsже стрижaшесz, ћкw тsжко бsше є3мY t ни1хъ, и3 стригyщьсz вёсzше власы2 главы2 своеS двёсти сjклей по сjклю цaрскому.
27
27
And there were born to Abessalom three sons and one daughter, and her name was Themar: she was a very beautiful woman, and she becomes the wife of Roboam son of Solomon, and she bears to him Abia. И# роди1шасz ґвессалHму три2 сhны и3 дщeрь є3ди1на, и3 и4мz є4й fамaрь: сіS бЁ женA добрA ѕэлw2 вз0ромъ, и3 бhсть женA ровоaму сhну соломHню, и3 роди2 є3мY ґвjю.
28
28
And Abessalom remained in Jerusalem two full years, and he saw not the king's face.
29
29
And Abessalom sent to Joab to bring him in to the king, and he would not come to him: and he sent to him the second time, and he would not come.
30
30
And Abessalom said to his servants, Behold, Joab's portion in the field is next to mine, and he has in it barley; go and set it on fire. And the servants of Abessalom set the field on fire: and the servants of Joab come to him with their clothes rent, and they said to him, The servants of Abessalom have set the field on fire.
31
31
And Joab arose, and came to Abessalom into the house, and said to him, Why have thy servants set my field on fire? И# востA їwaвъ и3 пріи1де ко ґвессалHму въ д0мъ, и3 речE къ немY: почто2 сожг0ша раби2 твои2 чaсть мою2 nгнeмъ;
32
32
And Abessalom said to Joab, Behold, I sent to thee, saying, Come hither, and I will send thee to the king, saying, Why did I come out of Gedsur? it would have been better for me to have remained there: and now, behold, I have not seen the face of the king; but if there is iniquity in me, then put me to death. И# речE ґвессалHмъ ко їwaву: сE, посылaхъ къ тебЁ, глаг0лz: и3ди2 сёмw, и3 послю1 тz ко царю2, глаг0лz: почто2 пріид0хъ и3з8 гедсyра; лyчше ми2 бЁ бhти є3щE тaмw: и3 нн7э сE, лицA царeва не ви1дэхъ: ѓще же є4сть во мнЁ непрaвда, то2 ўмертви1 мz.
33
33
And Joab went in to the king, and brought him word: and he called Abessalom, and he went in to the king, and did him obeisance, and fell upon his face to the ground, even in the presence of the king; and the king kissed Abessalom. И# призвA ґвессалHма, и3 пріи1де ко царю2, и3 поклони1сz є3мY, и3 падE лицeмъ свои1мъ на зeмлю пред8 лицeмъ царeвымъ, и3 њблобызA цaрь ґвессалHма.
