| And if any one should take a wife, and should dwell with her, then it shall come to pass if she should not have found favour before him, because he has found some unbecoming thing in her, that he shall write for her a bill of divorcement, and give it into her hands, and he shall send her away out of his house. | Якщо хто візьме дружину і стане її чоловіком, і вона не знайде благовоління в очах його, тому що він знаходить у ній що-небудь огидне, і напише їй розвідний лист, і дасть їй у руки, і відпустить її з дому свого, |

| And if she should go away and be married to another man; | і вона вийде з дому його, піде, і вийде за іншого чоловіка, |
|

|
| and the last husband should hate her, and write for her a bill of divorcement; and should give it into her hands, and send her away out of his house, and the last husband should die, who took her to himself for a wife; | але і цей останній чоловік зненавидить її і напише їй розвідний лист, і дасть їй у руки, і відпустить її з дому свого, або помре цей останній чоловік її, який взяв її собі за дружину, — |

| the former husband who sent her away shall not be able to return and take her to himself for a wife, after she has been defiled; because it is an abomination before the Lord thy God, and ye shall not defile the land, which the Lord thy God gives thee to inherit. | то не може перший її чоловік, який відпустив її, знову взяти її собі за дружину після того, як вона осквернена, тому що це є мерзота перед Господом [Богом твоїм], і не ганьби землі, яку Господь Бог твій дає тобі в наділ. |

| And if any one should have recently taken a wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall any thing be laid upon him; he shall be free in his house; for one year he shall cheer his wife whom he has taken. | Якщо хто взяв дружину недавно, то нехай не йде на війну, і нічого не слід покладати на нього; нехай він залишається вільний у домі своєму впродовж одного року і звеселяє дружину свою, яку взяв. |

| Thou shalt not take for a pledge the under millstone, nor the upper millstone; for he who does so takes life for a pledge. | Ніхто не повинен брати в заставу верхнього і нижнього жорна, бо такий бере у заставу душу. |
|

| And if a man should be caught stealing one of his brethren of the children of Israel, and having overcome him he should sell him, that thief shall die; so shalt thou remove that evil one from yourselves. | Якщо знайдуть кого, що він украв кого-небудь із братів своїх, із синів Ізраїлевих, і поневолив його, і продав його, то такого злодія слід віддати на смерть; і так знищи зло із середовища свого. |

| Take heed to thyself in regard of the plague of leprosy: thou shalt take great heed to do according to all the law, which the priests the Levites shall report to you; take heed to do, as I have charged you. | Дивись, у хворобі прокази ретельно дотримуй і виконуй весь [закон], якого навчать вас священики левити; ретельно виконуйте, що я повелів їм; |

| Remember all that the Lord thy God did to Mariam in the way, when ye were going out of Egypt. | пам’ятай, що Господь Бог твій зробив з Маріам на шляху, коли ви йшли з Єгипту. |

| If thy neighbour owe thee a debt, any debt whatsoever, thou shalt not go into his house to take his pledge: | Якщо ти ближньому твоєму даси що-небудь у борг, то не ходи до нього в дім, щоб взяти в нього заставу, |
|

|
| thou shalt stand without, and the man who is in thy debt shall bring the pledge out to thee. | постій на вулиці, а той, якому ти дав у борг, винесе тобі заставу свою на вулицю; |
|

|
| And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge. | якщо ж він буде людиною бідною, то ти не лягай спати, маючи [у себе] заставу його: |
|

|
| Thou shalt surely restore his pledge at sunset, and he shall sleep in his garment, and he shall bless thee; and it shall be mercy to thee before the Lord thy God. | поверни йому заставу до заходу сонця, щоб він ліг спати в одязі своєму і благословив тебе, — і поставиться тобі це в праведність перед Господом Богом твоїм. |

| Thou shalt not unjustly withhold the wages of the poor and needy of thy brethren, or of the strangers who are in thy cities. | Не кривдь наймита, бідного й убогого, із братів твоїх або з прибульців твоїх, які на землі твоїй, у оселях твоїх; |
|

|
| Thou shalt pay him his wages the same day, the sun shall not go down upon it, because he is poor and he trusts in it; and he shall cry against thee to the Lord, and it shall be sin in thee. | у той самий день віддай платню його, щоб сонце не зайшло раніше того, бо він бідний, і чекає на неї душа його; щоб він не заволав на тебе до Господа, і не було на тобі гріха. |

|
| The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, and the sons shall not be put to death for the fathers; every one shall be put to death for his own sin. | Батьки не повинні бути карані смертю за дітей, і діти не повинні бути карані смертю за батьків; кожен повинен бути караним смертю за свій злочин. |
|

|
| Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of the stranger and the fatherless, and widow; thou shalt not take the widow's garment for a pledge. | Не суди несправедливо прибульця, сироту [і вдову], і у вдови не бери одяг у заставу; |
|

|

|
| And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee from thence; therefore I charge thee to do this thing. | пам’ятай, що і ти був рабом у Єгипті, і Господь [Бог твій] звільнив тебе звідти: тому я і повеліваю тобі робити це. |

| And when thou shalt have reaped corn in thy field, and shalt have forgotten a sheaf in thy field, thou shalt not return to take it; it shall be for the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works of thy hands. | Коли будеш жати на полі твоєму, і забудеш сніп на полі, то не повертайся взяти його; нехай він залишається прибульцеві, [убогому,] сироті і вдові, щоб Господь Бог твій благословив тебе в усіх справах рук твоїх. |

| And if thou shouldest gather thine olives, thou shalt not return to collect the remainder; it shall be for the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, and thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing. | Коли будеш оббивати маслину твою, то не переглядай за собою гілок: нехай залишається прибульцеві, сироті і вдові. [І пам’ятай, що ти був рабом у землі Єгипетській: тому я і повеліваю тобі робити це.] |

| And whensoever thou shalt gather the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean what thou hast left; it shall be for the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow: | Коли будеш знімати плоди у винограднику твоєму, не збирай залишків за собою: нехай залишаються прибульцеві, сироті і вдові; |

| and thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing. | і пам’ятай, що ти був рабом у землі Єгипетській: тому я і повеліваю тобі робити це. |
