| Ye shall observe to do all the commands which I charge you to-day, that ye may live and be multiplied, and enter in and inherit the land, which the Lord your God sware to give to your fathers. | Усі заповіді, які я заповідаю вам сьогодні, намагайтеся виконувати, щоб ви були живими і розмножилися, і пішли і заволоділи [доброю] землею, яку з клятвою обіцяв Господь [Бог] батькам вашим. |

| And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee in the wilderness, that he might afflict thee, and try thee, and that the things in thine heart might be made manifest, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no. | І пам’ятай весь шлях, яким вів тебе Господь, Бог твій, по пустелі, ось уже сорок років, щоб смирити тебе, щоб випробувати тебе і дізнатися, що в серці твоєму, чи будеш зберігати заповіді Його, чи ні; |

| And he afflicted thee and straitened thee with hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thy fathers knew not; that he might teach thee that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God shall man live. | Він смиряв тебе, морив тебе голодом і годував тебе манною, якої не знав ти і не знали батьки твої, щоб показати тобі, що не єдиним хлібом живе людина, але всяким [словом], яке виходить з вуст Господа, живе людина; |

| Thy garments grew not old from off thee, thy shoes were not worn from off thee, thy feet were not painfully hardened, lo! these forty years. | одяг твій не старів на тобі, і нога твоя не пухла, ось уже сорок років. |
|

| And thou shalt know in thine heart, that as if any man should chasten his son, so the Lord thy God will chasten thee. | І знай у серці твоєму, що Господь, Бог твій, учить тебе, як людина учить сина свого. |
|

|
| And thou shalt keep the commands of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. | Отже, зберігай заповіді Господа, Бога твого, ходячи путями Його і бійся Його. |
|

|
| For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good and extensive land, where there are torrents of waters, and fountains of deep places issuing through the plains and through the mountains: | Бо Господь, Бог твій, веде тебе в землю добру, у землю, де потоки вод, джерела й озера виходять з долин і гір, |
|

|
| a land of wheat and barley, wherein are vines, figs, pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey; | у землю, [де] пшениця, ячмінь, виноградні лози, смоковниці і гранатові дерева, у землю, де оливкові дерева і мед, |
|

|
| a land on which thou shalt not eat thy bread with poverty, and thou shalt not want any thing upon it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of its mountains thou shalt dig brass. | у землю, у якій без убогости будеш їсти хліб твій і ні у чому не будеш мати нестачі, у землю, в якій камені — залізо, і з гір якої будеш висікати мідь. |

| And thou shalt eat and be filled, and shalt bless the Lord thy God on the good land, which he has given thee. | І коли будеш їсти і насичуватися, тоді благословляй Господа, Бога твого, за добру землю, яку Він дав тобі. |

| Take heed to thyself that thou forget not the Lord thy God, so as not to keep his commands, and his judgments, and ordinances, which I command thee this day: | Бережися, щоб ти не забув Господа, Бога твого, не дотримуючи заповідей Його, і законів Його, і постанов Його, які сьогодні заповідаю тобі. |

| lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt in them; | Коли будеш їсти і насичуватися, і побудуєш гарні доми і будеш жити [в них], |

| and thy oxen and thy sheep are multiplied to thee, and thy silver and thy gold are multiplied to thee, and all thy possessions are multiplied to thee, | і коли буде в тебе багато великої і дрібної худоби, і буде багато срібла і золота, і всього в тебе буде багато, — |

| thou shouldest be exalted in heart, and forget the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage: | то дивися, щоб не стало гордовитим серце твоє і не забув ти Господа, Бога твого, Який вивів тебе з землі Єгипетської, з дому рабства; |

| who brought thee through that great and terrible wilderness, where is the biting serpent, and scorpion, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee a fountain of water out of the flinty rock: | Який провів тебе по пустелі великій і страшній, де змії, василіски, скорпіони і місця сухі, на яких немає води; Який виточив для тебе [джерело] води зі скелі гранітної, |

| who fed thee with manna in the wilderness, which thou knewest not, and thy fathers knew not; that he might afflict thee, and thoroughly try thee, and do thee good in thy latter days. | насичував тебе в пустелі манною, якої [не знав ти і] не знали батьки твої, щоб смирити тебе і випробувати тебе, щоб з часом зробити тобі добро, |

| Lest thou shouldest say in thine heart, My strength, and the power of mine hand have wrought for me this great wealth. | і щоб ти не сказав у серці твоєму: «моя сила і міць руки моєї придбали мені багатство це», |

| But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, that he gives thee strength to get wealth; even that he may establish his covenant, which the Lord sware to thy fathers, as at this day. | але щоб пам’ятав Господа, Бога твого, бо Він дає тобі силу здобувати багатство, щоб виконати, як нині, завіт Свій, який Він клятвою утвердив батькам твоїм. |

| And it shall come to pass if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and shouldest go after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall surely perish. | Якщо ж ти забудеш Господа, Бога твого, і підеш услід богів інших, і будеш служити їм і поклонятися їм, то свідчу вам сьогодні [небом і землею], що ви загинете; |

| As also the other nations which the Lord God destroys before your face, so shall ye perish, because ye hearkened not to the voice of the Lord your God. | як народи, які Господь [Бог] знищує від лиця вашого, так загинете і ви за те, що не послухаєте голосу Господа, Бога вашого. |
