Chapter 31	Глава 31

1	1
And Moses finished speaking all these words to all the children of Israel;	І пішов Мойсей, і говорив слова ці всім [синам] Ізраїля,

and said to them, I am this day a hundred and twenty years old; I shall not be able any longer to come in or go out; and the Lord said to me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.	і сказав їм: тепер мені сто двадцять років, я не можу уже виходити і входити, і Господь сказав мені: «ти не перейдеш Йордан цей»;

The Lord thy God who goes before thee, he shall destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt inherit them: and it shall be Joshua that goes before thy face, as the Lord has spoken.	Господь Бог твій Сам піде перед тобою; Він знищить народи ці від імені твого, і ти оволодієш ними; Ісус піде перед тобою, як говорив Господь;

And the Lord thy God shall do to them as he did to Seon and Og the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond Jordan, and to their land, as he destroyed them.	і вчинить Господь з ними так само, як Він зробив із Сигоном і Огом, царями аморрейськими, [які були по цей бік Йордану,] і з землею їх, яких Він знищив;

And the Lord has delivered them to you; and ye shall do to them, as I charged you.	і видасть їх Господь вам, і ви зробите з ними за всіма заповідями, які заповів я вам;

Be courageous and strong, fear not, neither be cowardly, neither be afraid before them; for it is the Lord your God that advances with you in the midst of you, neither will he by any means forsake thee, nor desert thee.	будьте тверді і мужні, не бійтеся, [не жахайтеся] і не страшіться їх, бо Господь Бог твій Сам піде з тобою [і] не відступить від тебе і не залишить тебе.

And Moses called Joshua, and said to him before all Israel, Be courageous and strong; for thou shalt go in before this people into the land which the Lord sware to your fathers to give to them, and thou shalt give it to them for an inheritance.	І прикликав Мойсей Ісуса і перед очима всіх ізраїльтян сказав йому: будь твердим і мужнім, бо ти ввійдеш з народом цим у землю, яку Господь клявся батькам його дати йому, і ти розділиш її на наділи йому;

And the Lord that goes with thee shall not forsake thee nor abandon thee; fear not, neither be afraid.	Господь Сам піде перед тобою, Сам буде з тобою, не відступить від тебе і не залишить тебе, не бійся і не жахайся.

And Moses wrote the words of this law in a book, and gave it to the priests the sons of Levi who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to the elders of the sons of Israel.	І написав Мойсей закон цей, і віддав його священикам, синам Левіїним, які носять ковчег завіту Господнього, і всім старійшинам [синів] Ізраїлевих.

And Moses charged them in that day, saying, After seven years, in the time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,	І заповів їм Мойсей і сказав: після закінчення семи років, у рік відпущення, у свято кущів,

when all Israel come together to appear before the Lord your God, in the place which the Lord shall choose, ye shall read this law before all Israel in their ears,	коли весь Ізраїль прийде явитися перед лицем Господа Бога твого на місці, яке обере [Господь], читай цей закон перед усім Ізраїлем для слуху його;
12	12
having assembled the people, the men, and the women, and the children, and the stranger that is in your cities, that they may hear, and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God; and they shall hearken to do all the words of this law.	збери народ, чоловіків і дружин, і дітей, і прибульців твоїх, які будуть в оселях твоїх, щоб вони слухали й училися, і щоб боялися Господа Бога вашого, і намагалися виконувати всі слова закону цього;

And their sons who have not known shall hear, and shall learn to fear the Lord thy God all the days that they live upon the land, into which ye go over Jordan to inherit it.	і сини їхні, які не знають цього, почують і навчаться боятися Господа Бога вашого в усі дні, доки ви будете жити на землі, в яку ви переходите за Йордан, щоб оволодіти нею.

And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, the days of thy death are at hand; call Joshua, and stand ye by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and I will give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went to the tabernacle of testimony, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.	І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: ось, дні твої наблизилися до смерти; поклич Ісуса і станьте біля [входу] в скинію зібрання, і Я дам йому настанови. І прийшли Мойсей та Ісус, і стали біля [входу] в скинію зібрання.

And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony; and the pillar of the cloud stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.	І явився Господь у скинії в стовпі хмарному, і став стовп хмарний біля входу до скинії [зібрання].
16	16
And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people will arise and go a whoring after the strange gods of the land, into which they are entering: and they will forsake me, and break my covenant, which I made with them.	І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: ось, ти упокоїшся з батьками твоїми, і стане народ цей блудно ходити услід за чужими богами тієї землі, в яку він вступає, і залишить Мене, і порушить завіт Мій, який Я уклав з ним;

And I will be very angry with them in that day, and I will leave them and turn my face away from them, and they shall be devoured; and many evils and afflictions shall come upon them; and they shall say in that day, Because the Lord my God is not with me, these evils have come upon me.	і запалає гнів Мій на нього в той день, і Я залишу їх і сховаю лице Моє від них, і він знищений буде, і спостигнуть його багато бід і скорбот, і скаже він у той день: «чи не тому спостигли мене ці біди, що немає [Господа] Бога мого серед мене?»

And I will surely turn away my face from them in that day, because of all their evil doings which they have done, because they turned aside after strange gods.	і Я сховаю лице Моє [від нього] у той день за всі беззаконня його, які він зробить, навернувшись до інших богів.

And now write the words of this song, and teach it to the children of Israel, and ye shall put it into their mouth, that this song may witness for me among the children of Israel to their face.	Отже, напишіть собі [слова] пісні цієї, і навчи її синів Ізраїлевих, і вклади її у вуста їхні, щоб пісня ця була Мені свідченням на синів Ізраїлевих;

For I will bring them into the good land, which I sware to their fathers, to give to them a land flowing with milk and honey: and they shall eat and be filled and satisfy themselves; then will they turn aside after other gods, and serve them, and they will provoke me, and break my covenant.	тому що Я введу їх у землю [добру], як Я клявся батькам їх, де тече молоко і мед, і вони будуть їсти і насичуватися, і потовстішають, і навернуться до інших богів, і будуть служити їм, а Мене відкинуть і порушать завіт Мій, [який Я заповів їм];

And this song shall stand up to witness against them; for they shall not forget it out of their mouth, or out of the mouth of their seed; for I know their wickedness, what they are doing here this day, before I have brought them into the good land, which I sware to their fathers.	і коли прийде на них багато бід і скорбот, тоді пісня ця буде проти них свідченням, бо вона не вийде [з вуст їхніх і] з вуст нащадків їхніх. Я знаю думки їхні, які вони мають нині, раніше ніж Я ввів їх у [добру] землю, про яку Я клявся [батькам їхнім].

And Moses wrote this song in that day, and taught it to the children of Israel.	І написав Мойсей пісню цю в той день і навчив її синів Ізраїлевих.

And he charged Joshua, and said, Be courageous and strong, for thou shalt bring the sons of Israel into the land, which the Lord sware to them, and he shall be with thee.	І заповів Господь Ісусові, синові Навина, і сказав [йому]: будь твердим і мужнім, бо ти введеш синів Ізраїлевих у землю, про яку Я клявся їм, і Я буду з тобою.

And when Moses finished writing all the words of this law in a book, even to the end,	Коли Мойсей вписав у книгу всі слова закону цього до кінця,

then he charged the Levites who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,	тоді Мойсей повелів левитам, які носять ковчег завіту Господнього, сказавши:

Take the book of this law, and ye shall put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God; and it shall be there among you for a testimony.	візьміть цю книгу закону і покладіть її праворуч ковчега завіту Господа Бога вашого, і вона буде там свідченням проти тебе;

For I know thy provocation, and thy stiff neck; for yet during my life with you at this day, ye have been provoking in your conduct toward God: how shall ye not also be so after my death?	бо я знаю впертість твою і жорстокість твою: ось і тепер, коли я живу з вами нині, ви вперті перед Господом; чи не тим більше після смерти моєї?

Gather together to me the heads of your tribes, and your elders, and your judges, and your officers, that I may speak in their ears all these words; and I call both heaven and earth to witness against them.	зберіть до мене усіх старійшин колін ваших [і суддів ваших] і наглядачів ваших, і я скажу їм уголос слова ці і закличу у свідчення на них небо і землю;

For I know that after my death ye will utterly transgress, and turn aside out of the way which I have commanded you; and evils shall come upon you in the latter days, because ye will do evil before the Lord, to provoke him to anger by the works of your hands.	бо я знаю, що після смерти моєї ви розбеститеся й ухилитеся від путі, яку я заповів вам, і з часом прийдуть на вас біди за те, що ви будете робити зло перед очима Господа [Бога], дратуючи Його ділами рук своїх.

And Moses spoke all the words of this song even to the end, in the ears of the whole assembly.	І виголосив Мойсей уголос, щоб почуло все зібрання ізраїльтян слова пісні цієї до кінця:
