| Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. | благодать вам і мир від Бога Отця нашого і Господа Ісуса Христа. |

| Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ: | Благословенний Бог і Отець Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, Який благословив нас у Христі всяким духовним благословенням у небесах, |

|
| even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love: | бо Він обрав нас у Ньому раніше створення світу, щоб ми були святі й непорочні перед Hим у любові, |

| having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, | наперед призначивши усиновити нас Собі через Ісуса Христа, за благоволінням Своєї волі, |

| to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the Beloved: | на похвалу слави благодаті Своєї, якою Він обдарував нас в Улюбленому, |

| in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, | в Якому ми маємо відкуплення Кров’ю Його, прощення гріхів через багатство благодаті Його, |

| which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, | яку Він щедро дарував нам у всякій премудрості і розумінні, |

| making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him | відкривши нам таїну волі Своєї, за Своїм благоволінням, яке Він раніш поклав у Hьому, |
|

|
| unto a dispensation of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, I say, | в установлення повноти часів, щоб усе небесне і земне з’єднати під главою Христом. |

|
| in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will; | У Hьому ми і стали спадкоємцями, бувши для того наперед призначеними за визначенням Того, Хто все творить за радою волі Своєї, |

| to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ: | щоб бути нам, які раніш уповали на Христа, на похвалу слави Його. |

| in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, | У Hьому і ви, почувши слово істини, благовістя вашого спасіння, та увірувавши в Hього, були відзначені обіцяним Святим Духом, |

| who is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of God’s own possession, unto the praise of his glory. | Який є запорукою спадщини нашої для відкуплення надбання Його, на похвалу слави Його. |

|
| For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which ye show toward all the saints, | Тому і я, почувши про вашу віру в Христа Ісуса і про любов до всіх святих, |

|
| cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; | безперестанно дякую за вас Богові, згадуючи вас у молитвах моїх, |

|
| that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; | щоб Бог Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, Отець слави, дав вам Духа премудрості й одкровення для пізнання Його |

|
| having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, | і просвітив очі серця вашого, щоб ви зрозуміли, в чому полягає надія на Його покликання‚ і яке багатство славної спадщини Його для святих, |

| and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might | і яка безмірна велич могутности Його в нас, що вірують за діянням превеликої сили Його, |
|

|
| which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and he made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, | якою Він діяв у Христі, воскресивши Його з мертвих і посадивши праворуч Себе на небесах, |
|

|
| far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: | вище від усякого начальства‚ і влади, і сили, і панування, і всякого імені, названого не тільки в цьому віці, але і в майбутньому, |
|

|
| and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, | і все підкорив під ноги Йому, і поставив Його вище за все, главою Церкви, |
|

|
| which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. | яка є тіло Його, повнота Того, Хто наповнює все у всьому. |
