And you did he make alive, when ye were dead in trespasses and sins,	І вас, мертвих через злочини і гріхи ваші,

wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience;	в яких ви колись жили за звичаями світу цього, з волі князя піднебесного, духа, що діє тепер в синах противлення,

among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest—	між якими і ми всі жили колись за нашими плотськими похотями, виконуючи бажання плоті й помислів, та були за природою дітьми гніву, як і інші,

but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,	Бог, багатий милістю з великої Своєї любови, якою нас полюбив,

even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),	і нас, мертвих за злочини, оживотворив із Христом, — благодаттю ви спасені, —

and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus:	і воскресив із Hим, і посадив на небесах у Христі Ісусі,

that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:	щоб у майбутніх віках явити безмірне багатство благодаті Своєї в благості до нас у Христі Ісусі.

for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;	Бо благодаттю ви спасені через віру, і це не від вас, це — Божий дар:

not of works, that no man should glory.	не через діла, щоб ніхто не хвалився.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.	Бо ми — Його творіння, створені у Христі Ісусі на добрі діла, які Бог наперед приготував‚ щоб ми виконували.

Wherefore remember that ye, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;	Отже, пам’ятайте, що ви, колись язичники плоттю, яких називали необрізаними так звані обрізані плотським обрізанням, рукотворним,

that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.	що ви були в той час без Христа відчуженими від громади ізраїльської, чужі завітам обітниці, не мали надії і були безбожниками в світі,

But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.	а тепер у Христі ви, що колись були далекими, стали близькими Кров’ю Христовою.

For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,	Бо Він є мир наш, Який створив з обох одне і зруйнував перепону, яка стояла посередині,

having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace;	скасувавши ворожнечу плоттю Своєю, а закон заповідей вченням, щоб з двох створити в Собі Самому одну нову людину, вчинивши мир,

and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:	і в єдиному тілі примирити обох із Богом хрестом, убивши ворожнечу на ньому.

and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and to them that were nigh:	І, прийшовши, благовістив мир вам, далеким і близьким,
18	18
for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.	бо через Hього і ті й інші маємо доступ до Отця в одному Духові.
19	19
So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,	Отже, ви вже не чужі і не пришельці, а співгромадяни святим і свої Богові,

being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone;	утверджені на основі апостолів і пророків, маючи наріжним каменем Самого Ісуса Христа,

in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;	на Якому вся будівля, складаючись злагоджено, зростає в святий храм у Господі,

in whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.	на якому і ви будуєтесь Духом на оселю Божу.
