| In the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | У десятому році, у десятому місяці, у дванадцятий день місяця, було до мене слово Господнє: |

| Son of man, set thy face against Pharao king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against the whole of Egypt: | сину людський! оберни лице твоє до фараона, царя Єгипетського, і виречи пророцтво на нього і на весь Єгипет. |

| and say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against Pharao, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, that says, The rivers are mine, and I made them. | Говори і скажи: так говорить Господь Бог: ось, Я — на тебе, фараоне, царю Єгипетський, великий крокодиле, що, лежачи серед рік своїх, говориш: «моя ріка, і я створив її для себе». |

| And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy river to stick to thy sides, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy river: | Але Я вкладу гак у щелепи твої і до луски твоєї приліплю риб з рік твоїх, і витягну тебе з рік твоїх з усією рибою рік твоїх, що прилипла до луски твоєї; |

| and I will quickly cast down thee and all the fish of thy river: thou shalt fall on the face of the plain, and shalt by no means be gathered, and shalt not be brought together: I have given thee for food to the wild beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the sky. | і кину тебе у пустелі, тебе і всю рибу з рік твоїх, ти впадеш на відкрите поле, не приберуть і не підберуть тебе; віддам тебе на поживу звірам земним і птахам небесним. |

| And all the dwellers in Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because thou hast been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. | І пізнають усі мешканці Єгипту, що Я Господь; тому що вони дому Ізраїлевому були підпорою з тростини. |

| When they took hold of thee with their hand, thou didst break: and when every hand was clapped against them, and when they leaned on thee, thou wast utterly broken, and didst crush the loins of them all. | Коли вони вхопилися за тебе рукою, ти розщепився і поколов їм усе плече; і коли вони сперлися на тебе, ти зламався і поранив усі стегна їм. |

| Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast; | Тому так говорить Господь Бог: ось, Я наведу на тебе меч, і знищу у тебе людей і худобу. |

| and the land of Egypt shall be ruined and desert; and they shall know that I am the Lord; because thou sayest, The rivers are mine, and I made them. | І зробиться земля Єгипетська пустелею і степом; і пізнають, що Я Господь. Оскільки він говорить: «моя ріка, і я створив її»; |

| Therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against all thy rivers, and I will give up the land of Egypt to desolation, and the sword, and destruction, from Magdol and Syene even to the borders of the Ethiopians. | то ось, Я — на ріки твої, і зроблю землю Єгипетську пустелею з пустель від Мигдола до Сиєни, до самої межі Ефіопії. |

| No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited for forty years. | Не буде проходити по ній нога людська, і нога худоби не буде проходити по ній, і не будуть жити на ній сорок років. |

| And I will cause her land to be utterly destroyed in the midst of a land that is desolate, and her cities shall be desolate forty years in the midst of cities that are desolate: and I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and will utterly scatter them into the countries. | І зроблю землю Єгипетську пустелею серед земель спустошених; і міста її серед опустілих міст будуть порожніми сорок років, і розсію єгиптян серед народів, і розвію їх по землях. |

| Thus saith the Lord; After forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations among whom they have been scattered; | Бо так говорить Господь Бог: після закінчення сорока років Я зберу єгиптян з народів, між якими вони будуть розсіяні; |

| and I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, and will cause them to dwell in the land of Phathore, in the land whence they were taken; | і поверну полон Єгипту, і назад приведу їх у землю Пафрос, у землю походження їх, і там вони будуть царством слабким. |

|
| and it shall be a base kingdom beyond all other kingdoms; it shall not any more be exalted over the nations; and I will make them few in number, that they may not be great among the nations. | Воно буде слабкішим за інші царства, і не буде більш підноситися над народами; Я принижу їх, щоб вони не панували над народами. |

| And they shall no more be to the house of Israel a confidence bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they follow after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. | І не будуть надалі дому Ізраїлевому опорою, що нагадує беззаконня їх, коли вони зверталися до нього; і пізнають, що Я Господь Бог. |

| And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | У двадцять сьомому році, у першому місяці, у перший день місяця, було до мене слово Господнє: |

| Son of man, Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was bald, and every shoulder peeled; yet there was no reward to him or to his army serving against Tyre, nor for the service wherewith they served against it. | сину людський! Навуходоносор, цар Вавилонський, стомив своє військо великими роботами біля Тира; усі голови оплішивіли й усі плечі стерті; а ні йому, ні війську його немає винагороди від Тира за роботи, які він зробив проти нього. |

| Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will give to Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon the land of Egypt, and he shall take the plunder thereof, and seize the spoils thereof; and it shall be a reward for his army. | Тому так говорить Господь Бог: ось, Я Навуходоносору, царю Вавилонському, даю землю Єгипетську, щоб він обібрав багатство її і вчинив грабунок у ній, і пограбував награбоване нею, і це буде винагородою війську його. |

| In return for his service wherewith he served against Tyre, I have given him the land of Egypt; thus saith the Lord God: | У нагороду за справу, яку він зробив у ньому, Я віддаю йому землю Єгипетську, тому що вони робили це для Мене, — сказав Господь Бог. |

| In that day shall a horn spring forth for all the house of Israel, and I will give thee an open mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. | У той день піднесу ріг дому Ізраїлевому, і тобі відкрию вуста серед них, і пізнають, що Я Господь. |
