Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Also, thou, son of man, say,

І було до мене слово Господнє:
|

Thus saith the Lord; An end is come to the land of Israel, the end is come on the four corners of the land.
|
і ти, сину людський, [скажи]: так говорить Господь Бог; землі Ізраїлевій кінець, — кінець прийшов на чотири краї землі.
|

|
The end is come
|
Ось кінець тобі; і пошлю на тебе гнів Мій, і буду судити тебе за шляхами твоїми, і покладу на тебе всі мерзоти твої.
|
|

|

|
|
on thee, the inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day has drawn nigh, not with tumult, nor with pangs.
|
І не пощадить тебе око Моє, і не помилую, і воздам тобі за шляхами твоїми, і мерзоти твої з тобою будуть, і пізнаєте, що Я Господь.
|

|
Now I will pour out mine anger upon thee near at hand, and I will accomplish my wrath on thee: and I will judge thee for thy ways, and recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
|
Так говорить Господь Бог: біда єдина, ось, іде біда.
|
|

|
Mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy: for I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord that smite thee.
|
Кінець прийшов, прийшов кінець, встав на тебе; ось дійшла,
|
|

|
Now the end is come to thee, and I will send judgment upon thee: and I will take vengeance on thy ways, and will recompense all thine abominations upon thee.
|
дійшла напасть до тебе, жителю землі! надходить час, наближається день сум’яття, а не веселих вигуків на горах.
|
|

|
|
Mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy: for I will recompense thy way upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
|
Ось, незабаром виллю на тебе лють Мою і звершу над тобою гнів Мій, і буду судити тебе за шляхами твоїми, і покладу на тебе всі мерзоти твої.
|

|
For thus saith the Lord; Behold, the end is come.
|
І не пощадить тебе око Моє, і не помилую. За шляхами твоїми воздам тобі, і мерзоти твої з тобою будуть; і пізнаєте, що Я Господь каратель.
|
|

|
|
Behold, the day of the Lord! although the rod has blossomed,
|
Ось день! ось прийшла, настала напасть! жезл виріс, гордість розрослася.
|
|

|

|
|
pride has sprung up, and will break the staff of the wicked one, and that not with tumult, nor with haste.
|
Постає сила на жезл нечестя; нічого не залишиться від них, і від багатства їх, і від шуму їх, і від пишноти їх.
|
|

|

|
|
The time is come, behold the day: let not the buyer rejoice, and let not the seller mourn.
|
Прийшов час, настав день: хто купив, не радій, і хто продав, не плач; бо гнів над усією безліччю їх;
|
|
13
|
13
|
|
For the buyer shall never again return to the seller, neither shall a man cleave with the eye of hope to his life.
|
Бо хто продав, не повернеться до проданого, хоч би і залишилися вони у живих; бо пророче видіння про всю безліч їх не відміниться, і ніхто своїм беззаконням не укріпить свого життя.
|

|
Sound ye the trumpet, and pass sentence on all together.
|
Засурмлять у трубу, і все готується, але ніхто не йде на війну: бо гнів Мій над усією безліччю їх.
|
|

|

|
|
There shall be war with the sword without, and famine and pestilence within: he that is in the field shall die by the sword; and famine and pestilence shall destroy them that are in the city.
|
Поза домом меч, а у домі моровиця і голод. Хто у полі, той помре від меча; а хто у місті, того пожеруть голод і моровиця.
|

|
But they that escape of them shall be delivered, and shall be upon the mountains: and I will slay all the rest, every one for his iniquities.
|
А вцілілі з них утечуть і будуть на горах, як голуби долин; усі вони будуть стогнати, кожен за своє беззаконня.
|
|

|
|
All hands shall be completely weakened, and all thighs shall be defiled with moisture.
|
У всіх руки опустяться, й у всіх коліна затремтять, як вода.
|
|
18
|
18
|
|
And they shall gird themselves with sackcloth, and amazement shall cover them; and shame shall be upon them, even upon every face, and baldness upon every head.
|
Тоді вони опережуться веретищем, і обійме їх трепет і у всіх на лицях буде сором, і у всіх на головах пліш.
|
|

|
|
Their silver shall be cast forth in the streets, and their gold shall be despised: their souls shall not be satisfied, and their bellies shall not be filled: for it was the punishment of their iniquities.
|
Срібло своє вони викинуть на вулиці, і золото у них буде у зневазі. Срібло їх і золото їх не у змозі буде врятувати їх у день гніву Господа. Вони не наситять ними душ своїх і не наповнять утроб своїх; бо воно було приводом до беззаконня їх.

|
As for their choice ornaments, they employed them for pride, and they made of them images of their abominations: therefore have I made them uncleanness to them.
|
І у червоних убраннях своїх вони перетворювали його на гордість, і робили з нього зображення мерзотних своїх ідолів; за те і зроблю його нечистим для них;

|
And I will deliver them into the hands of strangers to make them a prey, and to the pests of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane them.
|
і віддам його у руки чужих у здобич і беззаконникам землі на розкрадання, і вони осквернять його.
|
|

|
|
And I will turn away my face from them, and they shall defile my charge, and shall go in to them unguardedly, and profane them.
|
І відверну від них лице Моє, і осквернять потаємне Моє; і прийдуть туди грабіжники, і осквернять його.
|
|

|

|
|
And they shall work uncleanness: because the land is full of strange nations, and the city is full of iniquity.
|
Зроби ланцюг, бо земля ця наповнена кривавими злодіяннями, і місто повне насильства.
|
|
24
|
24
|
|
And I will turn back the boasting of their strength; and their holy things shall be defiled.
|
Я приведу найлютіших з народів, і заволодіють домами їхніми. І покладу кінець пихатості сильних, і будуть осквернені святині їхні.
|
|
25
|
25
|
|
And though propitiation shall come, and one shall seek peace, yet there shall be none.
|
Йде пагуба; будуть шукати миру, і не знайдуть.
|
|

|

|
|
There shall be woe upon woe, and there shall be message upon message; and a vision shall be sought from a prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.
|
Біда піде за бідою і звістка за звісткою; і будуть просити у пророка видіння, і не стане вчення у священика і поради у старців.
|

|
The prince shall clothe himself with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be made feeble: I will do to them according to their ways, and according to their judgments will I punish them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
|
Цар буде ремствувати, і князь одягнеться у жах, і в народу землі будуть тремтіти руки. Вчиню з ними за шляхами їхніми, і за судами їхніми буду судити їх; і пізнають, що Я Господь.
|
