| И# пріи1де ровоaмъ въ сmхeмъ, занE въ сmхeмъ вeсь ї}ль сни1десz постaвити є3го2 царeмъ. | And Roboam came to Sychem: for all Israel came to Sychem to make him king. |

| И# бhсть є3гдA ўслhша їеровоaмъ сhнъ навaтовъ, и4же бЁ во є3гЂптэ, ћкw ўбэжE t лицA соломHна царS, и3 њбитA їеровоaмъ во є3гЂптэ, и3 возврати1сz їеровоaмъ t є3гЂпта. | And it came to pass when Jeroboam the son of Nabat heard it, (now he was in Egypt, forasmuch as he had fled thither from the face of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt,) that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt. |

| И# послaша и3 призвaша є3го2. И# пріи1де їеровоaмъ и3 всE собрaніе ї}лево ко царю2 ровоaму, глаг0люще: | And they sent and called him: and Jeroboam and all the congregation came to Roboam, saying, |

| nтeцъ тв0й њжесточи2 и4го нaше, ты2 же нн7э њслaби t раб0ты nтцA твоегw2 жeстокіz и3 t и4га є3гw2 тsжкагw, є4же возложи2 на нaсъ, и3 послyжимъ тебЁ. | Thy father made our yoke grievous: now then abate somewhat of thy father's grievous rule, and of his heavy yoke which he put upon us, and we will serve thee. |

| И# речE и5мъ: поиди1те дaже до тріeхъ днjй и3 пріиди1те ко мнЁ. И# tид0ша лю1діе. | And he said to them, Go away for three days, and then come to me. So the people departed. |

| И# собрA цaрь ровоaмъ старBйшины, и5же стоsху пред8 соломHнъ nтцeмъ є3гw2, є3гдA є3щE живsше, глаг0лz: как0въ вы2 даетE совётъ tвэщaти лю1демъ си6мъ; | And king Roboam assembled the elders that stood before his father Solomon in his life-time, saying, How do ye counsel me to return an answer to this people? |

| И# рёша є3мY: ѓще днeсь бyдеши во благ0е лю1демъ си6мъ, и3 благоугоди1ши, и3 речeши и5мъ словесA благ†z, то2 послyжатъ тебЁ во вс‰ дни6. | And they spoke to him, saying, If thou wouldest this day befriend this people, and be kind to them, and speak to them good words, then will they be thy servants for ever. |

| И# њстaви совётъ старёйшинъ, є3г0же совэщaша є3мY: и3 совётоваше со ю4ношами, и5же съ ни1мъ воспитaни бsху и3 стоsху пред8 ни1мъ, | But he forsook the advice of the old men, who took counsel with him, and he took counsel with the young men who had been brought up with him, who stood before him. |

| и3 речE къ ни6мъ: что2 вы2 собётуете, да tвэщaю лю1демъ си6мъ, и5же рёша мнЁ, глаг0люще: њблегчи2 и4го, є4же наложи2 на ны2 nтeцъ тв0й; | And he said to them, What do ye advise that I should answer this people, who spoke to me, saying, Ease somewhat of the yoke which thy father laid upon us? |

| И# tвэщaша є3мY џтроцы воспитaнніи съ ни1мъ, глаг0люще: тaкw речeши лю1демъ, и5хже рек0ша тебЁ, глаг0люще: nтeцъ тв0й њтzгчи2 и4го нaше, тh же њблегчи2 нaмъ: тaкw tвэщaй къ ни6мъ: мeншій пeрстъ м0й толстёе є4сть чрeслъ nтцA моегw2: | And the young men that had been brought up with him spoke to him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak to the people that spoke to thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, and do thou lighten somewhat of it from us; thus shalt thou say, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins. |

| nтeцъ м0й наложи2 вaмъ тsжкое и4го, ѓзъ же (тsгости) приложY на и4го вaше: nтeцъ м0й би1лъ вaсъ бичми2, ѓзъ же бyду би1ти вaсъ скорпі0нами. | And whereas my father chastised you with a heavy yoke, I will also add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, and I will chastise you with scorpions. |

| И# пріи1де їеровоaмъ и3 вси2 лю1діе къ ровоaму въ дeнь трeтій, ћкоже повелЁ и5мъ цaрь, глаг0лz: возврати1тесz ко мнЁ въ дeнь трeтій. | And Jeroboam and all the people came to Roboam on the third day, as the king had spoken, saying, Return to me on the third day. |

| И# tвэщA цaрь жeстокw, и3 њстaви цaрь ровоaмъ совётъ старёйшинъ, и3 речE къ ни6мъ по совёту ю4нwшъ, глаг0лz: | And the king answered harshly; and king Roboam forsook the counsel of the old men, |

| nтeцъ м0й њтzготи2 и4го вaше, ѓзъ же приложY къ немY: nтeцъ м0й би1лъ вaсъ бичми2, ѓзъ же би1ти бyду вы2 скорпі0нами. | and spoke to them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to it: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. |

| И# не послyша цaрь людjй, ћкw бЁ превращeніе t бGа, гlz: возстaви гDь сл0во своE, є4же гlа рук0ю ґхjи силwнjты њ їеровоaмэ сhнэ навaтовэ | And the king hearkened not to the people, for there was a change of their minds from God, saying, The Lord has confirmed his word, which he spoke by the hand of Achia the Selonite concerning Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and concerning all Israel; |

| и3 њ всeмъ ї}ли, занE не послyша цaрь и4хъ. И# tвэщaша лю1діе ко царю2, глаг0люще: кaz нaмъ чaсть въ давjдэ и3 наслёдіе въ сhнэ їессeевэ; возврати1сz въ жили6ща тво‰, ї}лю, нн7э смотри2 д0му твоегw2, давjде. И# и4де вeсь ї}ль въ жили6ща сво‰. | for the king did not hearken to them. And the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David, or inheritance in the son of Jessæ? to thy tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So all Israel went to their tents. |

| Мyжіе же ї}лєвы, и5же њбитaху во градёхъ їyдиныхъ, воцари1ша над8 соб0ю ровоaма. | But the men of Israel, even those who dwelt in the cities of Juda, remained and made Roboam king over them. |
|

| И# послA цaрь ровоaмъ къ ни6мъ ґдwнірaма бhвша над8 дaньми, и3 кaменіемъ поби1ша є3го2 сhнове ї}лєвы, и3 ќмре. И# ўслhша цaрь ровоaмъ, и3 потщaсz взhти на колесни1цу, и3 побэжE во їеrли1мъ. | And king Roboam sent to them Adoniram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, and he died. And king Roboam hasted to mount his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem. |

| И# tвeржесz ї}ль t д0му давjдова дaже до днE сегw2. | So Israel rebelled against the house of David until this day. |
