| И# ќспе ґвjа со nтцы6 свои1ми, и3 погреб0ша є3го2 во грaдэ давjдовэ. И# воцари1сz ѓса сhнъ є3гw2 вмёстw є3гw2 во дни6 же ѓсы почи2 землS їyдина лётъ дeсzть. | And he did that which was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God. |

| И# сотвори2 ѓса благ0е и3 прaвое пред8 гDемъ бGомъ свои1мъ: | And he removed the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and broke the pillars in pieces, and cut down the groves: |

| и3 tвeрже nлтари6 чуждhхъ и3 высHкаz, и3 сокруши2 јдwлы и3 посэчE дубр†вы: | and he told Juda to seek earnestly the Lord God of their fathers, and to perform the law and the commandments. |

| и3 повелЁ їyдэ, да взhщетъ гDа бGа nтє1цъ свои1хъ и3 да сотвори1тъ зак0нъ є3гw2 и3 зaпwвэди: | And he removed from all the cities of Juda the altars and the idols, and established in quietness |

| и3 и3звeрже и3з8 всёхъ градHвъ їyдиныхъ nлтари6 и3 јдwлы, и3 цaрствова въ ми1рэ. | fortified cities in the land of Juda; for the land was quiet, and he had no war in these years; for the Lord gave him rest. |

| И# создA грaды крBпки въ земли2 їyдинэ, занE въ пок0и бhсть землS, и3 не бЁ є3мY брaни въ лBта сі‰, ми1ръ во гDь дадE є3мY. | And he said to Juda, Let us fortify these cities, and make walls, and towers, and gates, and bars: we shall prevail over the land, for as we have sought out the Lord our God, he has sought out us, and has given us rest round about, and prospered us. |

| Речe же їyдэ: сози1ждемъ грaды сі‰, и3 сотвори1мъ стёны и3 столпы2, и3 вратA и3 верєи2, д0ндеже землeю госп0дствуемъ: занE ћкоже взыскaхомъ гDа бGа нaшего, взыскA и3 нaсъ, и3 воздадE нaмъ ми1ръ w4крестъ, и3 бlгопоспёшствова нaмъ. | And Asa had a force of armed men bearing shields and spears in the land of Juda, even three hundred thousand, and in the land of Benjamin two hundred and eighty thousand targeteers and archers: all these were mighty warriors. |

| И# бhсть си1ла ѓсэ nружен0сцєвъ носsщихъ щиты2 и3 к0піz въ земли2 їyдинэ три1ста тhсzщъ, въ земли1 же веніамjни щи1тникwвъ и3 стрэлцє1въ двёсти џсмьдесzтъ тhсzщъ: вси2 сjи в0ини си1льніи. | And Zare the Ethiopian went out against them, with a force of a million, and three hundred chariots; and came to Maresa. |

| И#зhде же проти1ву и4хъ зарaй є3fі0плzнинъ съ си1лою въ тhсzщы тhсzщей, и3 колесни1цъ три1ста, и3 пріи1де дaже до мари1са. | And Asa went out to meet him, and set the battle in array in the valley north of Maresa. |

| И# и3зhде ѓса проти1ву є3мY и3 ўстр0и брaнь въ дeбри на сёверъ мари1са. | And Asa cried to the Lord his God, and said, O Lord, it is not impossible with thee to save by many or by few: strengthen us, O Lord our God; for we trust in thee, and in thy name have we come against this great multitude. O Lord our God, let not man prevail against thee. |

| И# возопи2 ѓса ко гDу бGу своемY и3 речE: гDи, не и3знем0жетъ ў тебє2 сп7сaти во мн0гихъ и3 въ мaлыхъ, ўкрэпи2 нaсъ, гDи б9е нaшъ, ћкw на тS ўповaхомъ и3 њ и4мени твоeмъ и3зыд0хомъ на мн0жество мн0гое сіE: гDи б9е нaшъ, ты2 є3си2 бGъ, да не превозм0жетъ проти1ву тебє2 человёкъ. | And the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Juda; and the Ethiopians fled. |

| И# порази2 гDь є3fі0пы пред8 ѓсою и3 їyдою и3 бэжaша є3fі0пи: | And Asa and his people pursued them to Gedor; and the Ethiopians fell, so that they could not recover themselves; for they were crushed before the Lord, and before his host; and they took many spoils. |

| и3 погнA и5хъ ѓса и3 лю1діе є3гw2 дaже до гедHра: и3 пад0ша є3fі0пи, дaже не бhти въ ни1хъ њстaнку, ћкw сотрeни бhша пред8 гDемъ и3 пред8 си1лою є3гw2, и3 плэни1ша кwрhсти мнHги: | And they destroyed their towns round about Gedor; for a terror of the Lord was upon them: and they spoiled all their cities, for they had much spoil. |

| и3 и3зсэк0ша вє1си и4хъ w4крестъ гедHра, вели1къ бо стрaхъ гDень њб8sтъ и5хъ, и3 плэни1ша вс‰ грaды и4хъ, занE мнHги кwрhсти бhша въ ни1хъ: | Also they destroyed the tents of cattle, and the Alimazons, and took many sheep and camels, and returned to Jerusalem. |

| и3 кyщы скHтскіz и3 ґмаз0нwвъ и3зсэк0ша, и3 взsша скотA мн0жество и3 велблю1ды, и3 возврати1шасz во їеrли1мъ. |
