И# во nсмоенaдесzть лёто цaрства своегw2, є3гдA њчищeна бhсть землS и3 цeрковь гDнz, послA сафaна сhна є3селjева и3 ґмесjю начaлника грaда и3 їwaса сhна їwахaзова памzтопи1сца своего2, да ўтвердsтъ д0мъ гDа бGа своегw2. And in the eighteenth year of his reign, after having cleansed the land, and the house, he sent Saphan the son of Ezelias, and Maasa prefect of the city, and Juach son of Joachaz his recorder, to repair the house of the Lord his God.

15
And Chelcias answered and said to Saphan the scribe, I have found a book of the law in the house of the Lord. And Chelcias gave the book to Saphan.
16
16
A: And Saphan brought in the book to the king, and moreover gave an account to the king, saying, This is all the money given into the hand of thy servants that work.
17

18
18
And Saphan the scribe brought word to the king, saying, Chelcias the priest has given me a book. And Saphan read it before the king.
19
19
И# бhсть є3гдA ўслhша цaрь словесA зак0на, и3 растерзA ри6зы сво‰. And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the law, that he rent his garments.

21
21
и3ди1те и3 моли1тесz гDу за мS и3 за всsкаго њстaвшагосz во ї}ли и3 їyдэ, њ словесёхъ кни1ги, ћже њбрётена є4сть, вели1къ бо гнёвъ гDень разгорёсz на нaсъ, понeже не послyшаша nтцы2 нaши словeсъ гDнихъ, є4же твори1ти по всBмъ напи6саннымъ въ кни1зэ сeй. Go, enquire of the Lord for me, and for every one that is left in Israel and Juda, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the Lord which has been kindled amongst us, because our fathers have not hearkened to the words of the Lord, to do according to all the things written in this book.
22
22
И# и4де хелкjа, и3 и5мже повелЁ цaрь, ко nлдaнэ прор0чицэ, женЁ селли1ма сhна fекyева, сhна є3серjи ризохрани1телz, хранsщей зaпwвэди, ћже њбитaше во їеrли1мэ въ масaнэ, и3 глаг0лаша є4й по си6мъ. And Chelcias went, and the others whom the king told, to Olda the prophetess, the wife of Sellem son of Thecoe, son of Aras, who kept the commandments; and she dwelt in Jerusalem in the second quarter: and they spoke to her accordingly.
23
23
И# тA tвэщA и5мъ: сі‰ речE гDь бGъ ї}левъ: глаг0лите мyжу, и4же послA вaсъ ко мнЁ: сі‰ речE гDь: And she said to them, Thus has the Lord God of Israel said, Tell the man who sent you to me,
24
24
Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I bring evil upon this place, even all the words that are written in the book that was read before the king of Juda:
25
25
занE њстaвиша мS и3 кадsху богHмъ чужди6мъ, да прогнёваютъ мS во всёхъ дёлэхъ рyкъ свои1хъ: и3 разгорёсz ћрость моS на мёсто сіE и3 не ўгаси1тсz: because they have forsaken me, and burnt incense to strange gods, that they might provoke me by all the works of their hands; and my wrath is kindled against this place, and it shall not be quenched.
26
26
и3 ко царю2 їyдину, и4же послA вaсъ ко гDу помоли1тисz, тaкw глаг0лите є3мY: сі‰ речE гDь бGъ ї}левъ: словесA, ±же слhшалъ є3си2, And concerning the king of Juda, who sent you to seek the Lord,—thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, As for the words which thou hast heard,
27
27
и3 сокруши1сz сeрдце твоE, и3 смири1лсz є3си2 пред8 лицeмъ мои1мъ, є3гдA ўслhшалъ є3си2 словесA мо‰ на мёсто сіE и3 на њбитaющихъ въ нeмъ, и3 смири1лсz є3си2 предо мн0ю, и3 растерзaлъ є3си2 ри6зы тво‰, и3 плaкалъ є3си2 предо мн0ю, и3 ѓзъ ўслhшахъ, речE гDь: forasmuch as thy heart was ashamed, and thou wast humbled before me when thou heardest my words against this place, and against the inhabitants of it, and thou wast humbled before me, and didst rend thy garments, and didst weep before me; I also have heard, saith the Lord.
28
28
Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, and thine eyes shall not look upon all the evils which I am bringing upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of it. And they brought back word to the king.
29
29
И# послA цaрь, и3 собрA старBйшины ї{дины и3 їеrли6мли. And the king sent and gathered the elders of Juda and Jerusalem.
30
30
И# взhде цaрь въ д0мъ гDень и3 вси2 мyжіе ї{дины и3 живyщіи во їеrли1мэ, и3 свzщeнницы и3 леvjти, и3 вси2 лю1діе t мaла дaже до вели1ка: и3 читaше во ўшесA и4хъ вс‰ словесA кни1ги завёта њбрётенныz въ домY гDни. And the king went up to the house of the Lord, he and all Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that were found in the house of the Lord.
31
31
И# стA цaрь на столпЁ, и3 завэщA завётъ пред8 гDемъ ходи1ти пред8 гDемъ, храни1ти зaпwвэди є3гw2 и3 свидBніz є3гw2 и3 повелBніz є3гw2 всёмъ сeрдцемъ и3 всeю душeю, є4же твори1ти словесA завёта напи6саннаz въ кни1зэ сeй. And the king stood at a pillar, and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk before the Lord, to keep his commandments and testimonies, and his ordinances, with all his heart and with all his soul, so as to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.
32
32
And he caused all that were found in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand; and the inhabitants of Jerusalem made a covenant in the house of the Lord God of their fathers.
33
33
And Josias removed all the abominations out of the whole land which belonged to the children of Israel, and caused all that were found in Jerusalem and in Israel, to serve the Lord their God all his days: he departed not from following the Lord God of his fathers.
