| И#зhде же дjна дщи2 лjина, ю4же роди2 їaкwву, познaти дщє1ри њбитaтелей. | And Dina, the daughter of Lea, whom she bore to Jacob, went forth to observe the daughters of the inhabitants. |

| И# ви1дэ ю5 сmхeмъ сhнъ є3ммHровъ хоррeанинъ, кнsзь тоS земли2: и3 пои1мъ ю5, бhсть съ нeю и3 смири2 ю5: | And Sychem the son of Emmor the Evite, the ruler of the land, saw her, and took her and lay with her, and humbled her. |

| и3 внsтъ душeю дjнэ дщeри їaкwвли, и3 возлюби2 дэви1цу, и3 глаг0ла къ нeй по мhсли дэви1цы. | And he was attached to the soul of Dina the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and he spoke kindly to the damsel. |

| Речe же сmхeмъ ко є3ммHру nтцY своемY, глаг0лz: поими2 мнЁ nтрокови1цу сію2 въ женY. | Sychem spoke to Emmor his father, saying, Take for me this damsel to wife. |

| Їaкwвъ же слhша, ћкw њскверни2 сhнъ є3ммHровъ дjну дщeрь є3гw2: сhнове же є3гw2 бsху со скоты6 є3гw2 на п0ли: премолчa же їaкwвъ, д0ндеже пріити2 и5мъ. | And Jacob heard that the son of Emmor had defiled Dina his daughter (now his sons were with his cattle in the plain). And Jacob was silent until they came. |

| И#зhде же є3ммHръ nтeцъ сmхeмль ко їaкwву глаг0лати къ немY. | And Emmor the father of Sychem went forth to Jacob, to speak to him. |

| Сhнове же ї†кwвли пріид0ша съ п0лz: є3гдa же ўслhшаша, смути1шасz мyжіе, и3 жaлостно и5мъ бhсть ѕэлw2, ћкw не лёпw сотвори2 во ї}ли, бhвъ со дщeрію їaкwвлею: и3 не бyдетъ си1це. | And the sons of Jacob came from the plain; and when they heard, the men were deeply pained, and it was very grievous to them, because the man wrought folly in Israel, having lain with the daughter of Jacob, and so it must not be. |

| И# речE и5мъ є3ммHръ, глаг0лz: сmхeмъ сhнъ м0й и3збрA душeю дщeрь вaшу: дади1те u5бо ю5 въ женY є3мY: | And Emmor spoke to them, saying, Sychem my son has chosen in his heart your daughter; give her therefore to him for a wife, |

| и3 сосвaтайтесz съ нaми: дщє1ри вaшz дади1те нaмъ, и3 дщє1ри нaшz поими1те сыновHмъ свои6мъ, | and intermarry with us. Give us your daughters, and take our daughters for your sons. |

| и3 ў нaсъ насели1тесz: и3 сE, землS прострaнна пред8 вaми: насели1тесz и3 кyплю дёйте на нeй, и3 притzжи1те на нeй. | And dwell in the midst of us; and, behold, the land is spacious before you, dwell in it, and trade, and get possessions in it. |

| Речe же сmхeмъ ко nтцY є3S и3 ко брaтіzмъ є3S: да њбрsщу благодaть пред8 вaми, и3 є4же ѓще речeте, дади1мъ: | And Sychem said to her father and to her brothers, I would find grace before you, and we will give whatever ye shall name. |

| ўмн0жите вёно ѕэлw2, и3 дaмъ, ћкоже речeте ми2: и3 дaсте ми2 nтрокови1цу сію2 въ женY. | Multiply your demand of dowry very much, and I will give accordingly as ye shall say to me, only ye shall give me this damsel for a wife. |

| Tвэщaша же сhнове ї†кwвли сmхeму и3 є3ммHру nтцY є3гw2 съ лeстію, и3 глаг0лаша къ ни6мъ, ћкw њскверни1ша дjну сестрY и4хъ. | And the sons of Jacob answered to Sychem and Emmor his father craftily, and spoke to them, because they had defiled Dina their sister. |

| И# рек0ста и5мъ сmмеHнъ и3 леvjй, брaтіz д‡нины (сhнове лjи): не возм0жемъ сотвори1ти глаг0ла сегw2, дaти сестрY нaшу человёку, и4же и4мать крaйнюю пл0ть неwбрёзанну: є4сть бо ўкори1зна нaмъ: | And Symeon and Levi, the brothers of Dina, said to them, We shall not be able to do this thing, to give our sister to a man who is uncircumcised, for it is a reproach to us. |

| т0кмw въ сeмъ ўпод0бимсz вaмъ и3 всели1мсz ў вaсъ, ѓще бyдете ћкоже мы2 и3 вы2, є3гдA њбрёжете вeсь мyжескъ п0лъ: | Only on these terms will we conform to you, and dwell among you, if ye also will be as we are, in that every male of you be circumcised. |

| и3 дади1мъ дщє1ри нaшz вaмъ, и3 t дщeрей вaшихъ п0ймемъ себЁ жєны2 и3 всели1мсz ў вaсъ, и3 бyдемъ ћкw є3ди1нъ р0дъ: | And we will give our daughters to you, and we will take of your daughters for wives to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will be as one race. |

| ѓще же не послyшаете нaсъ, є4же њбрёзатисz, пои1мше дщeрь нaшу tи1демъ. | But if ye will not hearken to us to be circumcised, we will take our daughter and depart. |
|

| И# ўгHдна бhша словесA пред8 є3ммHромъ и3 пред8 сmхeмомъ сhномъ є3ммHровымъ: | And the words pleased Emmor, and Sychem the son of Emmor. |

| и3 не премeдли ю4ноша сотвори1ти глаг0лъ сeй: любsше бо дщeрь їaкwвлю. Сeй же бsше слaвнэйшій всёхъ, и5же въ домY nтцA є3гw2. | And the young man delayed not to do this thing, for he was much attached to Jacob's daughter, and he was the most honourable of all in his father's house. |

| Пріи1де же є3ммHръ и3 сmхeмъ сhнъ є3гw2 пред8 вратA грaда своегw2 и3 глаг0ласта къ мужeмъ грaда своегw2, рекyще: | And Emmor and Sychem his son came to the gate of their city, and spoke to the men of their city, saying, |

| человёцы сjи ми1рни сyть, съ нaми да населsтсz на земли2 и3 да кyплю дёютъ на нeй: землs же сE прострaнна пред8 ни1ми: дщє1ри и4хъ да п0ймемъ себЁ въ жєны2, и3 дщє1ри нaшz дади1мъ и5мъ: | These men are peaceable, let them dwell with us upon the land, and let them trade in it, and behold the land is extensive before them; we will take their daughters to us for wives, and we will give them our daughters. |

| въ сeмъ т0чію ўпод0бzтсz нaмъ человёцы, є4же жи1ти съ нaми, ћкw бhти лю1демъ є3ди6нэмъ: внегдA њбрёзати нaмъ вeсь мyжескъ п0лъ, ћкоже и3 тjи њбрёзани сyть: | Only on these terms will the men conform to us to dwell with us so as to be one people, if every male of us be circumcised, as they also are circumcised. |

| и3 ск0ти и4хъ и3 четверонHгаz, и3 и3мBніz и4хъ не н†ша ли бyдутъ; т0чію въ сeмъ ўпод0бимсz и5мъ, и3 вселsтсz съ нaми. | And shall not their cattle and their herds, and their possessions, be ours? only in this let us conform to them, and they will dwell with us. |

| И# послyшаша є3ммHра и3 сmхeма сhна є3гw2 вси2 и3сходsщіи и3з8 врaтъ грaда своегw2 и3 њбрёзаша пл0ть крaйнюю свою2, всsкъ мyжескъ п0лъ. | And all that went in at the gate of their city hearkened to Emmor and Sychem his son, and they were circumcised in the flesh of their foreskin every male. |

| Бhсть же въ трeтій дeнь, є3гдA бsху въ болёзни, взsша двA сы6на ї†кwвлz сmмеHнъ и3 леvjй, брaтіz д‡нины, кjйждо св0й мeчь, и3 внид0ша во грaдъ без8wпaснw и3 и3зсэк0ша вeсь мyжескъ п0лъ: | And it came to pass on the third day, when they were in pain, the two sons of Jacob, Symeon and Levi, Dina's brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city securely, and slew every male. |

| є3ммHра же и3 сmхeма сhна є3гw2 ўсёкнуша џстріемъ мечA, и3 взsша дjну t д0му сmхeмлz и3 и3зыд0ша. | And they slew Emmor and Sychem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dina out of the house of Sychem, and went forth. |

| Сhнове же ї†кwвли внид0ша къ побіє1ннымъ и3 разгрaбиша грaдъ, въ нeмже њскверни1ша дjну сестрY и4хъ: | But the sons of Jacob came upon the wounded, and ravaged the city wherein they had defiled Dina their sister. |

| и3 џвцы и4хъ и3 гов‰да и4хъ и3 nслы2 и4хъ, и3 є3ли6ка бsху во грaдэ, и3 є3ли6ка бsху на п0ли, взsша: | And their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses they took, and all things whatsoever were in the city, and whatsoever were in the plain. |

| и3 вс‰ ч†да и4хъ и3 вс‰ сосyды и4хъ и3 жєны2 и4хъ плэни1ша: и3 разгрaбиша, є3ли6ка бsху во грaдэ, и3 є3ли6ка бsху въ домёхъ. | And they took captive all the persons of them, and all their store, and their wives, and plundered both whatever things there were in the city, and whatever things there were in the houses. |

| Речe же їaкwвъ къ сmмеHну и3 леvjи: ненави1стна мS сотвори1сте, ћкw ѕлY мнЁ бhти всBмъ живyщымъ на земли2, въ хананeахъ и3 ферезeахъ, ѓзъ же мaлъ є4смь числ0мъ: и3 собрaвшесz на мS и3зсэкyтъ мS, и3 и3стреблeнъ бyду ѓзъ и3 д0мъ м0й. | And Jacob said to Symeon and Levi, Ye have made me hateful so that I should be evil to all the inhabitants of the land, both among the Chananites and the Pherezites, and I am few in number; they will gather themselves against me and cut me in pieces, and I shall be utterly destroyed, and my house. |

| Nни1 же рек0ша: ѓки блудни1цу ли воз8имёютъ сестрY нaшу; | And they said, Nay, but shall they treat our sister as an harlot? |
