| Бhсть же въ то2 врeмz, tи1де їyда t брaтіи своеS и3 пріи1де къ человёку нёкоему nдолламjтину, є3мyже и4мz їрaсъ: | And it came to pass at that time that Judas went down from his brethren, and came as far as to a certain man of Odollam, whose name was Iras. |

| и3 ви1дэ тaмw їyда дщeрь человёка хананeйска, є4йже и4мz саvA: и3 поsтъ ю5, и3 вни1де къ нeй: | And Judas saw there the daughter of a Chananitish man, whose name was Sava; and he took her, and went in to her. |

| и3 зачeнши роди2 сhна, и3 наречE и4мz є3мY и4ръ: | And she conceived and bore a son, and called his name, Er. |

| и3 зачeнши є3щE роди2 сhна и3 наречE и4мz є3мY ґvнaнъ: | And she conceived and bore a son again; and called his name, Aunan. |

| и3 приложи1вши роди2 сhна (трeтіzго) и3 наречE и4мz силHмъ: сіs же бЁ въ хaсвэ, є3гдA роди2 си1хъ. | And she again bore a son; and called his name, Selom: and she was in Chasbi when she bore them. |

| И# поS їyда женY и4ру пeрвенцу своемY, є4йже и4мz fамaрь. | And Judas took a wife for Er his first-born, whose name was Thamar. |
|

| Бhсть же и4ръ пeрвенецъ їyдинъ ѕ0лъ пред8 гDемъ: и3 ўби2 є3го2 бGъ. | And Er, the first-born of Judas, was wicked before the Lord; and God killed him. |
|

| Речe же їyда ґvнaну: вни1ди къ женЁ брaта твоегw2 и3 совокупи1сz съ нeю, и3 возстaви сёмz брaту твоемY. | And Judas said to Aunan, Go in to thy brother's wife, and marry her as her brother-in-law, and raise up seed to thy brother. |

| Познaвъ же ґvнaнъ, ћкw не є3мY бyдетъ сёмz, бhсть є3гдA вхождaше къ женЁ брaта своегw2, проливaше (сёмz) на зeмлю, є4же не дaти сёмене брaту своемY: | And Aunan, knowing that the seed should not be his—it came to pass when he went in to his brother's wife, that he spilled it upon the ground, so that he should not give seed to his brother's wife. |

| ѕл0 же kви1сz пред8 бGомъ, ћкw сотвори2 сіE: и3 ўмертви2 и3 сего2. | And his doing this appeared evil before God; and he slew him also. |

| Речe же їyда fамaри, невёстцэ своeй (по смeрти двY сынHвъ свои1хъ): сэди2 вдов0ю въ домY nтцA твоегw2, д0ндеже вели1къ бyдетъ силHмъ, сhнъ м0й. Речe бо (во ўмЁ си2): да не когдA ќмретъ и3 сeй, ћкоже и3 брaтіz є3гw2. Tшeдши же fамaрь, сэдsше въ домY nтцA своегw2. | And Judas said to Thamar, his daughter-in-law, Sit thou a widow in the house of thy father-in-law, until Selom my son be grown; for he said, Lest he also die as his brethren; and Thamar departed, and sat in the house of her father. |

| Ўмн0жишасz же днjе, и3 ќмре саvA, женA їyдина. И# ўтёшивсz їyда, взhде къ стригyщымъ џвцы є3гw2 сaмъ, и3 їрaсъ пaстырь є3гw2 nдолламjтинъ, во faмну. | And the days were fulfilled, and Sava the wife of Judas died; and Judas, being comforted, went to them that sheared his sheep, himself and Iras his shepherd the Odollamite, to Thamna. |

| И# возвэсти1ша fамaри невёстцэ є3гw2, глаг0люще: сE, свeкоръ тв0й восх0дитъ во faмну стрищи2 џвцы сво‰. | And it was told Thamar his daughter-in-law, saying, Behold, thy father-in-law goeth up to Thamna, to shear his sheep. |

| Nнa же свeргши ри6зы вдовствA съ себє2, њблечeсz въ ри1зу лётнюю и3 ўкраси1сz, и3 сёде пред8 враты2 є3н†ни, ±же сyть на пути2 faмны: вёдzше бо, ћкw вели1къ бhсть силHмъ: сeй же не дадE є3S є3мY въ женY. | And having taken off the garments of her widowhood from her, she put on a veil, and ornamented her face, and sat by the gates of Ænan, which is in the way to Thamna, for she saw that Selom was grown; but he gave her not to him for a wife. |

| И# ви1дэвъ ю5 їyда, возмнЁ ю5 блудни1цу бhти: покрh бо лицE своE, и3 не познA є3S. | And when Judas saw her, he thought her to be a harlot; for she covered her face, and he knew her not. |
|

| Ўклони1сz же къ нeй путeмъ и3 речE є4й: попусти1 ми вни1ти къ себЁ. Не познa бо, ћкw невёстка є3мY є4сть. Nнa же речE: чт0 ми дaси, ѓще вни1деши ко мнЁ; | And he went out of his way to her, and said to her, Let me come in to thee; for he knew not that she was his daughter-in-law; and she said, What wilt thou give me if thou shouldest come in to me? |

| Џнъ же речE: ѓзъ тебЁ послю2 к0злище к0зъ t nвeцъ мои1хъ. Nнa же речE: ѓще дaси ми2 зал0гъ, д0ндеже при1шлеши. | And he said, I will send thee a kid of the goats from my flock; and she said, Well, if thou wilt give me an earnest, until thou send it. |

| Џнъ же речE: кjй зал0гъ тебЁ дaмъ; Nнa же речE: пeрстень тв0й и3 гри1вну, и3 жeзлъ и4же въ руцЁ твоeй. И# дадE є4й, и3 вни1де къ нeй, и3 зачA во ўтр0бэ t негw2. | And he said, What is the earnest that I shall give thee? and she said, Thy ring, and thy bracelet, and the staff in thy hand; and he gave them to her, and went in to her, and she conceived by him. |

| И# востaвши tи1де, и3 свeрже ри1зу лётнюю съ себє2 и3 њблечeсz въ ри6зы вдовствA своегw2. | And she arose and departed, and took her veil from off her, and put on the garments of her widowhood. |

| Послa же їyда к0злище t к0зъ рук0ю пaстырz своегw2 nдолламjтина взsти зал0гъ t жены2, и3 не њбрёте є3S. | And Judas sent the kid of the goats by the hand of his shepherd the Odollamite, to receive the pledge from the woman; and he found her not. |

| Вопроси1 же мужeй мёста тогw2 и3 речE и5мъ: гдЁ є4сть блудни1ца бhвшаz во є3нaнэ на распyтіи; И# рёша: не бЁ здЁ блудни1ца. | And he asked the men of the place, Where is the harlot who was in Ænan by the way-side? and they said, There was no harlot here. |

| И# возврати1сz ко їyдэ и3 речE: не њбрэт0хъ: и3 человёцы мёста тогw2 глаг0лютъ: нёсть здЁ блудни1цы. | And he returned to Judas, and said, I have not found her; and the men of the place say, There is no harlot here. |
|

| Речe же їyда: да и4мать т†: но да не когдA посмэю1тсz нaмъ: ѓзъ ќбw послaхъ к0злище сіE, тh же не њбрёлъ є3си2. | And Judas said, Let her have them, but let us not be ridiculed; I sent this kid, but thou hast not found her. |

| Бhсть же по трeхъ мцcэхъ, повёдаша їyдэ, глаг0люще: соблуди2 fамaрь невёстка твоS, и3 сE, во ўтр0бэ и4мать t блудA. Речe же їyда: и3зведи1те ю5, и3 да сожгyтъ ю5. | And it came to pass after three months, that it was told Judas, saying, Thamar thy daughter-in-law has grievously played the harlot, and behold she is with child by whoredom; and Judas said, Bring her out, and let her be burnt. |

| Nнa же вед0ма послA къ свeкру своемY, глаг0лющи: t человёка, є3гHже сі‰ сyть, ѓзъ во ўтр0бэ и4мамъ. И# речE: познaй, чjй пeрстень и3 гри1вна и3 жeзлъ сeй. | And as they were bringing her, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, I am with child by the man whose these things are; and she said, See whose is this ring and bracelet and staff. |

| Познa же їyда и3 речE: њправдaсz fамaрь пaче менє2, ћкw не дaхъ є3S силHму сhну моемY. И# не приложи2 ктомY познaти ю5. | And Judas knew them, and said, Thamar is cleared rather than I, forasmuch as I gave her not to Selom my son: and he knew her not again. |

| Бhсть же є3гдA раждaше, и3 бёста близнsта во ўтр0бэ є3S. | And it came to pass when she was in labour, that she also had twins in her womb. |

| Бhсть же въ рождeніи є3S, є3ди1нъ произнесE рyку: взeмши же бaба навzзA на рyку є3гw2 чeрвлень, глаг0лющи: сeй и3зhдетъ пeрвый. | And it came to pass as she was bringing forth, one thrust forth his hand, and the midwife having taken hold of it, bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This one shall come out first. |

| Е#гдa же вовлечE рyку, и3 ѓбіе и3зhде брaтъ є3гw2. Nнa же речE: что2 пресэчeсz тебє2 рaди преграждeніе; И# прозвA и4мz є3мY фарeсъ. | And when he drew back his hand, then immediately came forth his brother; and she said, Why has the barrier been cut through because of thee? and she called his name, Phares. |

| И# посeмъ и3зhде брaтъ є3гw2, є3мyже бЁ на руцЁ є3гw2 чeрвлень: и3 прозвA и4мz є3мY зaра. | And after this came forth his brother, on whose hand was the scarlet thread; and she called his name, Zara. |
