And it came to pass on the third day, when she had ceased praying, that she put off her mean dress, and put on her glorious apparel.	И# бhсть по тріeхъ днeхъ, є3гдA престA моли1тисz, совлечeсz и3з8 ри1зъ приск0рбныхъ и3 њблечeсz въ ри6зы слaвы своеS: и3 бhсть доброзрaчна, призывaющи всеви1дца бGа и3 сп7си1телz, и3 взS двЁ рабы6ни съ соб0ю, и3 њ є3ди1ну ќбw њпирaшесz ѓки слaдостьми њби1лующи, другaz же послёдоваше, да њблегчaетъ ри6зы є3S: и3 сіS червленёющисz доброт0ю красоты2 своеS, и3 лицE є3S њсклаблsющеесz ѓки прелюби1вэйше, сeрдце же є3S стенsше t стрaха. И# прошeдши вс‰ двє1ри, стA пред8 царeмъ. Џнъ же сэдsше на прест0лэ цaрства своегw2, њболчeнъ во всE њдэsніе слaвы своеS, вeсь во злaтэ и3 кaменіихъ многоцвёныхъ, и3 бsше стрaшеъ ѕэлw2: и3 возвeдъ лицE своE nгневи1дно слaвою, ѕёлною ћростію воззрЁ. И# падE цари1ца, и3 и3змэни1сz лицE є3S со њслаблeнмемъ, и3 преклони1сz на главY рабhни пред8идyщіz. И# премэни2 бGъ дyхъ царeвъ на кр0тость, и3 потщaвсz сни1де со прест0ла своегw2 и3 воспріsтъ ю5 во њв8‰тіz сво‰, д0ндеже пріи1де въ себE, и3 ўтёши ю5 глагHлы ми1рными и3 речE є4й: чт0 ти є4сть, є3сfи1ре; ѓзъ є4смь брaтъ тв0й, дерзaй, не ўмреши: ћкw џбщее повелёніе нaше є4сть, приступи2.

And being splendidly arrayed, and having called upon God the Overseer and Preserver of all things, she took her two maids, and she leaned upon one, as a delicate female, and the other followed bearing her train.

And she was blooming in the perfection of her beauty; and her face was cheerful, as it were benevolent, but her heart was straitened for fear.

And having passed through all the doors, she stood before the king: and he was sitting upon his royal throne, and he had put on all his glorious apparel, covered all over with gold and precious stones, and was very terrible.

And having raised his face resplendent with glory, he looked with intense anger: and the queen fell, and changed her colour as she fainted; and she bowed herself upon the head of the maid that went before her.

But God changed the spirit of the king to gentleness, and in intense feeling he sprang from off his throne, and took her into his arms, until she recovered: and he comforted her with peaceable words, and said to her,

What is the matter, Esther? I am thy brother; be of good cheer, thou shalt not die, for our command is openly declared to thee, Draw nigh.

And having raised the golden sceptre he laid it upon her neck, and embraced her, and said, Speak to me.	И# взeмъ златhй жeзлъ (цaрь) возложи2 на вhю є3S и3 њблобызA ю5 и3 речE: глаг0ли ми2. И# речE є3мY: ви1дэхъ тS, господи1не, ћкw ѓгGла бжіz, и3 смтeсz сeрдце моE t стрaха слaвы твоеS, ћкw ди1венъ є3си2, господи1не, и3 лицE твоE благодaтей и3сп0лнено. Бесёдующи же nнA къ немY, падE t њслаблeніz. Цaрь же смzтeсz, и3 вси2 раби2 є3гw2 ўтэшaху є3S.

And she said to him, I saw thee, my lord, as an angel of God, and my heart was troubled for fear of thy glory; for thou, my lord, art to be wondered at, and thy face is full of grace.

And while she was speaking, she fainted and fell. Then the king was troubled, and all his servants comforted her.

And the king said, What wilt thou, Esther? and what is thy request? ask even to the half of my kingdom, and it shall be thine.	И# речE є4й цaрь: что2 х0щешн, є3сfи1ре; и3 что2 прошeніе твоE; бyдетъ ти2 дaже и3 до полуцaрства моегw2.

And Esther said, To-day is my great day: if then it seem good to the king, let both him and Aman come to the feast which I will prepare this day.	И# речE є3сfи1рь: дeнь моегw2 прaзднованіz днeсь є4сть: ѓще u5бо ўг0дно є4сть царeви, да пріи1детъ цaрь и3 ґмaнъ на пи1ръ, є3г0же сотворю2 днeсь.

And the king said, Hasten Aman hither, that we may perform the word of Esther. So they both come to the feast of which Esther had spoken.	И# речE цaрь: ўскори1те и3ти2 по ґмaна, да сотвори1мъ сл0во є3сfи1рино. И# пріид0ста џба на пи1ръ, є3г0же сотвори2 є3сfи1рь.

And at the banquet the king said to Esther, What is thy request, queen Esther? speak, and thou shalt have all that thou requirest.	На пирy же речE цaрь ко є3сfи1ри: чт0 є3сть, є3сfи1ре цари1це; (и3 кaz є4сть мhсль прошeніz твоегw2; дaмъ ти2 и3 до полуцaрства моегw2,) и3 бyдетъ є3ли1кw проси1ши.

And she said, My request and my petition are:	И# речE є3сfи1рь : прошeніе моE и3 молeніе:

if I have found favour in the sight of the king, let the king and Aman come again to-morrow to the feast which I shall prepare for them, and to-morrow I will do the same.	ѓще њбрэт0хъ благодaть пред8 царeмъ, да пріи1детъ цaрь и3 ґмaнъ є3щE заyтра на пи1ръ, є3г0же сотворю2 и4ма, и3 заyтра сотворю2 сіE прошeніе.

So Aman went out from the king very glad and merry: but when Aman saw Mardochæus the Jew in the court, he was greatly enraged.	И# и3зhде ґмaнъ t царS ѕэлw2 рaдостенъ и3 вeселъ: ви1дэвъ же мардохeа їудeанина во дворЁ (царeвэ не подви1гнувшасz и3 не клaнzющатz прeд8 ни1мъ), воз8zри1сz ѕэлw2:

And having gone into his own house, he called his friends, and his wife Zosara.	и3 вшeдъ въ д0мъ св0й, призвA дрyги сво‰ и3 зwсaру женY свою2

And he shewed them his wealth, and the glory with which the king had invested him, and how he had caused him to take precedence and bear chief rule in the kingdom.	и3 показA и5мъ богaтство своE и3 слaву, є4юже возвели1чи є3го2 цaрь, и3 ћкw сотвори2 є3го2 пeрваго бhти и3 прaвити цaрствіе.

And Aman said, The queen has called no one to the feast with the king but me, and I am invited to-morrow.	И# речE ґмaнъ: не звA цари1ца ни є3ди1нагw на пи1ръ со царeмъ, но т0чію менE, и3 наyтріе звaше мS:

But these things please me not, while I see Mardochæus the Jew in the court.	но сі‰ не сyть ми2 ўгHдна, є3гдA ви1жду мардохeа їудeанина во дворЁ (царeвэ).

And Zosara his wife and his friends said to him, Let there be a gallows made for thee of fifty cubits, and in the morning do thou speak to the king, and let Mardochæus be hanged on the gallows: but do thou go in to the feast with the king, and be merry. And the saying pleased Aman, and the gallows was prepared.	И# речE є3мY зwсaра женA є3гw2 и3 дрyзіе: пригот0ви дрeво лакHтъ пzтьдесsтъ, и3 заyтра речeши царeви, и3 да повeшенъ бyдетъ мардохeй на дрeвэ: тh же вни1ди со царeмъ на пи1ръ и3 весели1сz. И# ўг0денъ бhсть ґмaну глаг0лъ сeй, и3 ўгот0ва дрeво.
