| And the men are shepherds; for they have been feeders of cattle, and they have brought with them their cattle, and their kine, and all their property. | ці люди пастухи овець, бо скотарі вони; і дрібна і велика худоба своя, й усе, що у них, привели вони. |

| If then Pharao call you, and say to you, What is your occupation? | Якщо фараон покличе вас і скаже: яке заняття ваше? |

| Ye shall say, We thy servants are herdsmen from our youth until now, both we and our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Gesem of Arabia, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians. | то ви скажіть: ми, раби твої, скотарями були від юности нашої донині, і ми і батьки наші, щоб вас оселили в землі Гесем. Тому що мерзота є для єгиптян усякий пастух овець. |
