| Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren; | Авраа́м роди́ Ісаа́ка. Ісаа́к же роди́ Іа́кова. Іа́ков же роди́ Іу́ду і бра́тію єго́. |

| and Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram; | Іу́да же роди́ Фаре́са і За́ру от Фама́ри. Фаре́с же роди́ Есро́ма. Есро́м же роди́ Ара́ма. |

| and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon; | Ара́м же роди́ Амінада́ва. Амінада́в же роди́ Наассо́на. Наассо́н же роди́ Салмо́на. |

| and Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; | Салмо́н же роди́ Воо́за от Раха́ви. Воо́з же роди́ Ови́да от Ру́фи. Ови́д же роди́ Ієссе́я. |

| and Jesse begat David the king. And David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah; | Ієссе́й же роди́ Дави́да царя́. Дави́д же цар роди́ Соломо́на от Урі́їни. |

| and Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa; | Соломо́н же роди́ Ровоа́ма. Ровоа́м же роди́ Аві́ю. Аві́я же роди́ А́су. |

| and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah; | А́са же роди́ Іосафа́та. Іосафа́т же роди́ Іора́ма. Іора́м же роди́ Озі́ю. |

| and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah; | Озі́я же роди́ Іоафа́ма. Іоафа́м же роди́ Аха́за. Аха́з же роди́ Єзекі́ю. |

| and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah; | Єзекі́я же роди́ Манассі́ю. Манассі́я же роди́ Амо́на. Амо́н же роди́ Іосі́ю. |

| and Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brethren, at the time of the carrying away to Babylon. | Іосі́я же роди́ Ієхо́нію і бра́тію єго́, в преселе́ніє вавило́нськоє [Ст. 11 в ні́кіїх греч.: Іосі́я же роди́ Іоаки́ма і бра́тію єго́. Іоаки́м же роди́ Ієхо́нію в преселе́ніє вавило́нськоє]. |

| And after the carrying away to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel; | По преселе́нії же вавило́нстім, Ієхо́нія роди́ Салафі́їля. Салафі́їль же роди́ Зорова́веля. |

| and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; | Зорова́вель же роди́ Авіу́да. Авіу́д же роди́ Єліаки́ма. Єліаки́м же роди́ Азо́ра. |

| and Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; | Азо́р же роди́ Садо́ка. Садо́к же роди́ Ахи́ма. Ахи́м же роди́ Еліу́да. |

| and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; | Єліу́д же роди́ Єлеаза́ра. Єлеаза́р же роди́ Матфа́на. Матфа́н же роди́ Іа́кова. |

| and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. | Іа́ков же роди́ Іо́сифа, му́жа Марі́їна, із Нея́же роди́ся Ісу́с, глаго́лемий Христо́с. |

| So all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; and from David unto the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon unto the Christ fourteen generations. | Всіх же родо́в от Авраа́ма до Дави́да ро́дове четирена́десяте; і от Дави́да до преселе́нія вавило́нськаго ро́дове четирена́десяте; і от преселе́нія вавило́нськаго до Христа́ ро́дове четирена́десяте. |

| Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. | (Зач. 2) Ісу́с Христо́во Рождество́ си́це бі: обруче́нній бо би́вши Ма́тері Єго́ Марі́ї Іо́сифові, пре́жде да́же не сни́тися ї́ма, обрі́теся іму́щи во чре́ві от Ду́ха Свя́та. |

| And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. | Іо́сиф же муж Єя́, пра́веден сий і не хотя́ Єя́ обличи́ти, восхоті́ тай пусти́ти Ю. |

| But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. | Сія́ же єму́ поми́слившу, се а́нгел Госпо́день во сні яви́ся єму́, глаго́ля: Іо́сифе, си́не Дави́дов, не убо́йся прия́ти Маріа́м жени́ твоєя́, ро́ждшеєбося в ней, от Ду́ха єсть Свя́та. |

| And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins. | Роди́ть же Си́на, і нарече́ши і́м'я Єму́ Ісу́с, Той бо спасе́ть лю́ди Своя́ от гріх їх. |

| Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, | Сіє́ же все бисть, да сбу́деться рече́нноє от Го́спода проро́ком, глаго́лющим: |

| Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us. | се Ді́ва во чре́ві при́йметь і роди́ть Си́на, і нареку́ть і́м'я Єму́ Емману́їл, є́же єсть сказа́ємо: с на́ми Бог. |

| And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife; | Воста́в же Іо́сиф от сна, сотвори́ я́коже повелі́ єму́ а́нгел Госпо́день, і прия́т жену́ свою́, |

| and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. | і не зна́яше Єя́, до́ндеже роди́ Си́на Своєго́ пе́рвенця, і нарече́ і́м'я Єму́ Ісу́с. |
