Chapter 20	Глава 20

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that was a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard.	(Зач. 80) Подо́бно бо єсть Ца́рствіє Небе́сноє челові́ку домови́ту, і́же ізи́де ку́пно [зіло́] у́тро ная́ти ді́лателі в виногра́д свой,

And when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.	і совіща́в с ді́лателі по пі́нязю на день, посла́ їх в виногра́д свой.

And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing in the marketplace idle;	І ізше́д в тре́тій час, ви́ді і́ни стоя́щя на то́ржищі пра́здни,

and to them he said, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you.	і тім рече́: іді́те і ви в виногра́д мой, і є́же бу́деть пра́вда, дам вам. Они́ же ідо́ша.

And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.	Па́ки же ізше́д в шести́й і дев'я́тий час, сотвори́ та́коже.

And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle; and he saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?	Во єдинийжена́десять час ізше́д, обрі́те другі́я стоя́щя пра́здни і глаго́ла їм: что зді стоїте́ весь день пра́здні?

They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right ye shall receive.	Глаго́лаша єму́: я́ко нікто́же нас ная́т. Глаго́ла їм: іді́те і ви в виногра́д (мой), і є́же бу́деть пра́ведно, при́ймете.

And when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and pay them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.	Ве́черу же би́вшу, глаго́ла господи́н виногра́да к приста́внику своєму́: призови́ ді́лателі і даждь їм мзду, наче́н от послі́дніх до пе́рвих.

And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a denarius.	І прише́дше і́же во єдинийна́десять час, прия́ша по пі́нязю.

Now when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received every man a denarius.	Прише́дше же пе́рвії мня́ху, я́ко в'я́щше при́ймуть; і прия́ша і ті́ї по пі́нязю;

And when they received it, they murmured against the householder,	приє́мше же ропта́ху на господи́на,

saying, These last have spent but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.	глаго́люще, я́ко сі́ї послі́днії єди́н час сотвори́ша, і ра́вних нам сотвори́л їх єси́, поне́сшим тяготу́ дне і вар.

But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a denarius?	Он же отвіща́в рече́ єди́ному їх: дру́же, не оби́жу тебе́; не по пі́нязю ли совіща́л єси́ со мно́ю?

Take up that which is thine, and go thy way; it is my will to give unto this last, even as unto thee.	возьми́ твоє́ і іди́; хощу́ же і сему́ послі́днему да́ти, я́коже і тебі́;

Or is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?	іли́ ність мі літь сотвори́ти, є́же хощу́, во свої́х мі? А́ще о́ко твоє́ лука́во єсть, я́ко аз благ єсьм?

So the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.	Та́ко бу́дуть послі́днії пе́рві, і пе́рвії послі́дні; мно́зі бо суть зва́ні, ма́ло же ізбра́нних.

And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and he said unto them,	(Зач. 81) І восходя́ Ісу́с во Ієрусали́м, поя́т обана́десяте ученика́ єди́ни [осо́б] на путі́ і рече́ їм:

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and scribes; and they shall condemn him to death,	се, восхо́дим во Ієрусали́м, і Син Челові́чеський пре́дан бу́деть архієре́єм і кни́жником; і осу́дять Єго́ на смерть,

and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify: and the third day he shall rise again.	і предадя́ть Єго́ язи́ком на поруга́ніє, і біє́ніє, і проп'я́тіє; і в тре́тій день воскре́снеть.

Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, worshiping him, and asking a certain thing of him.	Тогда́ приступи́ к Нему́ ма́ти си́ну Зеведе́йову с сино́ма свої́ма, кла́няющися і прося́щи ні́что от Него́.

And he said unto her, What wouldest thou? She saith unto him, Command that these my two sons may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy kingdom.	Он же рече́ єй: чесо́ хо́щеши? Глаго́ла Єму́: рци, да ся́дета сія́ о́ба си́на моя́, єди́н одесну́ю Тебе́ і єди́н ошу́юю (Тебе́) во Ца́рствії Твоє́м.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.	Отвіща́в же Ісу́с рече́: не ві́ста, чесо́ про́сита; мо́жета ли пи́ти ча́шу, ю́же Аз і́мам пи́ти, іли́ креще́нієм, і́мже Аз кре́ща́юся, крести́тися? Глаго́ласта Єму́: мо́жева.

And he saith unto them, My cup indeed ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left hand, is not mine to give; but it is for them for whom it hath been prepared of my Father.	І глаго́ла ї́ма: ча́шу у́бо Мою́ іспіє́та, і креще́нієм, і́мже Аз креща́юся, і́мате крести́тися; а є́же сі́сти одесну́ю Мене́ і ошу́юю Мене́ — ність Моє́ да́ти, но ї́мже угото́вася от Отця́ Моєго́.

And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation concerning the two brethren.	І сли́шавше де́сять, негодова́ша о обою́ бра́ту.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.	Ісу́с же призва́в їх, рече́: ві́сте, я́ко кня́зі язи́к госпо́дствують ї́ми, і вели́ції облада́ють ї́ми;

But it shall not be so be among you: but whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister;	не та́ко же бу́деть в вас; но і́же а́ще хо́щеть в вас в'я́щший би́ти, да бу́деть вам слуга́;

and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant:	і і́же а́ще хо́щеть в вас би́ти пе́рвий, бу́ди вам раб;

even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.	я́коже Син Челові́чеський не при́йде, да послу́жать Єму́, но послужи́ти і да́ти ду́шу Свою́ ізбавле́ніє за мно́гих.

And as they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.	(Зач. 82) І ісходя́щу Єму́ от Ієрихо́на, по Нем і́де наро́д мног.

And behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, thou son of David.	І се, два сліпця́ сідя́ща при путі́, сли́шавша, я́ко Ісу́с мимохо́дить, возопи́ста, глаго́люща: поми́луй ни, Го́споди, Си́не Дави́дов.

And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried out the more, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, thou son of David.	Наро́д же преща́ше ї́ма, да умолчи́та; о́на же па́че вопія́ста, глаго́люща: поми́луй ни, Го́споди, Си́не Дави́дов.

And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I should do unto you?	І воста́в Ісу́с возгласи́ я і рече́: что хо́щета, да сотворю́ ва́ма?

They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.	Глаго́ласта Єму́: Го́споди, да отве́рзетіся о́чі на́ю.

And Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and straightaway their eyes received sight, and they followed him.	Милосе́рдовав же Ісу́с прикосну́ся о́чію ї́ма; і а́біє прозрі́ста ї́ма о́чі, і по Нем ідо́ста.
