And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, he said unto his disciples,
|

|
Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.
|
ві́сте, я́ко по двою́ дню Па́сха бу́деть, і Син Челові́чеський пре́дан бу́деть на проп'я́тіє.
|
|

|
|
Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas;
|
Тогда́ собра́шася архієре́є, і кни́жници, і ста́рці людсті́ї во двор архієре́йов, глаго́лемаго Кая́фи,
|

|
and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.
|
і совіща́ша, да Ісу́са ле́стію і́муть і убію́ть;
|
|

|

|
|
But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.
|
глаго́лаху же: но не в пра́здник, да не молва́ бу́деть в лю́дех.
|
|

|
|
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
|
(Зач. 108) Ісу́су же би́вшу в Вифа́нії, в дому́ Си́мона прокаже́ннаго,
|
|

|
|
there came unto him a woman having an alabaster cruse of exceeding precious ointment, and she poured it upon his head, as he sat at meat.
|
приступи́ к Нему́ жена́, сткля́ницю ми́ра іму́щи многоці́ннаго, і возлива́ше на главу́ Єго́ возлежа́ща.

|
But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
|
Ви́дівше же ученици́ Єго́ негодова́ша, глаго́люще: чесо́ ра́ди ги́бель сія́ (бисть)?
|
|

|
|
For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
|
можа́ше бо сіє́ ми́ро продано́ би́ти на мно́зі і да́тися ни́щим.
|
|

|

|
|
But Jesus perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
|
Разумі́в же Ісу́с рече́ їм: что тружда́єте жену́? Ді́ло бо добро́ соді́ла о Мні;
|
|

|

|
|
For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
|
всегда́ бо ни́щия і́мате с собо́ю, Мене́ же не всегда́ і́мате;
|
|

|

|
|
For in that she poured this ointment upon my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
|
возлія́вши бо сія́ ми́ро сіє́ на ті́ло Моє́, на погребе́ніє М'я сотвори́;
|
|

|
13
|
|
Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which this woman hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
|
Амі́нь глаго́лю вам: іді́же а́ще пропові́дано бу́деть Єва́нгеліє сіє́ во всем ми́рі, рече́ться і є́же сотвори́ сія́, в па́м'ять єя́.

|
Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
|
Тогда́ шед єди́н от обоюна́десяте, глаго́лемий Іу́да Іскаріо́тський, ко архієре́йом,
|
|

|
|
and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver.
|
рече́; что мі хо́щете да́ти, і аз вам преда́м Єго́? Они́ же поста́виша єму́ три́десять сре́бреник;
|
|

|
|
And from that time he sought opportunity to deliver him unto them.
|
і отто́лі іска́ше удо́бна вре́мене, да Єго́ преда́сть.
|
|

|
Now on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we should make ready for thee to eat the passover?
|
В пе́рвий же день оприсно́чний приступи́ша ученици́ ко Ісу́су, глаго́люще Єму́: гді хо́щеши угото́ваем Ті я́сти Па́сху?

|
And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
|
Он же рече́: іді́те во град ко о́нсиці і рці́те єму́: Учи́тель глаго́леть: вре́м'я Моє́ близ єсть; у тебе́ сотворю́ Па́сху со ученики́ Мої́ми.
|

|
And the disciples did as Jesus appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
|
І сотвори́ша ученици́, я́коже повелі́ їм Ісу́с, і угото́ваша Па́сху.
|
|

|
|
Now when even was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve;
|
Ве́черу же би́вшу, возлежа́ше со обімана́десяте ученико́ма;
|
|

|

|
|
and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
|
і яду́щим їм, рече́: амі́нь глаго́лю вам, я́ко єди́н от вас преда́сть М'я.
|
|

|

|
|
And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began to say unto him each of them, Is it I, Lord?
|
І скорб'я́ще зіло́, нача́ша глаго́лати Єму́ єди́н ки́йждо їх: єда́ аз єсьм, Го́споди?
|
|

|
|
And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
|
Он же отвіща́в рече́: омочи́вий со Мно́ю в соли́ло ру́ку, той М'я преда́сть;
|
|

|
24
|
|
The Son of man goeth, even as it is written of him: but woe unto that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had not been born.
|
Син у́бо Челові́чеський і́деть, я́коже єсть пи́сано о Нем: го́ре же челові́ку тому́, і́мже Син Челові́чеський преда́сться; добро́ би би́ло єму́, а́ще не би роди́лся челові́к той.
|

|
And Judas, who betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith unto him, Thou hast said.
|
Отвіща́в же Іу́да предая́й Єго́, рече́: єда́ аз єсьм, Равві́? Глагола єму́: ти рекл єси́.

|
|
And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and gave thanks, and brake it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
|
Іду́щим же їм, приє́м Ісу́с хліб і благослови́в преломи́, і дая́ше ученико́м, і рече́: приймі́те, яді́те, сіє́ єсть Ті́ло Моє́.

|
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
|
І приє́м ча́шу і хвалу́ возда́в, даде́ їм, глаго́ля: пи́йте от нея́ всі;
|
|

|

|
|
for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.
|
сія́ бо єсть Кров моя́, Но́ваго Заві́та, я́же за мно́гія ізлива́єма во оставле́ніє гріхо́в.
|
|

|
|
But I say unto you, that I shall not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
|
Глаго́лю же вам, я́ко не і́мам пи́ти отни́ні от сего́ плода́ ло́знаго, до дне того́, єгда́ є пію́ с ва́ми но́во во Ца́рствії Отця́ Моєго́.

|
And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
|
І воспі́вше ізидо́ша в го́ру Єлео́нську.
|
|

|
|
Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended in me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
|
Тогда́ глаго́ла їм Ісу́с: всі ви соблазните́ся о Мні в нощ сію́; пи́сано бо єсть: поражу́ па́стиря, і рази́дуться о́вці ста́да;

|
But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.
|
по воскресе́нії же Моє́м варя́ю ви в Галиле́ї.
|

|
|
But Peter answered and said unto him, If all shall be offended in thee, yet I will never be offended.
|
Отвіща́в же Петр рече́ Єму́: а́ще і всі соблазня́ться о Тебі́, аз нікогда́же соблажню́ся.
|

|
|
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
|
Рече́ єму́ Ісу́с: амі́нь глаго́лю тебі́, я́ко в сію́ нощ, пре́жде да́же але́ктор не возгласи́ть, трикра́ти отве́ржешися Мене́.

|
Peter saith unto him, Even if I must die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. And likewise also said all the disciples.
|
Глаго́ла єму́ Петр: а́ще мі єсть і умре́ти с Тобо́ю, не отве́ргуся Тебе́. Та́кожде і всі ученици́ рі́ша.

|
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
|
Тогда́ при́йде с ни́ми Ісу́с в весь, нарица́ємую Гефсима́нія, і глаго́ла ученико́м: сіді́те ту, до́ндеже шед помолю́ся та́мо.

|
And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and sore troubled.
|
І поє́м Петра́ і о́ба си́на Зеведе́йова, нача́т скорбі́ти і тужи́ти.
|
|

|
|
Then saith Jesus unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.
|
Тогда́ глаго́ла їм Ісу́с: приско́рбна єсть душа́ Моя́ до сме́рти; пожді́те зді і бді́те со Мно́ю.

|
And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
|
І преше́д ма́ло, паде́ на лиці́ Своє́м, моля́ся і глаго́ля: О́тче Мой, а́ще возмо́жно єсть, да мимоі́деть от Мене́ ча́ша сія́; оба́че не я́коже Аз хощу́, но я́коже Ти.

|
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
|
І прише́д ко ученико́м, і обрі́те їх сп'я́щих, і глаго́ла Петро́ві: та́ко ли не возмого́сте єди́наго часа́ побді́ти со Мно́ю?

|
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
|
Бді́те і молі́теся, да не вни́дете в напа́сть; дух у́бо бодр, плоть же немощна́.
|
|

|
|
Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
|
Па́ки втори́цею шед помоли́ся, глаго́ля: О́тче Мой, а́ще не мо́жеть сія́ ча́ша мимоіти́ от Мене́, а́ще не пію́ єя́, бу́ди во́ля Твоя́.

|
And he cometh and findeth them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy.
|
І прише́д обрі́те їх па́ки сп'я́щих; бі́ста бо їм о́чі отяготі́ні.
|
|

|
|
And he left them, and went away again, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
|
І оста́вль їх, шед па́ки, помоли́ся трети́цею, то́жде сло́во рек.
|
|

|

|
|
Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
|
Тогда́ при́йде ко ученико́м Свої́м і глаго́ла їм: спі́те про́чеє і почива́йте; се прибли́жися час, і Син Челові́чеський предає́ться в ру́ки грі́шников;

|
Arise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that betrayeth me.
|
воста́ніте, і́дем; се прибли́жися предая́й М'я.
|
|

|
And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
|
І єще́ Єму́ глаго́лющу, се Іу́да, єди́н от обоюна́десяте, при́йде, і с ним наро́д мног со ору́жієм і дреко́льми, от архієре́й і ста́рець людськи́х.

|
Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take him.
|
Предая́й же Єго́ даде́ їм зна́меніє, глаго́ля: Єго́же а́ще лобжу́, Той єсть; імі́те Єго́.

|
|
And straightaway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and kissed him.
|
І а́біє присту́пль ко Ісу́сові, рече́: ра́дуйся, Равві́. І облобиза́ Єго́.
|
|

|
|
And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
|
Ісу́с же рече́ єму́: дру́же, (твори́,) на не́же єси́ прише́л [дру́же, на сіє́ ли прише́л єси́?]. Тогда́ присту́пльше возложи́ша ру́ці на Ісу́са і я́ша Єго́.

|
And behold, one of them that were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.
|
І се, єди́н от су́щих со Ісу́сом, просте́р ру́ку, ізвлече́ нож свой, і уда́ри раба́ архієре́йова, і урі́за єму́ у́хо.

|
Then saith Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall die by the sword.
|
Тогда́ глаго́ла єму́ Ісу́с: возврати́ нож твой в мі́сто єго́; всі бо приє́мшії нож ноже́м поги́бнуть;
|

|
|
Or thinkest thou that I cannot now beseech my Father, and he shall send me more than twelve legions of angels?
|
іли́ мни́ться ті, я́ко не могу́ ни́ні умоли́ти Отця́ Моєго́, і предста́вить Мі в'я́щше не́же двана́десяте легео́на а́нгел?

|
How then should the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
|
Ка́ко у́бо сбу́дуться писа́нія, я́ко та́ко подоба́єть би́ти?
|

|
In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and staves to seize me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye took me not.
|
В той час рече́ Ісу́с наро́дом: я́ко на разбо́йника ли ізидо́сте со ору́жієм і дреко́льми я́ти М'я? По вся дні при вас сіді́х учя́ в це́ркві, і не я́сте Мене́.

|
But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.
|
Се же все бисть, да сбу́дуться писа́нія проро́чеськая. Тогда́ ученици́ всі оста́вльше Єго́ біжа́ша.

|
And they that had taken Jesus led him away to the house of Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
|
(Зач. 109) (Во́їни) же є́мше Ісу́са ведо́ша к Кая́фі, архієре́йові, іді́же кни́жници і ста́рці собра́шася.

But Peter followed him afar off, unto the court of the high priest, and entered in, and sat with the officers, to see the end.
|
Петр же ідя́ше по Нем іздале́ча до двора́ архієре́йова; і вшед внутр, сідя́ше со слуга́ми, ви́діти кончи́ну.

|
Now the chief priests, and the elders, and the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death;
|
Архієре́є же, і ста́рці, і сонм весь іска́ху лжесвиді́тельства на Ісу́са, я́ко да убію́ть Єго́,
|
|

|
|
and they found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. But afterward came two false witnesses,
|
і не обріта́ху; і мно́гим лжесвиді́телем присту́пльшим, не обріто́ша. По́сліжде же приступи́вша два лжесвиді́теля,
|
|

|
|
and said, This man said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
|
рі́ста: Сей рече́: могу́ разори́ти це́рков Бо́жию і треми́ де́ньми созда́ти ю.

|
|
And the high priest stood up, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
|
І воста́в архієре́й рече́ Єму́: нічесо́же ли отвіщава́єши, что сі́ї на Тя свиді́тельствують?

|
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God.
|
Ісу́с же молча́ше. І отвіща́в архієре́й рече́ Єму́: заклина́ю Тя Бо́гом Живи́м, да рече́ши нам, а́ще Ти єси́ Христо́с, Син Бо́жий?

|
Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
|
Глаго́ла єму́ Ісу́с: ти рекл єси́; оба́че глаго́лю вам: отсе́лі у́зрите Си́на Челові́чеськаго сідя́ща одесну́ю Си́ли і гряду́ща на о́блаціх небе́сних.

|
Then the high priest rent his garments, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy: what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy:
|
Тогда́ архієре́й растерза́ ри́зи своя́, глаго́ля, я́ко хулу́ глаго́ла; что єще́ тре́буєм свиді́телей? Се ни́ні сли́шасте хулу́ Єго́!

|
what think ye? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.
|
Что вам мни́ться? Они́ же отвіща́вше рі́ша: пови́нен єсть сме́рті.
|

|
Then did they spit in his face and buffet him: and some smote him with the palms of their hands,
|
Тогда́ заплева́ша лице́ Єго́ і па́кості Єму́ ді́яху [і по лани́тома бія́ху Єго́]; о́вії же за лани́ту уда́риша [зауша́ху Єго́],

|
saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ: who is he that struck thee?
|
глаго́люще: прорци́ нам, Христе́, кто єсть ударе́й Тя?
|

|
Now Peter was sitting without in the court: and a maid came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus the Galilean.
|
Петр же вні сідя́ше во дворі́. І приступи́ к нему́ єди́на раби́ня, глаго́лющи: і ти бил єси́ со Ісу́сом Галиле́йським.

|
But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
|
Он же отве́ржеся пред всі́ми, глаго́ля: не вім, что глаго́леши.
|
|

|
And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and saith unto them there, This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
|
Ізше́дшу же єму́ ко врато́м, узрі́ єго́ друга́я, і глаго́ла су́щим та́мо: і сей бі со Ісу́сом Назоре́йом.

|
And again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.
|
І па́ки отве́ржеся с кля́твою, я́ко не зна́ю челові́ка.
|
|

|
And after a little while they that stood by came and said to Peter, Of a truth thou also art one of them; for thy speech maketh thee known.
|
Пома́лі же приступи́вше стоя́щії, рі́ша Петро́ві: воі́стину і ти от них єси́, і́бо бесі́да твоя́ я́ві тя твори́ть.

|
Then began he to curse and to swear, I know not the man. And straightaway the cock crowed.
|
Тогда́ нача́т роти́тися і кля́тися, я́ко не зна́ю челові́ка. І а́біє пі́тель возгласи́.
|

|
And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
|
І пом'яну́ Петр глаго́л Ісу́сов, рече́нний єму́, я́ко пре́жде да́же пі́тель не возгласи́ть, трикра́ти отве́ржешися Мене́. І ізше́д вон пла́кася го́рко.
