| And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars; | І з’явилося на небі велике знамення: жона, оповита сонцем; під ногами її місяць і на голові її вінець з дванадцяти зірок. |

| and she being with child cried out, travailing in birth, and in pain to be delivered. | Вона мала в утробі і кричала від болю і мук народження. |
|

| And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold, a great dragon of fire, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems. | І з’явилось інше знамення на небі: ось, дракон величезний червоний з сімома головами і десятьма рогами, і на головах його сім вінців. |
|

| And his tail draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman that is about to be delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her child. | Хвіст його захопив з неба третю частину зірок і кинув їх на землю. Дракон цей став перед жоною, яка мала родити, щоб, коли вона народить, пожерти її немовля. |

| And she was delivered of a son, a man child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and unto his throne. | І народила вона немовля чоловічої статі, якому належить пасти всі народи залізним жезлом; і піднесене було дитя її до Бога і престолу Його. |

| And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath there a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days. | А жона втекла в пустелю, де було приготоване їй місце від Бога, щоб там годували її тисячу двісті шістдесят днів. |
|

| And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels going forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; | І відбулася на небі війна: Михаїл і ангели його воювали проти дракона, і дракон і ангели його воювали проти них, |

| and he prevailed not, neither was a place found for him anymore in heaven. | та не встояли, і не знайшлося вже місця для них на небі. |
|

| And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. | І скинутий був великий дракон, древній змій, званий дияволом і сатаною, що спокушає всю вселенну, скинутий на землю, і ангели його скинуті з ним. |

| And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night. | І почув я гучний голос на небі, який промовляв: нині настало спасіння, і сила, і царство Бога нашого і влада Христа Його, тому що скинутий наклепник братів наших, який зводив наклепи на них перед Богом нашим день і ніч. |

| And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death. | Вони перемогли його кров’ю Агнця і словом свідчення свого і не полюбили душі своєї* навіть до смерти. |

| Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the earth and to the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time. | Отже, веселіться, небеса і ті, що живуть на них! Горе тим, що живуть на землі і на морі! Бо зійшов диявол до вас у великій люті, знаючи, що небагато йому лишається часу. |

| And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man child. | Коли ж дракон побачив, що скинутий на землю, то став переслідувати жону, яка народила дитя чоловічої статі. |

| And there were given to the woman two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, that she might be nourished there for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. | І були дані жоні два крила великого орла, щоб вона летіла в пустелю на місце своє від лиця змія і там годувалася протягом часу, часів і півчасу. |

| And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream. | І пустив змій услід за жоною з пащі своєї воду, мов річку, щоб потопити її в річці. |
|

| And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. | Але земля допомогла жоні, і розкрила земля уста свої, і поглинула річку, яку дракон пустив з пащі своєї. |
|

| And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus. | І розлютився дракон на жону, і пішов, щоб вступити в бій з іншими з роду її, які зберігають заповіді Божі і мають свідчення Ісуса Христа. |
