Chapter 8	Глава 8

And when he opened the seventh seal, there followed a silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.	І коли Він зняв сьому печать, настала безмовність на небі, десь на півгодини.

And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.	І я бачив сім ангелів, які стояли перед Богом, і дано їм сім труб.

And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.	І прийшов інший ангел, і став перед жертовником, тримаючи золоту кадильницю; і дано було йому багато фіміаму, щоб він з молитвами всіх святих поклав його на золотий жертовник, що перед престолом.

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.	І піднісся дим фіміаму з молитвами святих від руки ангела перед Богом.

And the angel taketh the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there followed thunders, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake.	І взяв ангел кадильницю, і наповнив її вогнем з жертовника, і поклав на землю: і з’явилися голоси і громи, і блискавки, і землетрус.

And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.	І сім ангелів, які мали сім труб, приготувалися трубити.

And the first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.	Перший ангел затрубив, і сталися град і вогонь, змішані з кров’ю, і впали на землю; і третя частина дерев згоріла, і вся трава зелена згоріла.

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great burning mountain was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;	Другий ангел затрубив, і ніби велика гора, палаюча вогнем, упала в море; і третя частина моря стала кров’ю,

and there died the third part of the creatures in the sea, even they that had life; and the third part of the ships was destroyed.	і вмерла третя частина одушевлених створінь, що живуть у морі, і третя частина суден загинула.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell from heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of the waters;	Третій ангел затрубив, і впала з неба велика зірка, що палала подібно до світильника, і впала на третю частину рік і на джерела вод.

and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many of the men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.	Ім’я цієї зірки «полин»; і третя частина вод стала, як полин, і багато з людей померло від вод, тому що вони стали гіркі.

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; that the third part of them should be darkened, and the day should not shine for the third part of it, and the night in like manner.	Четвертий ангел затрубив, і уражена була третя частина сонця і третя частина місяця, і третя частина зірок, так що затьмарилася третя частина їх, і третя частина дня не була світла — так само, як і ночі.

And I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in midheaven, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, woe, to them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound.	І бачив я і чув одного ангела, який літав посеред неба і говорив гучним голосом: горе, горе, горе тим, що живуть на землі, від останніх трубних голосів трьох ангелів, які будуть трубити.
