| And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. И# бhсть ѓвель пaстырь nвeцъ, кaінъ же бЁ дёлаzй зeмлю. |

| And it was so after some time that Cain brought of the fruits of the earth a sacrifice to the Lord.

| And Abel also brought of the firstborn of his sheep and of his fatlings, and God looked upon Abel and his gifts, | и3 ѓвель принесE и3 т0й t первор0дныхъ nвeцъ свои1хъ и3 t тyкwвъ и4хъ.

| but Cain and his sacrifices he regarded not, and Cain was exceedingly sorrowful and his countenance fell. И# њпечaлисz кaінъ ѕэлw2, и3 и3спадE лицE є3гw2. |
6
6
| And the Lord God said to Cain, Why art thou become very sorrowful and why is thy countenance fallen?

7
| Hast thou not sinned if thou hast brought it rightly, but not rightly divided it? be still, to thee shall be his submission, and thou shalt rule over him. |

| And Cain said to Abel his brother, Let us go out into the plain; and it came to pass that when they were in the plain Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. И# бhсть внегдA бhти и5мъ на п0ли, востA кaінъ на ѓвелz брaта своего2 и3 ўби2 є3го2. |
9
9
| And the Lord God said to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? and he said, I know not, am I my brother's keeper? | И# речE гDь бGъ ко кaіну: гдЁ є4сть ѓвель брaтъ тв0й; И# речE: не вёмъ: є3дA стрaжъ брaту моемY є4смь ѓзъ; |
10
10
| And the Lord said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood cries to me out of the ground.
11
11
| And now thou art cursed from the earth which has opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand.
12
12
| When thou tillest the earth, then it shall not continue to give its strength to thee: thou shalt be groaning and trembling on the earth. | є3гдA дёлаеши зeмлю, и3 не приложи1тъ си1лы своеS дaти тебЁ: стенS и3 трzсhйсz бyдеши на земли2. |
13
13
| And Cain said to the Lord God, My crime is too great for me to be forgiven. | И# речE кaінъ ко гDу бGу: вsщшаz винA моS, є4же њстaвитисz ми2: |
14
14
| If thou castest me out this day from the face of the earth, and I shall be hidden from thy presence, and I shall be groaning and trembling upon the earth, then it will be that any one that finds me shall slay me. |
15
15
| And the Lord God said to him, Not so, any one that slays Cain shall suffer seven-fold vengeance; and the Lord God set a mark upon Cain that no one that found him might slay him. | И# речE є3мY гDь бGъ: не тaкw: всsкъ ўби1вый кaіна седми1жды tмсти1тсz. И# положи2 гDь бGъ знaменіе на кaінэ, є4же не ўби1ти є3гw2 всsкому њбрэтaющему є3го2. |
16
16
| So Cain went forth from the presence of God and dwelt in the land of Nod over against Edem. | И# и3зhде кaінъ t лицA б9іz и3 всели1сz въ зeмлю наjдъ, прsмw є3дeму. |
17
17
| And Cain knew his wife, and having conceived she bore Enoch; and he built a city; and he named the city after the name of his son, Enoch. | И# познA кaінъ женY свою2, и3 зачeнши роди2 є3нHха. И# бЁ зи1ждzй грaдъ, и3 и3меновA грaдъ во и4мz сhна своегw2 є3нHхъ. |
18
18
| And to Enoch was born Gaidad; and Gaidad begot Maleleel; and Maleleel begot Mathusala; and Mathusala begot Lamech. | Роди1сz же є3нHху гаідaдъ: и3 гаідaдъ роди2 малелеи1ла: и3 малелеи1лъ роди2 маfусaла: маfусaлъ же роди2 ламeха. |
19
19
| And Lamech took to himself two wives; the name of the one was Ada, and the name of the second Sella. | И# взS себЁ ламeхъ двЁ жєны2: и4мz є3ди1нэй ґдA и3 и4мz вторёй селлA. |
20
20
| And Ada bore Jobel; he was the father of those that dwell in tents, feeding cattle. | И# роди2 ґдA їwви1ла: сeй бsше nтeцъ живyщихъ въ селeніихъ скотопитaтелей. |
21
21
| And the name of his brother was Jubal; he it was who invented the psaltery and harp. | И# и4мz брaту є3гw2 їувaлъ: сeй бsше показaвый пэвни1цу и3 гyсли. |
22
22
| And Sella also bore Thobel; he was a smith, a manufacturer both of brass and iron; and the sister of Thobel was Noëma. | Селлa же и3 тaz роди2 f0вела: сeй бsше млатобjецъ, ковaчь мёди и3 желёза: сестрa же f0велова ноемA. |
23
23
| And Lamech said to his wives, Ada and Sella, Hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech, consider my words, because I have slain a man to my sorrow and a youth to my grief. | Речe же ламeхъ свои6мъ женaмъ: ґдA и3 селлA, ўслhшите глaсъ м0й, жєны2 ламeхwвы, внуши1те мо‰ словесA: ћкw мyжа ўби1хъ въ ћзву мнЁ и3 ю4ношу въ стрyпъ мнЁ: |
24
24
| Because vengeance has been exacted seven times on Cain's behalf, on Lamech's it shall be seventy times seven. |
25
25
| And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore a son, and called his name Seth, saying, For God has raised up to me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. | Познa же ґдaмъ є4vу женY свою2: и3 зачeнши роди2 сhна, и3 и3меновA и4мz є3мY си1fъ, глаг0лющи: воскRси1 бо ми2 бGъ сёмz друг0е, вмёстw ѓвелz, є3г0же ўби2 кaінъ. |
26
26
| And Seth had a son, and he called his name Enos: he hoped to call on the name of the Lord God. | И# си1fу бhсть сhнъ: и3меновa же и4мz є3мY є3нHсъ: сeй ўповA призывaти и4мz гDа бGа. |
