Chapter 21	Глава 21

And the heads of the families of the sons of Levi drew near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Naue, and to the heads of families of the tribes of Israel.	Начальники поколінь левитських прийшли до Єлеазара священика і до Ісуса, сина Навина, і до начальників поколінь синів Ізраїлевих,

And they spoke to them in Selo in the land of Chanaan, saying, The Lord gave commandment by Moses to give us cities to dwell in, and the country round about for our cattle.	і говорили їм у Силомі, в землі Ханаанській, і сказали: Господь повелів через Мойсея дати нам міста для проживання і передмістя їх для худоби нашої.

So the children of Israel gave to the Levites in their inheritance by the command of the Lord the cities and the country round.	І дали сини Ізраїлеві левитам з наділів своїх, за повелінням Господнім, ці міста з передмістями їх.

And the lot came out for the children of Caath; and the sons of Aaron, the priests the Levites, had by lot thirteen cities out of the tribe of Juda, and out of the tribe of Symeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin.	Випав жереб племенам Каафовим; і дісталося за жеребом синам Аарона священика, левитам, від коліна Іудиного, і від коліна Симеонового, і від коліна Веніамінового, тринадцять міст;

And to the sons of Caath that were left were given by lot ten cities, out of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasse.	а іншим синам Каафа від племен коліна Єфремового, і від коліна Данового, і від половини коліна Манассіїного, за жеребом, дісталося десять міст;

And the sons of Gedson had thirteen cities, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Aser, and out of the tribe of Nephthali, and out of the half tribe of Manasse in Basan.	синам Гирсоновим — від племен коліна Іссахарового, і від коліна Асирового, і від коліна Неффалимового, і від половини коліна Манассіїного у Васані, за жеребом, дісталося тринадцять міст;

And the sons of Merari according to their families had by lot twelve cities, out of the tribe of Ruben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zabulon.	синам Мерариним, за їх племенами, від коліна Рувимового, від коліна Гадового і від коліна Завулонового — дванадцять міст.

And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs, as the Lord commanded Moses, by lot.	І віддали сини Ізраїлеві левитам ці міста з передмістями їх, як повелів Господь через Мойсея, за жеребом.

And the tribe of the children of Juda, and the tribe of the children of Symeon, and part of the tribe of the children of Benjamin gave these cities, and they were assigned	Від коліна синів Іудиних, і від коліна синів Симеонових, [і від коліна синів Веніамінових] дали міста, які тут названі поіменно:

to the sons of Aaron of the family of Caath of the sons of Levi, for the lot fell to these.	синам Аарона, з племен Каафових, із синів Левія [тому що жереб їхній був перший],

And they gave to them Cariatharboc the metropolis of the sons of Enac; this is Chebron in the mountain country of Juda, and the suburbs round it.	дали Кириаф-Арби, батька Єнакового, інакше Хеврон, на горі Іудиній, і передмістя його навколо нього;

But the lands of the city, and its villages Joshua gave to the sons of Chaleb the son of Jephonne for a possession.	а поле цього міста і села його віддали у власність Халеву, синові Ієфонніїному.

And to the sons of Aaron he gave the city of refuge for the slayer, Chebron, and the suburbs belonging to it; and Lemna and the suburbs belonging to it;	Отже, синам Аарона священика дали місто притулку для убивці — Хеврон і передмістя його, Ливну і передмістя її,

and Ælom and its suburbs; and Tema and its suburbs;	Іаттир і передмістя його, Ештемо і передмістя його,

and Gella and its suburbs; and Dabir and its suburbs;	Холон і передмістя його, Давир і передмістя його,

and Asa and its suburbs; and Tany and its suburbs; and Bæthsamys and its suburbs: nine cities from these two tribes.	Аїн і передмістя його, Ютту і передмістя її, Беф-Шемеш і передмістя його: дев’ять міст від двох колін цих;

And from the tribe of Benjamin, Gabaon and its suburbs; and Gatheth and its suburbs;	а від коліна Веніамінового: Гаваон і передмістя його, Геву і передмістя її,

and Anathoth and its suburbs; and Gamala and its suburbs; four cities.	Анафоф і передмістя його, Алмон і передмістя його: чотири міста.

All the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, thirteen.	Усіх міст синам Аароновим, священикам, дісталося тринадцять міст із передмістями їх.

And to the families, even the sons of Caath the Levites, that were left of the sons of Caath, there was given their priests' city,	І племенам синів Каафових, левитів, іншим із синів Каафових, за жеребом їх, дісталися міста від коліна Єфремового;

out of the tribe of Ephraim; and they gave them the slayer's city of refuge, Sychem, and its suburbs, and Gazara and its appendages, and its suburbs;	дали їм місто притулку для вбивці — Сихем і передмістя його, на горі Єфремовій, Гезер і передмістя його,

and Bæthoron and its suburbs: four cities:	Кивцаїм і передмістя його, Беф-Орон і передмістя його: чотири міста;

and of the tribe of Dan, Helcothaim and its suburbs; and Gethedan and its suburbs:	від коліна Данового: Елфеке і передмістя його, Гиввефон і передмістя його,

and Ælon and its suburbs; and Getheremmon and its suburbs: four cities.	Аїалон і передмістя його, Гаф-Риммон і передмістя його: чотири міста;

And out of the half tribe of Manasse, Tanach and its suburbs; and Jebatha and its suburbs; two cities.	від половини коліна Манассіїного: Фаанах і передмістя його, Гаф-Риммон і передмістя його: два міста.

In all were given ten cities, and the suburbs of each belonging to them, to the families of the sons of Caath that remained.	Усіх міст із передмістями їх іншим племенам синів Каафових дісталося десять.

And Joshua gave to the sons of Gedson the Levites out of the other half tribe of Manasse cities set apart for the slayers, Gaulon in the country of Basan, and its suburbs; and Bosora and its suburbs; two cities.	А синам Гирсоновим, із племен левитських дали: від половини коліна Манассіїного місто притулку для вбивці — Голан у Васані й передмістя його, і Беештеру і передмістя її: два міста;

And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kison and its suburbs; and Debba and its suburbs;	від коліна Іссахарового: Кишион і передмістя його, Давраф і передмістя його,

and Remmath and its suburbs; and the well of Letters, and its suburbs; four cities.	Іармуф і передмістя його, Ен-Ганним і передмістя його: чотири міста;

And out of the tribe of Aser, Basella and its suburbs; and Dabbon and its suburbs;	від коліна Асирового: Мишал і передмістя його, Авдон і передмістя його,

and Chelcat and its suburbs; and Raab and its suburbs; four cities.	Хелкаф і передмістя його, Рехов і передмістя його: чотири міста;

And of the tribe of Nephthali, the city set apart for the slayer, Cades in Galilee, and its suburbs; and Nemmath, and its suburbs; and Themmon and its suburbs; three cities.	від коліна Неффалимового місто притулку для вбивці — Кедес у Галилеї і передмістя його, Хамоф-Дор і передмістя його, Карфан і передмістя його: три міста.

All the cities of Gedson according to their families were thirteen cities.	Усіх міст синам Гирсоновим, за племенами їх, дісталося тринадцять міст із передмістями їх.

And to the family of the sons of Merari the Levites that remained, he gave out of the tribe of Zabulon, Maan and its suburbs; and Cades and its suburbs,	Племенам синів Мерариних, решті левитів, дали: від коліна Завулонового Іокнеам і передмістя його, Карфу і передмістя її,

and Sella and its suburbs: three cities.	Димну і передмістя її, Нагалал і передмістя його: чотири міста;

And beyond Jordan over against Jericho, out of the tribe of Ruben, the city of refuge for the slayer, Bosor in the wilderness; Miso and its suburbs; and Jazer and its suburbs;	[по той бік Йордану навпроти Єрихона] від коліна Рувимового [дано місто притулку для вбивці] Бецер [у пустелі Мисор] і передмістя його, Іааца і передмістя її,

and Decmon and its suburbs; and Mapha and its suburbs; four cities.	Кедемоф і передмістя його, Мефааф і передмістя його: чотири міста;

And out of the tribe of Gad the city of refuge for the slayer, both Ramoth in Galaad, and its suburbs; Camin and its suburbs;	від коліна Гадового: міста притулку для вбивці — Рамоф у Галааді й передмістя його, Маханаїм і передмістя його,

and Esbon and its suburbs; and Jazer and its suburbs: the cities were four in all.	Есевон і передмістя його, Іазер і передмістя його: усіх міст чотири.

All these cities were given to the sons of Merari according to the families of them that were left out of the tribe of Levi; and their limits were the twelve cities.	Усіх міст синам Мерариним за племенами їх, решті племен левитських, за жеребом дісталося дванадцять міст.

All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel, were forty-eight cities,	Усіх міст левитських серед володінь синів Ізраїлевих було сорок вісім міст із передмістями їх.

and their suburbs round about these cities: a city and the suburbs round about the city to all these cities:	При містах цих були при кожнім місті передмістя навколо нього: так було при всіх містах цих. [Коли Ісус скінчив розподіл землі за наділами її, тоді сини Ізраїлеві дали частину Ісусові за повелінням Господнім; дали йому місто, яке він просив, Фимнаф-Сару дали йому на горі Єфремовій, і побудував Ісус місто, яке просив, і жив у ньому. І взяв Ісус кам’яні ножі, якими обрізав синів Ізраїлевих, народжених у путі в пустелі, тому що вони не були обрізані в пустелі; і поклав їх у Фимнаф-Сарі.]

and Joshua ceased dividing the land by their borders:

and the children of Israel gave a portion to Joshua because of the commandment of the Lord: they gave him the city which he asked: they gave him Thamnasachar in mount Ephraim;

and Joshua built the city, and dwelt in it:
42d
and Joshua took the knives of stone, wherewith he circumcised the children of Israel that were born in the desert by the way, and put them in Thamnasachar.

So the Lord gave to Israel all the land which he sware to give to their fathers: and they inherited it, and dwelt in it.	Таким чином віддав Господь Ізраїлю всю землю, яку клявся дати батькам їхнім, і вони одержали її в спадщину й оселилися на ній.

And the Lord gave them rest round about, as he sware to their fathers: not one of all their enemies maintained his ground against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hands.	І дав їм Господь спокій з усіх боків, як клявся батькам їх, і ніхто з усіх ворогів їх не встояв проти них; усіх ворогів їхніх віддав Господь до рук їхніх.

There failed not one of the good things which the Lord spoke to the children of Israel; all came to pass.	Не залишилося невиконаним жодне слово з усіх добрих слів, які Господь говорив дому Ізраїлевому; все збулося.
