Chapter 15	Глава 15

And the borders of the tribe of Juda according to their families were from the borders of Idumea from the wilderness of Sin, as far as Cades southward.	Жереб коліну синів Іудиних, за племенами їх, випав такий: у суміжності з Ідумеєю була пустеля Син, на південь, у кінці Фемана;

And their borders were from the south as far as a part of the salt sea from the high country that extends southward.	південною межею їх був край моря Солоного від затоки, що простягається на південь;

And they proceed before the ascent of Acrabin, and go out round Sena, and go up from the south to Cades Barne; and go out to Asoron, and proceed up to Sarada, and go out by the way that is west of Cades.	на півдні йде він до височини Акраввимської, проходить Цин і, піднімаючись з південного боку до Кадес-Варні, проходить Хецрон і, піднімаючись до Аддара, [йде по західній стороні Кадеса,] повертає до Каркаї,

And their boundaries eastward are all the salt sea as far as Jordan; and their borders from the north, and from the border of the sea, and from part of Jordan—	Межею же на схід [усе] море Солоне, до гирла Йордану; а межа з північного боку починається від затоки моря, від гирла Йордану;

the borders go up to Bæthaglaam, and they go along from the north to Bætharaba, and the borders go on up to the stone of Bæon the son of Ruben.	звідси межа піднімається до Беф-Хогли і проходить з північної сторони до Беф-Арави, і йде межа вгору до каменя Богана, сина Рувимового;

And the borders continue on to the fourth part of the valley of Achor, and go down to Galgal, which is before the approach of Adammin, which is southward in the valley, and terminate at the water of the fountain of the sun; and their going forth shall be the fountain of Rogel.	потім піднімається межа до Давира від долини Ахор і на півночі повертає до Галгала, який навпроти узвишшя Адуммима, що лежить з південної сторони потоку; звідси межа проходить до вод Ен-Шемеша і закінчується біля Ен-Рогела;

And the borders go up to the valley of Ennom, behind Jebus southward; this is Jerusalem: and the borders terminate at the top of the mountain, which is before the valley of Ennom toward the sea, which is by the side of the land of Raphain northward.	звідси межа йде вгору до долини сина Енномового з південного боку Ієвуса, який є Єрусалим, і піднімається межа на вершину гори, що на заході навпроти долини Енномової, що на краю долини рефаїмів з півночі;

And the border going forth from the top of the mountain terminates at the fountain of the water of Naphtho, and terminates at mount Ephron; and the border will lead to Baal; this is the city of Jarim.	від вершини гори межа повертає до джерела вод Нефтоах і йде до міст гори Ефрона, і повертає межа до Ваала, який є Кириаф-Іарим;

And the border will go round from Baal to the sea, and will go on to the mount of Assar behind the city of Jarin northwards; this is Chaslon: and it will come down to the city of the Sun, and will go on to the south.	потім повертає межа від Ваала до моря [і йде] до гори Сеїру, і йде північною стороною гори Ієарим, яка є Кесалон, і, сходячи до Вефсамиса, проходить через Фимну;

And the border terminates behind Accaron northward, and the borders will terminate at Socchoth, and the borders will go on to the south, and will terminate at Lebna, and the issue of the borders will be at the sea; and their borders shall be toward the sea, the great sea shall be the boundary.	звідси межа йде північною стороною Екрона, і повертає межа до Шикарона, проходить через гору [землі] Ваал і доходить до Іавнеїла, і закінчується межа біля моря. Західна межа являє собою велике море.

These are the borders of the children of Juda round about according to their families.	Ось межа синів Іудиних із племенами їх з усіх боків.

And to Chaleb the son of Jephone he gave a portion in the midst of the children of Juda by the command of God; and Joshua gave him the city of Arboc the metropolis of Enac; this is Chebron.	І Халеву, синові Ієфонніїному, [Ісус] дав частину серед синів Іудиних, як повелів Господь Ісусові; [і дав йому Ісус] Кириаф-Арби, батька Єнакового, інакше Хеврон.

And Chaleb the son of Jephone destroyed thence the three sons of Enac, Susi, and Tholami, and Achima.	І вигнав звідти Халев [син Ієфонніїн] трьох синів Єнакових: Шешая, Ахимана і Фалмая, дітей Єнакових.

And Chaleb went up thence to the inhabitants of Dabir; and the name of Dabir before was the city of Letters.	Звідси [Халев] пішов проти жителів Давира [ім’я Давиру раніше було Кириаф-Сефер].

And Chaleb said, Whosoever shall take and destroy the city of Letters, and master it, to him will I give my daughter Ascha to wife.	І сказав Халев: хто вразить Кириаф-Сефер і візьме його, тому віддам Ахсу, дочку мою, за дружину.

And Gothoniel the son of Chenez the brother of Chaleb took it; and he gave him Ascha his daughter to wife.	І взяв його Гофониїл, [молодший] син Кеназа, брата Халевового, і віддав він за дружину йому Ахсу, дочку свою.

And it came to pass as she went out that she counselled him, saying, I will ask of my father a field; and she cried from off her ass; and Chaleb said to her, What is it?	Коли належало їй іти, її навчили просити в батька її поле, і вона зійшла з осла. Халев сказав їй: що тобі?

And she said to him, Give me a blessing, for thou hast set me in the land of Nageb; give me Botthanis: and he gave her Gonæthla the upper, and Gonæthla the lower.	Вона сказала: дай мені благословення; ти дав мені землю полуденну, дай мені і джерела вод. І дав він їй джерела верхні і джерела нижні.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Juda.	Ось наділ коліна синів Іудиних, за племенами їх:

And their cities were cities belonging to the tribe of the children of Juda on the borders of Edom by the wilderness, and Bæseleel, and Ara, and Asor,	міста з краю коліна синів Іудиних у суміжності з Ідумеєю на півдні були: Кавцеїл, Едер та Іагур,

and Icam, and Regma, and Aruel,	Кина, Димона, Адада,

and Cades, and Asorionain, and Mænam,	Кедес, Асор та Іфнан,

Asiedoth, and her villages, and her hamlets; Gaza, and its villages and its hamlets as far as the river of Egypt, and the great sea is the boundary.	Азот, залежні від нього міста і села його, Газа, залежні від неї міста і села її, до самого потоку Єгипетського і великого моря, яке є межа.

Cariathbaal, this is the city of Jarim, and Sotheba: two cities, and their villages:	Кириаф-Ваал, інакше Кириаф-Іарим, і Аравва: два міста із їх селами [і передмістями].

And the Jebusite dwelt in Jerusalem, and the children of Juda could not destroy them; and the Jebusites dwelt in Jerusalem to this day.	Але ієвусеян, жителів Єрусалима, не могли вигнати сини Іудини, і тому ієвусеяни живуть із синами Іуди в Єрусалимі навіть до цього дня.
