Chapter 22	Глава 22

1	1
Then Joshua called together the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse,	Тоді Ісус покликав коліно Рувимове, Гадове і половину коліна Манассіїного і сказав їм:

and said to them, Ye have heard all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, and ye have hearkened to my voice in all that he commanded you.	ви виконали все, що повелів вам Мойсей, раб Господній, і слухалися слів моїх в усьому, що я наказував вам;

Ye have not deserted your brethren these many days: until this day ye have kept the commandment of the Lord your God.	ви не залишали братів своїх упродовж багатьох днів до цього дня і виконали, що належало виконати за повелінням Господа, Бога вашого:

And now the Lord our God has given our brethren rest, as he told them: now then return and depart to your homes, and to the land of your possession, which Moses gave you on the other side Jordan.	нині Господь, Бог ваш, заспокоїв братів ваших, як говорив їм; отже, поверніться і підіть у намети ваші, в землю вашого володіння, яку дав вам Мойсей, раб Господній, за Йорданом;

But take great heed to do the commands and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you to do; to love the Lord our God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commands, and to cleave to him, and serve him with all your mind, and with all your soul.	тільки намагайтеся старанно виконувати заповіді і закон, який заповідав вам Мойсей, раб Господній: любити Господа Бога вашого, ходити всіма путями Його, зберігати заповіді Його, приліплятися до Нього і служити Йому всім серцем вашим і всією душею вашою.

And Joshua blessed them, and dismissed them; and they went to their homes.	Потім Ісус благословив їх і відпустив їх, і вони розійшлися по наметах своїх.

And to one half the tribe of Manasse Moses gave a portion in the land of Basan, and to the other half Joshua gave a portion with his brethren on the other side of Jordan westward: and when Joshua sent them away to their homes, then he blessed them.	Одній половині коліна Манассіїного дав Мойсей наділ у Васані, а другій половині його дав Ісус наділ з братами його по цей бік Йордану на захід. І коли відпускав їх Ісус у намети їхні і благословив їх,

And they departed with much wealth to their houses, and they divided the spoil of their enemies with their brethren; very much cattle, and silver, and gold, and iron, and much raiment.	то сказав їм: з великим багатством повертаєтеся ви в намети ваші, з безліччю худоби, зі сріблом, із золотом, з міддю і з залізом, і з безліччю одягу; розділіть же здобич, узяту у ворогів ваших, із братами своїми.

So the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse, departed from the children of Israel in Selo in the land of Chanaan, to go away into Galaad, into the land of their possession, which they inherited by the command of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.	І повернулися, і пішли сини Рувимові і сини Гадові і половина коліна Манассіїного від синів Ізраїлевих із Силома, що в землі Ханаанській, щоб іти в землю Галаад, у землю свого володіння, яку одержали у володіння за повелінням Господнім, даним через Мойсея.

And they came to Galaad of Jordan, which is in the land of Chanaan: and the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to look at.	Прийшовши в околиці Йордану, що в землі Ханаанській, сини Рувимові і сини Гадові і половина коліна Манассіїного спорудили там біля Йордану жертовник, жертовник великий на вигляд.

And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse have built an altar at the borders of the land of Chanaan at Galaad of Jordan, on the opposite side to the children of Israel.	І почули сини Ізраїлеві, що говорять: ось, сини Рувимові і сини Гадові і половина коліна Манассіїного спорудили жертовник на землі Ханаанській, в околицях Йордану, навпроти синів Ізраїлевих.

And all the children of Israel gathered together to Selo, so as to go up and fight against them.	Коли почули це сини Ізраїлеві, то зібралася вся громада синів Ізраїлевих біля Силома, щоб іти проти них війною.
13	13
And the children of Israel sent to the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and to the sons of the half tribe of Manasse into the land of Galaad, both Phinees the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest,	Втім, сини Ізраїлеві перше послали до синів Рувимових і до синів Гадових і до половини коліна Манассіїного в землю Галаадську Финеєса, сина Єлеазара, священика,

and ten of the chiefs with him; there was one chief of every household out of all the tribes of Israel; (the heads of families are the captains of thousands in Israel.)	і з ним десять начальників, по начальнику покоління від усіх колін Ізраїлевих; кожен з них був начальником покоління в тисячах Ізраїлевих.

And they came to the sons of Ruben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasse into the land of Galaad; and they spoke to them, saying,	І прийшли вони до синів Рувимових і до синів Гадових і до половини коліна Манассіїного в землю Галаад і говорили з ними і сказали:
16	16
Thus says the whole congregation of the Lord, What is this transgression that ye have transgressed before the God of Israel, to turn away today from the Lord, in that ye have built for yourselves an altar, so that ye should be apostates from the Lord?	так говорить уся громада Господня: що це за злочин зробили ви перед [Господом] Богом Ізраїлевим, відступивши нині від Господа [Бога Ізраїлевого], спорудивши собі жертовник і повставши нині проти Господа?
17	17
Is the sin of Phogor too little for you, whereas we have not been cleansed from it until this day, though there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord?	Хіба мало для нас беззаконня Фегорового, від якого ми не очистилися до цього дня і за яке вражена була громада Господня?
18	18
And ye have this day revolted from the Lord; and it shall come to pass if ye revolt this day from the Lord, that to-morrow there shall be wrath upon all Israel.	А ви відступаєте сьогодні від Господа! Сьогодні ви повстаєте проти Господа, а завтра прогнівається [Господь] на всю громаду Ізраїлеву;
19	19
And now if the land of your possession be too little, cross over to the land of the possession of the Lord, where the tabernacle of the Lord dwells, and receive ye an inheritance among us; and do not become apostates from God, neither do ye apostatize from the Lord, because of your having built an altar apart from the altar of the Lord our God.	якщо ж земля вашого володіння здається вам нечистою, то перейдіть у землю володіння Господнього, в якій знаходиться скинія Господня, візьміть наділ серед нас, але не повставайте проти Господа і проти нас не повставайте, споруджуючи собі жертовник, крім жертовника Господа, Бога нашого;

Lo! did not Achar the son of Zara commit a trespass taking of the accursed thing, and there was wrath on the whole congregation of Israel? and he himself died alone in his own sin.	чи не один Ахан, син Зари, вчинив злочин, узявши з заклятого, а гнів був на всю громаду Ізраїлеву? не один він умер за своє беззаконня.
21	21
And the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse answered, and spoke to the captains of the thousands of Israel, saying,	Сини Рувимові і сини Гадові і половина коліна Манассіїного у відповідь на це говорили начальникам тисяч Ізраїлевих:
22	22
God even God is the Lord, and God even God himself knows, and Israel he shall know; if we have transgressed before the Lord by apostasy, let him not deliver us this day.	Бог богів Господь, Бог богів Господь, Він знає, і Ізраїль нехай знає! Якщо ми повстаємо і відступаємо від Господа, то нехай не пощадить нас Господь у цей день!
23	23
And if we have built to ourselves an altar, so as to apostatize from the Lord our God, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of whole-burnt-offerings, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of peace-offering,—the Lord shall require it.	Якщо ми спорудили жертовник для того, щоб відступити від Господа [Бога нашого], і для того, щоб приносити на ньому всепалення і приношення хлібне і щоб робити на ньому жертви мирні, то нехай стягне Сам Господь!
24	24
But we have done this for the sake of precaution concerning this thing, saying, Lest hereafter your sons should say to our sons, What have ye to do with the Lord God of Israel?	Але ми зробили це через побоювання, щоб у майбутні часи не сказали ваші сини нашим синам: «що вам до Господа Бога Ізраїлевого!
25	25
Whereas the Lord has set boundaries between us and you, even Jordan, and ye have no portion in the Lord: so your sons shall alienate our sons, that they should not worship the Lord.	Господь поставив межею між нами і вами, сини Рувимові і сини Гадові, Йордан: немає вам частки у Господі». Таким чином ваші сини не допустили б наших синів шанувати Господа.
26	26
And we gave orders to do thus, to build this altar, not for burnt-offerings, nor for meat-offerings;	Тому ми сказали: спорудимо собі жертовник не для всепалення і не для жертв,
27	27
but that this may be a witness between you and us, and between our posterity after us, that we may do service to the Lord before him, with our burnt-offerings and our meat-offerings and our peace-offerings: so your sons shall not say to our sons, hereafter, Ye have no portion in the Lord.	але щоб він між нами і вами, між наступними родами нашими, був свідком, що ми можемо служити Господу всепаленнями нашими і жертвами нашими і подяками нашими, і щоб у майбутній час не сказали ваші сини синам нашим: «немає вам частки у Господі».

And we said, If ever it should come to pass that they should speak so to us, or to our posterity hereafter; then shall they say, Behold the likeness of the altar of the Lord, which our fathers made, not for the sake of burnt-offerings, nor for the sake of meat-offerings, but it is a witness between you and us, and between our sons.	Ми говорили: якщо скажуть так нам і родам нашим у майбутній час, то ми скажемо: бачите подобу жертовника Господа, яку зробили батьки наші не для всепалення і не для жертви, але щоб це було свідком між нами і вами [і між синами нашими].

Far be it from us therefore that we should turn away from the Lord this day so as to apostatize from the Lord, so as that we should build an altar for burnt-offerings, and for peace-offerings, besides the altar of the Lord which is before his tabernacle.	Нехай не буде цього, щоб повстати нам проти Господа і відступити нині від Господа, і спорудити жертовник для всепалення і для приношення хлібного і для жертв, крім жертовника Господа Бога нашого, який перед скинією Його.
30	30
And Phinees the priest and all the chiefs of the congregation of Israel who were with him heard the words which the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse spoke; and it pleased them.	Финеєс священик, [усі] начальники громади і голови тисяч Ізраїлевих, які були з ним, почувши слова, які говорили сини Рувимові і сини Гадові і сини Манассіїні, схвалили їх.

And Phinees the priest said to the sons of Ruben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half of the tribe of Manasse, To-day we know that the Lord is with us, because ye have not trespassed grievously against the Lord, and because ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the Lord.	І сказав Финеєс, син Єлеазара, священик, синам Рувимовим і синам Гадовим і синам Манассіїним: сьогодні ми довідалися, що Господь серед нас, що ви не зробили перед Господом злочину цього; тепер ви визволили синів Ізраїля від руки Господньої.

So Phinees the priest and the princes departed from the children of Ruben, and from the children of Gad, and from the half tribe of Manasse out of Galaad into the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel; and reported the words to them.	І повернувся Финеєс, син Єлеазара, священик, і начальники від синів Рувимових і від синів Гадових [і від половини коліна Манассіїного] у землю Ханаанську до синів Ізраїлевих і принесли їм відповідь.

And it pleased the children of Israel; and they spoke to the children of Israel, and blessed the God of the children of Israel, and told them to go up no more to war against the others to destroy the land of the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse: so they dwelt upon it.	І сини Ізраїлеві схвалили це, і благословили сини Ізраїлеві Бога і не думали більше йти проти них війною, щоб розорити землю, на якій жили сини Рувимові і сини Гадові [і половина коліна Манассіїного].

And Joshua gave a name to the altar of the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and of the half tribe of Manasse; and said, It is a testimony in the midst of them, that the Lord is their God.	І назвали сини Рувимові і сини Гадові [і половина коліна Манассіїного] жертовник: Ед^, тому що, сказали вони*, він свідок між нами, що Господь є Бог наш.
