Chapter 10	Глава 10

1	1
And after Abimelech Thola the son of Phua rose up to save Israel, being the son of his father's brother, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Samir in mount Ephraim.	Після Авимелеха постав для спасіння Ізраїля Фола, син Фуї, сина Додового, з коліна Іссахарового. Він жив у Шамирі на горі Єфремовій.

And he judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Samir.	Він був суддею Ізраїля двадцять три роки, і помер, і похований у Шамирі.

And after him arose Jair of Galaad, and he judged Israel twenty-two years.	Після нього постав Іаїр з Галаада і був суддею Ізраїля двадцять два роки.

And he had thirty-two sons riding on thirty-two colts, and they had thirty-two cities; and they called them Jair's towns until this day in the land of Galaad.	У нього було тридцять [два] сини, які їздили на тридцятьох [двох] молодих ослах, і тридцять [два] міста було в них; до цього дня їх називають селищами Іаїра, що в землі Галаадській.

And Jair died, and was buried in Rhamnon.	І помер Іаїр і був похований у Камоні.

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Astaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Phylistines; and they forsook the Lord, and did not serve him.	Сини Ізраїлеві продовжували чинити зле перед очима Господа і служили Ваалу й Астарті, і богам арамейським, і богам сидонським, і богам моавитським, і богам аммонитським, і богам филистимським; а Господа залишили і не служили Йому.

And the Lord was very angry with Israel, and sold them into the hand of the Phylistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon.	І запалав гнів Господа на Ізраїля, і Він віддав їх у руки филистимлян і в руки аммонитян;

And they afflicted and bruised the children of Israel at that time eighteen years, all the children of Israel beyond Jordan in the land of the Amorite in Galaad.	вони утискували і мучили синів Ізраїлевих з того року вісімнадцять років, усіх синів Ізраїлевих по той бік Йордану в землі Аморрейській, що у Галааді.

And the children of Ammon went over Jordan to fight with Juda, and Benjamin, and with Ephraim; and the children of Israel were greatly afflicted.	Нарешті аммонитяни перейшли Йордан, щоб вести війну з Іудою і Веніаміном і з домом Єфремовим. І дуже тісно було синам Ізраїля.

And the children of Israel cried to the Lord, saying, We have sinned against thee, because we have forsaken God, and served Baalim.	І воззвали сини Ізраїлеві до Господа, і говорили: згрішили ми перед Тобою, тому що залишили Бога нашого і служили Ваалу.

And the Lord said to the children of Israel, Did I not save you from Egypt and from the Amorite, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Phylistines,	І сказав Господь синам Ізраїлевим: чи не пригнічували вас єгиптяни, й аморреяни, й аммонитяни, і филистимляни,

and from the Sidonians, and Amalec, and Madiam, who afflicted you? and ye cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand?	і сидоняни, й амаликитяни, і моавитяни, і коли ви взивали до Мене, чи не спасав Я вас від рук їх?

Yet ye forsook me and served other gods; therefore I will not save you any more.	А ви залишили Мене і стали служити іншим богам; за те Я вже не буду спасати вас:

Go, and cry to the gods whom ye have chosen to yourselves, and let them save you in the time of your affliction.	підіть, взивайте до богів, яких ви обрали, нехай вони спасають вас у скрутний для вас час.

And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We have sinned: do thou to us according to all that is good in thine eyes; only deliver us this day.	І сказали сини Ізраїлеві Господу: згрішили ми; роби з нами все, що Тобі завгодно, тільки визволи нас нині.
16	16
And they put away the strange gods from the midst of them, and served the Lord only, and his soul was pained for the trouble of Israel.	І відкинули від себе чужих богів і стали служити [тільки] Господу. І не потерпіла душа Його страждання Ізраїлевого.

And the children of Ammon went up, and encamped in Galaad; and the children of Israel were gathered together and encamped on the hill.	Аммонитяни зібралися і розташувалися станом біля Галаада; зібралися також сини Ізраїлеві і стали станом у Массифі.
18	18
And the people the princes of Galaad said every man to his neighbour, Who is he that shall begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall even be head over all that dwell in Galaad.	Народ і князі галаадські сказали одне одному: хто почне війну проти аммонитян, той буде начальником над усіма жителями галаадськими.
