| And he began to speak unto them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a pit for the winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country. | (Зач. 53) І нача́т їм в при́тчах глаго́лати: виногра́д насади́ челові́к, і огради́ опло́том, і іскопа́ точи́ло, і созда́ столп, і предаде́ єго́ тяжа́телем [ді́лателем], і оти́де. |

| And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. | І посла́ к тяжа́телем во вре́м'я раба́, да от тяжа́тель при́йметь от плода́ виногра́да; |

| But they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. | они́ же є́мше єго́ би́ша і отосла́ша тща. |
|

| And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. | І па́ки посла́ к ним друга́го раба́; і того́ ка́менієм би́вше, проби́ша главу́ єму́ і посла́ша безче́стна. |
|

| And again he sent another; and him they killed: and many others; beating some, and killing some. | І па́ки іно́го посла́, і того́ уби́ша; і мно́гі і́ни, о́ви у́бо бію́ще, о́ви же убива́юще. |
|

| Having yet therefore one son, his well-beloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. | Єще́ у́бо єди́наго си́на імі́ возлю́бленнаго своєго́, посла́ і того́ к ним посліди́, глаго́ля, я́ко усрам'я́ться си́на моєго́. |

| But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. | О́ні же тяжа́теле рі́ша к себі́: я́ко сей єсть наслі́дник, прийді́те, убіє́м єго́, і на́ше бу́деть наслі́дствіє. |

| And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard. | І є́мше єго́ уби́ша і ізверго́ша єго́ вон із виногра́да. |
|

|
| What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. | Что у́бо сотвори́ть госпо́дь виногра́да? При́йдеть і погуби́ть тяжа́телі і дасть виногра́д іні́м. |
|

|
| Have ye not read even this scripture: The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; | Ні Писа́нія ли сего́ чли єсте́: ка́мень, єго́же не в ряду́ сотвори́ша зи́ждущії, сей бисть во главу́ у́гла: |

| This was from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes? | от Го́спода бисть сіє́, і єсть ди́вно во о́чію на́шею? |

| And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spake the parable against them: and they left him, and went away. | І іска́ху Єго́ я́ти, і убоя́шася наро́да, разумі́ша бо, я́ко к ним при́тчу рече́; і оста́вльше Єго́ отидо́ша. |

| And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they might catch him in talk. | (Зач. 54) І посла́ша к Нему́ ні́кия от фарисе́й і іродіа́н, да Єго́ обольстя́ть сло́вом. |

| And when they were come, they say unto him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and carest not for anyone; for thou regardest not the person of men, but of a truth teachest the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? Shall we give, or shall we not give? | Они́ же прише́дше глаго́лаша Єму́: Учи́телю, ві́ми, я́ко і́стинен єси́ і не ради́ши ні о ко́мже: не зри́ши бо на лице́ челові́ков, но воі́стину путі́ Бо́жию учи́ши; досто́їть ли кинсо́н ке́сареві да́ти, іли́ ні? Да́ми ли, іли́ не да́ми? |

| But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it. | Он же ві́дий їх лицемі́ріє, рече́ ім: что М'я іскуша́єте? Принесі́те Мі пі́нязь, да ви́жу. |
|

|
| And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar’s. | Они́ же принесо́ша. І глаго́ла їм: чий о́браз сій і написа́ніє? Они́ же рі́ша Єму́: ке́сарев. |
|

| And Jesus answered and said unto them, Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s. And they marveled at him. | І отвіща́в Ісу́с рече́ їм: воздаді́те ке́сарева ке́сареві і Бо́жия Бо́гові. І чуди́шася о Нем. |

| And there come unto him Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying, | (Зач. 55) І прийдо́ша саддуке́є к Нему́, і́же глаго́лють воскресе́нію не би́ти; і вопроси́ша Єго́, глаго́люще: |

| Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave a wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. | Учи́телю, Моїсе́й написа́ нам, я́ко а́ще кому́ брат у́мреть і оста́вить жену́, а чад не оста́вить, да по́йметь брат єго́ жену́ єго́ і воскреси́ть сі́м'я бра́ту своєму́. |

| There were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed; | Се́дьм бра́тій бі: і пе́рвий поя́т жену́ і умира́я не оста́ви сі́мене; |

| and the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed; and the third likewise: | і втори́й поя́т ю і у́мре, і ні той оста́ви сі́мене; і тре́тій тако́жде; |
|

|
| and the seven took her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died. | і поя́ша ю седьм і не оста́виша сі́мене; посліди́ же всіх у́мре і жена́. |
|

| In the resurrection, when they shall rise again, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. | В воскресе́ніє у́бо, єгда́ воскре́снуть, кото́рому їх бу́деть жена́? Седьм бо імі́ша ю жену́. |
|

| And Jesus answered and said unto them, Is it not for this cause that ye err, that ye know not the scriptures, nor the power of God? | І отвіща́в Ісу́с рече́ їм: не сего́ ли ра́ди прельща́єтеся, не ві́дуще Писа́нія, ні си́ли Бо́жия? |

| For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels that are in heaven. | Єгда́ бо із ме́ртвих воскре́снуть, ні же́няться, ні посяга́ють, но суть я́ко а́нгели на небесі́х; |

|
| But as touching the dead, that they are raised; have ye not read in the book of Moses, in the place concerning the Bush, how God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? | о ме́ртвих же, я́ко востаю́ть, ні́сте ли чли в кни́гах Моїсе́йових, при купині́ я́ко рече́ єму́ Бог, глаго́ля: Аз Бог Авраа́мов, і Бог Ісаа́ков, і Бог Іа́ковль? |

| He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. | Ність Бог ме́ртвих, но Бог живи́х; ви у́бо мно́го прельща́єтеся. |

| And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? | (Зач. 56) І присту́пль єди́н от кни́жник, сли́шав їх стяза́ющихся і ви́дів, я́ко до́брі отвіща́ їм, вопроси́ Єго́: ка́я єсть пе́рвая всіх за́повідій? |

| And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: | Ісу́с же отвіща́ єму́: я́ко пе́рвійши всіх за́повідій: сли́ши, Ізра́їлю, Госпо́дь Бог ваш Госпо́дь єди́н єсть; |

| and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. | і возлю́биши Го́спода Бо́га твоєго́ всім се́рдцем твої́м, і все́ю душе́ю твоє́ю, і всім умо́м твої́м, і все́ю крі́постію твоє́ю, — сія́ єсть пе́рвая за́повідь. |

| And a second like it is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. | І втора́я подо́бна єй: возлю́биши бли́жняго своєго́, я́ко сам себе́. Бо́льшая сею́ і́на за́повідь ність. |

| And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he: | І рече́ Єму́ кни́жник: до́брі, Учи́телю, воі́стину рекл єси́, я́ко єди́н єсть Бог, і ність ін ра́зві Єго́; |

| and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. | і є́же люби́ти Єго́ всім се́рдцем, і всім ра́зумом, і все́ю душе́ю, і все́ю крі́постію; і є́же люби́ти бли́жняго я́ко себе́, бо́лі єсть всіх всесожже́ній і жертв. |

| And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. | Ісу́с же ви́дів, я́ко сми́сленно отвіща́, рече́ єму́: не дале́че єси́ от Ца́рствія Бо́жия. І нікто́же смі́яше ктому́ Єго́ вопроси́ти. |

| And Jesus answered and said, as he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Christ is the son of David? | І отвіща́в Ісу́с глаго́лаше, учя́ в це́ркві: ка́ко глаго́лють кни́жници, я́ко Христо́с Син єсть Дави́дов? |

| for David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord saith unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. | Той бо Дави́д рече́ Ду́хом Святи́м: глаго́ла Госпо́дь Го́сподеві моєму́: сіди́ о десну́ю Мене́, до́ндеже положу́ враги́ Твоя́ подно́жіє нога́ма Твої́ма. |

| David himself therefore calleth him Lord; and whence is he his son? And the common people heard him gladly. | Сам у́бо Дави́д глаго́леть Єго́ Го́спода: і отку́ду Син єму́ єсть? І мног наро́д послу́шаше Єго́ в сла́дость. |

| And he said unto them in his teaching, Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and to have salutations in the marketplaces, | (Зач. 57) І глаго́лаше їм во уче́ніії Своє́м: блюді́теся от кни́жник, хотя́щих во одія́ніїх ходи́ти, і цілова́нія на то́ржищих, |

| and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts: | і преждесіда́нія на со́нмищих, і первовозлежа́нія на ве́черях: |
|

|
| they that devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers; these shall receive greater condemnation. | пояда́юще до́ми вдови́ць і непщева́нієм надо́лзі моля́щеся, сі́ї при́ймуть ли́шшеє осужде́ніє. |
|

| And Jesus sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. | І сід Ісу́с пря́мо сокро́вищному храни́лищу, зря́ше, ка́ко наро́д ме́щеть мідь в сокро́вищноє храни́лище. І мно́зі бога́тії вмета́ху мно́га. |

| And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make a penny. | І прише́дши єди́на вдови́ця убо́га, вве́рже ле́пті дві, є́же єсть кодра́нт. |
|

| And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow hath cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury: | І призва́в ученики́ Своя́, рече́ їм: амі́нь глаго́лю вам, я́ко вдови́ця сія́ убо́гая мно́жає всіх вве́рже вмета́ющих в сокро́вищноє храни́лище, |

| for they all did cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. | всі бо от ізби́тка своєго́ вверго́ша, сія́ же от лише́нія своєго́ вся, єли́ка імі́яше, вве́рже, все житіє́ своє́. |
