| ΚΑΙ υἱοὶ Ρουβὴν πρωτοτόκου ᾿Ισραήλ, ὅτι οὖτος ὁ πρωτότοκος, καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀναβῆναι ἐπὶ τὴν κοίτην τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἔδωκε τὴν εὐλογίαν αὐτοῦ τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ ᾿Ιωσὴφ υἱῷ ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ οὐκ ἐγενεαλογήθη εἰς πρωτοτόκια· | And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but because of his going up to his father's couch, his father gave his blessing to his son Joseph, even the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as first-born; |

| ὅτι ᾿Ιούδας δυνατὸς ἰσχύϊ καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐξ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ εὐλογία τοῦ ᾿Ιωσήφ. | for Judas was very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing was Joseph's). |

| υἱοὶ Ρουβὴν πρωτοτόκου ᾿Ισραήλ· ᾿Ενὼχ καὶ Φαλλούς, ᾿Ασρὼμ καὶ Χαρμί. | The sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi. |

| υἱοὶ ᾿Ιωήλ· Σεμεΐ καὶ Βαναία υἱὸς αὐτοῦ. καὶ υἱοὶ Γοὺγ υἱοῦ Σεμεΐ· | The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei. |

| υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Μιχά, υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ρηχά, υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ᾿Ιωήλ, | His son was Micha, his son Recha, his son Joel, |

| υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Βεήλ, ὃν μετῴκισε Θαγλαθφαλλασὰρ βασιλεὺς ᾿Ασσούρ· οὗτος ἄρχων τῶν Ρουβήν. | his son Beël, whom Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria carried away captive: he is the chief of the Rubenites. |

| καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ τῇ πατρίδι αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς καταλοχισμοῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν· ὁ ἄρχων ᾿Ιωὴλ καὶ Ζαχαρία | And his brethren in his family, in their distribution according to their generations; the chief, Joel, and Zacharia. |

| καὶ Βαλὲκ υἱὸς ᾿Αζοὺζ υἱὸς Σαμά, υἱὸς ᾿Ιωήλ· οὗτος κατῴκησεν ἐν ᾿Αροὴρ καὶ ἐπὶ Ναβαῦ, καὶ Βελμασσὼν | And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he dwelt in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson. |

| καὶ πρὸς ἀνατολὰς κατῴκησεν ἕως ἐρχομένων τῆς ἐρήμου, ἀπὸ τοῦ ποταμοῦ Εὐφράτου, ὅτι κτήνη αὐτῶν πολλὰ ἐν γῇ Γαλαάδ. | And he dwelt eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad. |

| καὶ ἐν ἡμέραις Σαοὺλ ἐποίησαν πόλεμον πρὸς τοὺς παροίκους, καὶ ἔπεσον ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν κατοικοῦντες ἐν σκηναῖς αὐτῶν πάντες κατ᾿ ἀνατολὰς τῆς Γαλαάδ. | And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners in the land; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad. |

| υἱοὶ Γὰδ κατέναντι αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν γῇ Βασὰν ἕως Σελχά. | The sons of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Basan even to Sela. |

| ᾿Ιωὴλ πρωτότοκος καὶ Σαφὰμ ὁ δεύτερος, καὶ ᾿Ιανὶν ὁ γραμματεὺς ἐν Βασάν. | Joel the first-born, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan. |
|

| καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν· Μιχαήλ, Μοσολλὰμ καὶ Σεβεὲ καὶ ᾿Ιωρεὲ καὶ ᾿Ιωαχὰν καὶ Ζουέ, καὶ ᾿Ωβήδ, ἑπτά. | And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven. |

| οὗτοι υἱοὶ ᾿Αβιχαία υἱοῦ Οὐρὶ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιδαΐ υἱοῦ Γαλαὰδ υἱοῦ Μιχαὴλ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιεσαΐ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιεδδαΐ υἱοῦ Ζαβουχὰμ | These are the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz, |

| ἀδελφοῦ υἱοῦ ᾿Αβδιὴλ υἱοῦ Γουνί· ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν. | who was the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, he was chief of the house of their families. |

| κατῴκουν ἐν Γαλαάδ, ἐν Βασὰν καὶ ἐν ταῖς κώμαις· αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ περίχωρα Σαρὼν ἕως ἐξόδου. | They dwelt in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and in all the country round about Saron to the border. |

| πάντων ὁ καταλοχισμὸς ἐν ἡμέραις ᾿Ιωάθαμ βασιλέως ᾿Ιούδα καὶ ἐν ἡμέραις ῾Ιεροβοὰμ βασιλέως ᾿Ισραήλ. | The enumeration of them all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel. |

| υἱοὶ Ρουβὴν καὶ Γὰδ καὶ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσῆ ἐξ υἱῶν δυνάμεως, ἄνδρες αἴροντες ἀσπίδας καὶ μάχαιραν καὶ τείνοντες τόξον καὶ δεδιδαγμένοι πόλεμον, τεσσαράκοντα καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐκπορευόμενοι εἰς παράταξιν. | The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, were forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle. |

| καὶ ἐποίουν πόλεμον μετὰ τῶν ᾿Αγαρηνῶν καὶ ᾿Ιτουραίων καὶ Ναφισαίων καὶ Ναδαβαίων | And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans, |

| καὶ κατίσχυσαν ἐπ᾿ αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐδόθησαν εἰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν οἱ ᾿Αγαραῖοι καὶ πάντα τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτῶν, ὅτι πρὸς τὸν Θεὸν ἐβόησαν ἐν τῷ πολέμῳ, καὶ ἐπήκουσεν αὐτοῖς, ὅτι ἤλπισαν ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν. | and they prevailed against them: and the Agaræans were given into their hands, they and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he hearkened to them, because they trusted on him. |

| καὶ ᾐχμαλώτευσαν τὴν ἀποσκευὴν αὐτῶν, καμήλους πεντακισχιλίας καὶ προβάτων διακοσίας πεντήκοντα χιλιάδας, ὄνους δισχιλίους καὶ ψυχὰς ἀνδρῶν ἑκατὸν χιλιάδας· | And they took captive their store; five thousand camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men. |

| ὅτι τραυματίαι πολλοὶ ἔπεσον, ὅτι παρὰ τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ πόλεμος. καὶ κατῴκησαν ἀντ᾿ αὐτῶν ἕως τῆς μετοικεσίας. | For many fell slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity. |

| καὶ ἡμίσεις φυλῆς Μανασσῆ κατῴκησαν ἐν τῇ γῇ ἀπὸ Βασὰν ἕως Βαὰλ ᾿Ερμὼν καὶ Σανὶρ καὶ ὄρος ᾿Αερμών· καὶ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ αὐτοὶ ἐπλεονάσθησαν. | And the half-tribe of Manasse dwelt from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and to the mount Aërmon: and they increased in Libanus. |

| καὶ οὗτοι ἀρχηγοὶ οἴκου πατριῶν αὐτῶν· ᾿Οφὲρ καὶ Σεΐ καὶ ᾿Ελιὴλ καὶ ῾Ιερμία καὶ ᾿Ωδουΐα καὶ ᾿Ιεδιήλ, ἄνδρες ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί, ἄρχοντες τῶν οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν. | And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families. |

| καὶ ἠθέτησαν ἐν Θεῷ πατέρων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπόρνευσαν ὀπίσω θεῶν τῶν λαῶν τῆς γῆς, οὓς ἐξῇρεν ὁ Θεὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν. | But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a-whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them. |

| καὶ ἐπήγειρεν ὁ Θεὸς ᾿Ισραὴλ τὸ πνεῦμα Φαλὼχ βασιλέως ᾿Ασσοὺρ καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα Θαγλαθφαλλασὰρ βασιλέως ᾿Ασσούρ, καὶ μετῴκισε τὸν Ρουβὴν καὶ τὸν Γαδδὶ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσῆ καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς Χαλὰχ καὶ Χαβὼρ καὶ ἐπὶ ποταμὸν Γωζὰν ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης. | And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half-tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day. |

| καὶ υἱοὶ Καάθ· ῎Αμβραμ καὶ ᾿Ισσάαρ, Χεβρὼν καὶ ᾿Οζιήλ. | And the sons of Caath; Ambram, and Issaar, Chebron, and Oziel. |

| καὶ υἱοὶ ῎Αμβραμ· ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ Μαριάμ. καὶ υἱοὶ ᾿Ααρών· Ναδὰβ καὶ ᾿Αβιούδ, ᾿Ελεάζαρ καὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ. | And the sons of Ambram; Aaron, and Moses, and Mariam: and the sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abiud, Eleazar, and Ithamar. |

| ᾿Ελεάζαρ ἐγέννησε τὸν Φινεές, Φινεὲς ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αβισού, | Eleazar begot Phinees, Phinees begot Abisu; |

| ᾿Αβισοὺ ἐγέννησε τὸν Βωκαΐ, Βωκαΐ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Οζί, | Abisu begot Bokki, and Bokki begot Ozi; |

| ᾿Οζὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ζαραία, Ζαραία ἐγέννησε τὸν Μαριὴλ | Ozi begot Zaraia, Zaraia begot Mariel; |

| καὶ Μαριὴλ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αμαρία, καὶ ᾿Αμαρία ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιτώβ, | and Mariel begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob; |

| καὶ ᾿Αχιτὼβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιμάας, | and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Achimaas; |

| καὶ ᾿Αχιμάας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν, καὶ ᾿Αζαρίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Ιωανάν, | and Achimaas begot Azarias, and Azarias begot Joanan; |

| καὶ ᾿Ιωανὰν ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν· οὗτος ἱεράτευσεν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ, ᾧ ᾠκοδόμησε Σαλωμὼν ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλήμ. | and Joanan begot Azarias: he ministered as priest in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem. |

| καὶ ἐγέννησεν ᾿Αζαρίας τὸν ᾿Αμαρία, καὶ ᾿Αμαρία ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιτώβ, | And Azarias begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob; |

| καὶ ᾿Αχιτὼβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαλώμ, | and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Salom; |

| καὶ Σαλὼμ ἐγέννησε τὸν Χελκίαν, καὶ Χελκίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν, | and Salom begot Chelcias, and Chelcias begot Azarias; |

| καὶ ᾿Αζαρίας ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαραία, καὶ Σαραίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Ιωσαδάκ, | and Azarias begot Saraia, and Saraias begot Josadac. |

| καὶ ᾿Ιωσαδὰκ ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ μετοικεσίᾳ μετὰ ᾿Ιούδα καὶ ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ ἐν χειρὶ Ναβουχοδονόσορ. | And Josadac went into captivity with Juda and Jerusalem under Nabuchodonosor. |
