Chapter 11
1
1
Бё же нёкто болS лaзарь t виfaніи, t вeси марjины и3 мaрfы сестры2 є3S. | Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha. |
2
2
| Бё же марjа помaзавшаz гDа мЂромъ и3 њтeршаz н0зэ є3гw2 власы6 свои1ми, є3sже брaтъ лaзарь болsше. | And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. |
3
3
| The sisters therefore sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. |
4
4
| Слhшавъ же ї}съ речE: сіS болёзнь нёсть къ смeрти, но њ слaвэ б9іи, да прослaвитсz сн7ъ б9ій є3S рaди. | But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby. |
5
5
| Люблsше же ї}съ мaрfу и3 сестрY є3S и3 лaзарz. | Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. |
6
6
| Е#гдa же ўслhша, ћкw боли1тъ, тогдA пребhсть на нeмже бЁ мёстэ двA дни6. | When therefore he heard that he was sick, he abode at that time two days in the place where he was. |
7
7
| Then after this he saith to the disciples, Let us go into Judea again. |
8
8
| Глаг0лаша є3мY ўчн7цы2: раввJ, нн7э и3скaху тебE кaменіемъ поби1ти їудeє, и3 пaки ли и4деши тaмw; | The disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? |
9
9
| TвэщA ї}съ: не двa ли нaдесzте час† є3стA во дни2; ѓще кто2 х0дитъ во дни2, не п0ткнетсz, ћкw свётъ мjра сегw2 ви1дитъ: | Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. |
10
10
| But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him. |
11
11
| Сі‰ речE, и3 посeмъ гlа и5мъ: лaзарь дрyгъ нaшъ ќспе: но и3дY, да возбужY є3го2. | These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. |
12
12
| His disciples therefore said, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover. |
13
13
| Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep. |
14
14
| ТогдA речE и5мъ ї}съ не њбинyzсz: лaзарь ќмре: | Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. |
15
15
| и3 рaдуюсz вaсъ рaди, да вёруете, ћкw не бёхъ тaмw: но и4демъ къ немY. | And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. |
16
16
| Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. |
17
17
| So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already. |
18
18
| Бё же виfaніа бли1з8 їеrли1ма ћкw стaдій пzтьнaдесzть, | Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off; |
19
19
2. | and many of the Jews had come the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother. |
20
20
| Мaрfа u5бо є3гдA ўслhша, ћкw ї}съ грzдeтъ, срёте є3го2: марjа же д0ма сэдsше. | Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary still sat in the house. |
21
21
| Речe же мaрfа ко ї}су: гDи, ѓще бы є3си2 здЁ бhлъ, не бы2 брaтъ м0й ќмерлъ: | Martha therefore said unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. |
22
22
| But even now I know that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God will give thee. |
23
23
| Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. |
24
24
| Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. |
25
25
| Речe (же) є4й ї}съ: ѓзъ є4смь воскRшeніе и3 жив0тъ: вёруzй въ мS, ѓще и3 ќмретъ, њживeтъ: | Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live; |
26
26
Y; | and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this? |
27
27
| She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I have believed that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, even he that cometh into the world. |
28
28
S. | And when she had said these things, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is here, and calleth thee. |
29
29
| Nнa (же) ћкw ўслhша, востA ск0рw и3 и4де къ немY. | She, when she heard it, arose quickly, and goeth unto him. |
30
30
| (Now Jesus was not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.) |
31
31
| Їудeє (же) u5бо сyщіи съ нeю въ домY и3 ўтэшaюще ю5, ви1дэвше марjю, ћкw ск0рw востA и3 и3зhде, по нeй и3д0ша, глаг0люще, ћкw и4детъ на гр0бъ, да плaчетъ тaмw. | The Jews then who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the tomb to weep there. |
32
32
| Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. |
33
33
| Ї}съ u5бо, ћкw ви1дэ ю5 плaчущусz и3 пришeдшыz съ нeю їудє1и плaчущz, запрети2 д¦у, и3 возмути1сz сaмъ, | When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, |
34
34
| and said, Where have ye laid him? They say unto him, Lord, come and see. |
35
35
| Прослези1сz ї}съ. | Jesus wept. |
36
36
2. | The Jews therefore said, Behold how he loved him! |
37
37
| Нёцыи же t ни1хъ рёша: не можaше ли сeй, tвeрзый џчи слэп0му, сотвори1ти, да и3 сeй не ќмретъ; | But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die? |
38
38
| Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it. |
39
39
Глаг0ла є3мY сестрA ўмeршагw мaрfа: гDи, ўжE смерди1тъ: четвероднeвенъ бо є4сть. | Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been dead four days. |
40
40
| Гlа є4й ї}съ: не рёхъ ли ти2, ћкw ѓще вёруеши, ќзриши слaву б9ію; | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God? |
41
41
S: | So they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me. |
42
42
| ѓзъ же вёдэхъ, ћкw всегдA мS послyшаеши: но нар0да рaди стоsщагw w4крестъ рёхъ, да вёру и4мутъ, ћкw ты2 мS послaлъ є3си2. | And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me. |
43
43
| И# сі‰ рeкъ, глaсомъ вели1кимъ воззвA: лaзаре, грzди2 в0нъ. | And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. |
44
44
2. | And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. |
45
45
2: | Many therefore of the Jews, who came to Mary and beheld the things which Jesus did, believed on him. |
46
46
| But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done. |
47
47
м7.) Собрaша u5бо ґрхіерeє и3 фарісeє с0нмъ, и3 глаг0лаху: что2 сотвори1мъ; ћкw чlвёкъ сeй мнHга знaмєніz твори1тъ: | The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs. |
48
48
| ѓще њстaвимъ є3го2 тaкw, вси2 ўвёруютъ въ него2: и3 пріи1дутъ ри1млzне, и3 в0змутъ мёсто и3 kзhкъ нaшъ. | If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation. |
49
49
| Е#ди1нъ же нёкто t ни1хъ каіaфа, ґрхіерeй сhй лёту томY, речE и5мъ: вы2 не вёсте ничесHже, | But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, |
50
50
| nor do ye consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. |
51
51
| СегH же њ себЁ не речE: но ґрхіерeй сhй лёту томY, проречE, ћкw хотsше ї}съ ўмрeти за лю1ди, | Now this he said not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation; |
52
52
| and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad. |
53
53
2. | So from that day forth they took counsel together that they might put him to death. |
54
54
| Ї}съ же ктомY не ћвэ хождaше во їудeехъ, но и4де tтyду во странY бли1з8 пустhни, во є3фрeмъ нарицaемый грaдъ, и3 тY хождaше со ўчн7ки6 свои1ми. | Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed thence into the country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim; and there he tarried with his disciples. |
55
55
| Бё же бли1з8 пaсха їудeйска, и3 взыд0ша мн0зи во їеrли1мъ t стрaнъ прeжде пaсхи, да њчи1стzтсz. | Now the passover of the Jews was at hand: and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the passover, to purify themselves. |
56
56
| И#скaху u5бо ї}са, и3 глаг0лаху къ себЁ, въ цeркви стоsще: что2 мни1тсz вaмъ, ћкw не и4мать ли пріити2 въ прaздникъ; | They sought therefore for Jesus, and spake one with another, as they stood in the temple, What think ye? That he will not come to the feast? |
57
57
2. | Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him. |
