Chapter 9

1
A. And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth.
2
2
И# вопроси1ша є3го2 ўчн7цы2 є3гw2, глаг0люще: раввJ, кто2 согрэши2, сeй ли, и3ли2 роди1тєлz є3гw2, ћкw слёпъ роди1сz; And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?
3
3
TвэщA ї}съ: ни сeй согрэши2, ни роди1тєлz є3гw2, но да kвsтсz дэлA б9іz на нeмъ: Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4
4
мнЁ подобaетъ дёлати дэлA послaвшагw мS, д0ндеже дeнь є4сть: пріи1детъ н0щь, є3гдA никт0же м0жетъ дёлати: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5
5
When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6
6
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7
7
И$де u5бо, и3 ўмhсz, и3 пріи1де ви1дz. and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8
8
The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9
9
Others said, It is he: and others, He is like him. He said, I am he.
10
10
They said therefore unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
11
11
TвэщA џнъ и3 речE: чlвёкъ нарицaемый ї}съ брeніе сотвори2, и3 помaза џчи мои2, и3 речe ми: и3ди2 въ купёль сілwaмлю и3 ўмhйсz. He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went away and washed, and I received sight.
12
12
They said therefore unto him, Where is he? He saith, I know not.
13
13
They bring to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
14
14
Now it was the sabbath when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15
15
Пaки же вопрошaху є3го2 и3 фарісeє, кaкw прозрЁ. Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.
16
16
Џвіи глаг0лаху: кaкw м0жетъ человёкъ грёшенъ сицєв† знaмєніz твори1ти; И# рaспрz бЁ въ ни1хъ. Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them.
17
17
They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, in that he opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
18
18
Не ћша u5бо вёры їудeє њ нeмъ, ћкw слёпъ бЁ и3 прозрЁ, д0ндеже возгласи1ша роди1тєлz тогw2 прозрёвшагw The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight,
19
19
и3 вопроси1ша |, глаг0люще: сeй ли є4сть сhнъ вaю, є3г0же вы2 глаг0лете, ћкw слёпъ роди1сz; кaкw u5бо нн7э ви1дитъ; and asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
20
20
Tвэщaста (же) и5мъ роди1тєлz є3гw2 и3 рёста: вёмы, ћкw сeй є4сть сhнъ нaю и3 ћкw слёпъ роди1сz: And his parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
21
21
кaкw же нн7э ви1дитъ, не вёмы: и3ли2 кто2 tвeрзе є3мY џчи, мы2 не вёмы: сaмъ в0зрастъ и4мать, самого2 вопроси1те, сaмъ њ себЁ да глаг0летъ. but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him; he shall speak for himself.
22
22
These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
23
23
Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
24
24
So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.
25
25
He therefore answered and said, Whether he is a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
26
26
Рёша же є3мY пaки: что2 сотвори2 тебЁ; кaкw tвeрзе џчи твои2; And they said unto him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27
27
TвэщA и5мъ: рек0хъ вaмъ ўжE, и3 не слhшасте: что2 пaки х0щете слhшати; є3дA и3 вы2 ўчн7цы2 є3гw2 х0щете бhти; He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear; wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples?
28
28
2: They reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.
29
29
We know that God hath spoken unto Moses: but as for this man, we know not whence he is.
30
30
2: The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is a marvel, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he opened mine eyes.
31
31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.
32
32
Since the world began it was never heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind.
33
33
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.
34
34
They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
35
35
Ўслhша ї}съ, ћкw и3згнaша є3го2 в0нъ: и3 њбрётъ є3го2, речE є3мY: ты2 вёруеши ли въ сн7а б9іz; Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and finding him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36
36
2; He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?
37
37
And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and he it is that speaketh with thee.
38
38
Y. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him.
39
39
And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.
40
40
2; And those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said unto him, Are we also blind?
41
41
РечE и5мъ ї}съ: ѓще бhсте слёпи бhли, не бhсте и3мёли грэхA: нн7э же глаг0лете, ћкw ви1димъ: грёхъ u5бо вaшъ пребывaетъ. Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye would have no sin: but now ye say, We see: therefore your sin remaineth.
