|
Thus said the Lord God of Israel; Take the cup of this unmixed wine from mine hand, and thou shalt cause all the nations to drink, to whom I send thee.
|
Слово, яке було від Господа до Єремії у десятий рік Седекії, царя Юдейського; цей рік був вісімнадцятим роком Навуходоносора.

And they shall drink, and vomit, and be mad, because of the sword which I send among them.
|
Тоді військо царя Вавилонського облягало Єрусалим, і Єремія пророк був ув’язнений у дворі сторожі, який був при домі царя Юдейського.

|
So I took the cup out of the Lord's hand, and caused the nations to whom the Lord sent me to drink:
|
Седекія, цар Юдейський, ув’язнив його туди, сказавши: «навіщо ти пророкуєш і говориш: так говорить Господь: ось, Я віддаю місто це у руки царя Вавилонського, і він візьме його;

|
Jerusalem, and the cities of Juda, and the kings of Juda, and his princes, to make them a desert place, a desolation, and a hissing;
|
і Седекія, цар Юдейський, не уникне рук халдеїв, але неодмінно відданий буде у руки царя Вавилонського, і буде говорити з ним устами до вуст, і очі його побачать очі його;
|

|
and Pharao king of Egypt, and his servants, and his nobles, and all his people;
|
і він відведе Седекію у Вавилон, де він і буде, доки не відвідаю його, — говорить Господь. Якщо ви будете воювати з халдеями, то не будете мати успіху?»
|
|

|
and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ascalon, and Gaza, and Accaron, and the remnant of Azotus,
|
І сказав Єремія: таке було до мене слово Господнє:
|
|

|
and Idumea, and the land of Moab, and the children of Ammon,
|
ось Анамеїл, син Саллума, дядька твого, йде до тебе сказати: «купи собі поле моє, яке в Анафофі, тому що за правом родинним тобі слід купити його».
|

|
|
and the kings of Tyre, and the kings of Sidon, and the kings in the country beyond the sea,
|
Й Анамеїл, син дядька мого, прийшов до мене, за словом Господнім, у двір сторо́жі і сказав мені: «купи поле моє, яке в Анафофі, у землі Веніаміновій, тому що право спадщини твоє і право викупу твоє; купи собі». Тоді я дізнався, що це було слово Господнє.

and Dædan, and Thæman, and Ros, and every one that is shaved round about the face,
|
І купив я поле в Анамеїла, сина дядька мого, яке в Анафофі, і відважив йому сім сиклів срібла і десять срібників;
|

|
and all the mingled people lodging in the wilderness,
|
і записав у книгу і запечатав її, і запросив для цього свідків і відважив срібло на терезах.
|
|

|
|
and all the kings of Ælam, and all the kings of the Persians,
|
І взяв я купчий запис, як запечатаний за законом і уставом, так і відкритий;
|
|

|
12
|
|
and all the kings from the north, the far and the near, each one with his brother, and all the kingdoms which are on the face of the earth.
|
і віддав цей купчий запис Варуху, синові Нирії, сина Маасеї, на очах Анамеїла, сина дядька мого, і на очах свідків, які підписали цей купчий запис, на очах усіх юдеїв, які сиділи на дворі сторо́жі;
|

And thou shalt say to them, Thus said the Lord Almighty; Drink ye, be ye drunken; and ye shall vomit, and shall fall, and shall in nowise rise, because of the sword which I send among you.
|
і заповів Варуху в присутності їх:
|
|

|
|
And it shall come to pass, when they refuse to take the cup out of thine hand, to drink it, that thou shalt say, Thus said the Lord; Ye shall surely drink.
|
так говорить Господь Саваоф, Бог Ізраїлів: візьми ці записи, цей купчий запис, який запечатаний, і цей запис відкритий, і поклади їх у глиняну посудину, щоб вони залишалися там багато днів.

|
For I am beginning to afflict the city whereon my name is called, and ye shall by no means be held guiltless: for I am calling a sword upon all that dwell upon the earth.
|
Бо так говорить Господь Саваоф, Бог Ізраїлів: доми і поля і виноградники будуть знову купуватися у землі цій.
|

|
And thou shalt prophesy against them these words, and shalt say, The Lord shall speak from on high, from his sanctuary he will utter his voice; he will pronounce a declaration on his place; and these shall answer like men gathering grapes: and destruction is coming on them that dwell on the earth,
|
І, передавши купчий запис Варуху, синові Нирії, я помолився Господу:

|
even upon the extreme part of the earth; for the Lord has a controversy with the nations, he is pleading with all flesh, and the ungodly are given to the sword, saith the Lord.
|
«о, Господи Боже! Ти створив небо і землю великою силою Твоєю і простягнутою правицею; для Тебе нічого немає неможливого;
|
|

|
|
Thus said the Lord; Behold, evils are proceeding from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind goes forth from the end of the earth.
|
Ти являєш милість тисячам і за беззаконня батьків відплачуєш у надро дітям їхнім після них: Боже великий, сильний, Якому ім’я Господь Саваоф!
|

|
And the slain of the Lord shall be in the day of the Lord from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth.
|
Великий у раді і сильний у ділах, Якого очі відкриті на усі путі синів людських, щоб відплачувати кожному за путями його і за плодами діл його,
|

|
|
Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and lament, ye rams of the flock: for your days have been completed for slaughter, and ye shall fall as the choice rams.
|
Який звершив чудеса і знамення у землі Єгипетській, і звершуєш до цього дня і в Ізраїлі і між усіма людьми, і сотворив Собі ім’я, як у цей день,
|

|
|
And flight shall perish from the shepherds, and safety from the rams of the flock.
|
і вивів народ Твій Ізраїля із землі Єгипетської знаменнями і чудесами, і рукою сильною і правицею простягнутою, при великому жаху,
|
|
36
|
22
|
|
A voice of the crying of the shepherds, and a moaning of the sheep and the rams: for the Lord has destroyed their pastures.
|
і дав їм землю цю, яку дати їм клятвено обіцяв батькам їхнім, землю, яка тече молоком і медом.
|
|
37
|

|
|
And the peaceable abodes that remain shall be destroyed before the fierceness of my anger.
|
Вони ввійшли і заволоділи нею, але не стали слухати гласу Твого і не чинили за законом Твоїм, не стали робити того, що Ти заповів їм робити, і за те Ти навів на них усі ці біди.

|
He has forsaken his lair, as a lion: for their land is become desolate before the great sword.
|
Ось, насипи досягають міста, щоб узяти його; і місто від меча і голоду і моровиці віддається у руки халдеїв, які воюють проти нього; що Ти говорив, те і сповнюється, і ось, Ти бачиш це.
