Chapter 12	Глава 12

And Mariam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses took; for he had taken an Ethiopian woman.	І дорікали Маріам і Аарон Мойсею за дружину ефіоплянку, яку він узяв, — тому що він узяв за себе ефіоплянку, —

And they said, Has the Lord spoken to Moses only? has he not also spoken to us? and the Lord heard it.	і сказали: чи одному Мойсеєві говорив Господь? чи не говорив Він і нам? І почув це Господь.

And the man Moses was very meek beyond all the men that were upon the earth.	Мойсей же був чоловік найлагідніший з усіх людей на землі.

And the Lord said immediately to Moses and Aaron and Mariam, Come forth all three of you to the tabernacle of witness.	І сказав Господь раптово Мойсею й Аарону і Маріамі: вийдіть ви троє до скинії зібрання. І вийшли всі троє.

And the three came forth to the tabernacle of witness; and the Lord descended in a pillar of a cloud, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and Mariam were called; and both came forth.	І зійшов Господь у хмарному стовпі, і став біля входу в скинію, і покликав Аарона і Маріам, і вийшли вони обоє.

And he said to them, Hear my words: If there should be of you a prophet to the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.	І сказав: слухайте слова Мої: якщо буває у вас пророк Господній, то Я відкриваюся йому у видінні, уві сні говорю з ним;

My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all my house.	але не так з рабом Моїм Мойсеєм, — він вірний у всьому домі Моїм:

I will speak to him mouth to mouth apparently, and not in dark speeches; and he has seen the glory of the Lord; and why were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?	вустами до вуст говорю Я з ним, і явно, а не в гаданнях, і образ Господа він бачить; як же ви не убоялися дорікати рабу Моєму, Мойсеєві?

And the great anger of the Lord was upon them, and he departed.	І запалав гнів Господа на них, і Він відійшов.

And the cloud departed from the tabernacle; and, behold, Mariam was leprous, white as snow; and Aaron looked upon Mariam, and, behold, she was leprous.	І хмара відійшла від скинії, і ось, Маріам вкрилася проказою, як снігом. Аарон глянув на Маріам, і ось, вона у проказі.

And Aaron said to Moses, I beseech thee, my lord, do not lay sin upon us, for we were ignorant wherein we sinned.	І сказав Аарон Мойсеєві: господарю мій! не постав нам за гріх, що ми вчинили нерозумно і згрішили;

Let her not be as it were like death, as an abortion coming out of his mother's womb, when the disease devours the half of the flesh.	не попусти, щоб вона була, як мертвонароджена дитина, в якої, коли вона виходить із утроби матері своєї, зотліла уже половина тіла.

And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heal her.	І звернувся Мойсей до Господа, говорячи: Боже, зціли її!

And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be ashamed seven days? let her be set apart seven days without the camp, and afterwards she shall come in.	І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: якби батько її плюнув їй у лице, то чи не повинна була б вона соромитися сім днів? отже, нехай буде вона у проказі сім днів поза станом, а після знову повернеться.

And Mariam was separated without the camp seven days; and the people moved not forward till Mariam was cleansed.	І пробула Маріам у проказі поза станом сім днів, і народ не вирушав у путь, доки не повернулася Маріам.

And afterwards the people set forth from Aseroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Pharan.
