И$ бысть по гл~анїи се'мъ, бг~ъ и^скђшаше а^враама. и^ рече къ немђ`, а^врааме, а^врааме, се'й же рече с^е а^зъ.
And it came to pass after these things that God tempted Abraam, and said to him, Abraam, Abraam; and he said, Lo! I am here.

и^ рече, поими` сн~а свое^го възлю'бленнаго, е^гоy възлюби` и^саака, і^ и^ди` на землю высо'кђ, и^ възведи` и& тамо въ тре'бђ, на е^ди'нђ эT го'ръ ю'же ти покажђ`”
And he said, Take thy son, the beloved one, whom thou hast loved—Isaac, and go into the high land, and offer him there for a whole-burnt-offering on one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Въставъ же заё%тра а^враамъ, ѓ^сњдла ѓ^сля свое, и^ поя` съ собо'ю дв^а раба, і^ и^саака сн~а свое^го, і^ и^сцњпи'въ дрова тре'бњ. и^ въставъ по'иде и^ прїиде на мњ'сто, на не'же бњ е^мђ реклъ б~ъ, въ тре'тїи дн~ь
And Abraam rose up in the morning and saddled his ass, and he took with him two servants, and Isaac his son, and having split wood for a whole-burnt-offering, he arose and departed, and came to the place of which God spoke to him,

и^ възрњ'въ а^враамъ ѓ^чи'ма ё^зрњ мњ'сто и^здале'че,
on the third day; and Abraam having lifted up his eyes, saw the place afar off.

и^ рече а^враамъ рабо'ма свои'ма, ся'дњта тђ съ ѓ^сля'темъ, а%зъ же и^ дњтищь до'идевњ до ѓ%нде, и^ поклони'вшася възврати'мъся къ вамъ”
And Abraam said to his servants, Sit ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will proceed thus far, and having worshipped we will return to you.

Взя' же а^враамъ дрова тре'б#ная, и^ задњ и^саакђ сн~ђ свое^мђ” взя' же и^ ѓ'гнь в рђ'кђ, и^ но'жь, і^ и^до'ста ѓ%ба въ кђ'пњ”
And Abraam took the wood of the whole-burnt-offering, and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took into his hands both the fire and the knife, and the two went together.

И$ рече и^саакъ къ а^враамђ эTц~ђ свое^мђ, эTч~е, ѓ^нже рече чт^о е^сть чадо. с^е ѓ%гнь и^ дрова`, гдњжъ е^сть ѓ^вча на тре'бђ.
And Isaac said to Abraam his father, Father. And he said, What is it, son? And he said, Behold the fire and the wood, where is the sheep for a whole-burnt-offering?

и^ рече а^враамъ, б~ъ да ё^зритъ себњ ѓ^вча е^же на тре'бђ чадо. і^ и^до'ша ѓ%ба кђпно,
And Abraam said, God will provide himself a sheep for a whole-burnt-offering, my son. And both having gone together,

прїидо'ста на мњ'сто, на не'же бњ е^мђ ре'клъ б~ъ. и^ създа т^ђ а^врааM тре'бникъ, и^ възложи` дрова и^ связа и^саака сн~а свое^го, и^ възложи` на требникъ, връхђ дро'въ” И$зъся
came to the place which God spoke of to him; and there Abraam built the altar, and laid the wood on it, and having bound the feet of Isaac his son together, he laid him on the altar upon the wood.

же' а^враамъ рђкђ свою`, взя'ти но'жь да зако'леT сн~а свое^го.
And Abraam stretched forth his hand to take the knife to slay his son.

и^ възва и& а^гг~лъ гн~ь съ нб~си и^ реq, а^врааме а^врааме, се'й же рече с^е а^зъ,
And an angel of the Lord called him out of heaven, and said, Abraam, Abraam. And he said, Behold, I am here.

и^ рече не възложи` рђки твое'я на ѓ^тро'чищъ, н^и сътвори` е^мђ ничтоже. нн~њ бо разђмXњ, ја^ко бои'шися т^ы б~а, и^ не пощадњ сн~а свое^го люби'маго мене` ради.
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the child, neither do anything to him, for now I know that thou fearest God, and for my sake thou hast not spared thy beloved son.

И$ възрњвъ а^врааM ѓ^чима свои'ма и^ ё^зрњ, и^ с^е ѓ^ве'нъ е^ди'нъ ё^вязе` по' рогъ в садњ саве'ковњ, і^ и'де а^враамъ и^ поя` ѓ^веn, и^ положи тре'бђ въ и^саака мњ'сто сн~а свое^го.
And Abraam lifted up his eyes and beheld, and lo! a ram caught by his horns in a plant of Sabec; and Abraam went and took the ram, and offered him up for a whole-burnt-offering in the place of Isaac his son.

и^ прозва а^враамъ и%мя мњстђ томђ г~ь видњ`, и^ да рекђт'ъ и^ до днsе на горњ г~ь ја%ви'ся”
And Abraam called the name of that place, The Lord hath seen; that they might say to-day, In the mount the Lord was seen.

И$ възва а^гг~лъ гн~ь второ'е а^враама эT нб~си гл~я,
And an angel of the Lord called Abraam the second time out of heaven,

собо'ю кляXся г~леT г~ь, поне'же сътвориl е^си с^е, и%же не пощадњ сн~а свое^го, люби'маго мене` ра'ди.
saying, I have sworn by myself, says the Lord, because thou hast done this thing, and on my account hast not spared thy beloved son,
17

тњ'мже блгsвя блгsвлю тя, и^ мно'жа ё^мно'жђ сњ'мя твое`, ја^ко звњ'зды нбsныя, и^ ја%ко пњ'сокъ по краю мо'рскђ. и^ прїи'метъ сњмя твое грады сђпостатъ,
surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is by the shore of the sea, and thy seed shall inherit the cities of their enemies.

и^ блгsвя'тся ѓ^ сњ'мени твоемъ вс^и ја^зы'цы земнїи, и^же послђш'алъ е^си гласа мое^го”
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast hearkened to my voice.

И$ възврати'ся а^враа'мъ къ рабо'ма свои'ма, и^ въста'вше ѓ^тыдо'ша, къ кладязю клятвеномђ, и^ всели'ся а^враа'мъ ё^ кла'дязя клятвенаго”
And Abraam returned to his servants, and they arose and went together to the well of the oath; and Abraam dwelt at the well of the oath.

Бысть же по гл~анїи семъ, повњ'даша а^враа'мђ гл~ющи, с^е роди` ме'лха и^ та сн~ы бра'тђ твое^мђ нахо'рђ,
And it came to pass after these things, that it was reported to Abraam, saying, Behold, Melcha herself too has born sons to Nachor thy brother,

ѓ%ћъ пръвене'цъ, и^ ва'ћа. брата е^го и^ камђе^ля эTц~а си'рска,
Uz the first-born, and Baux his brother, and Camuel the father of the Syrians, and Chazad, and

и хаза'да, и^ наза'ва, и^ фалдаса и^ е^лдафа, и^ ваџђи'ля” ваџђ'ил
Azav and Phaldes, and Jeldaph, and Bathuel, and Bathuel begot Rebecca;

же роди реве'кђ. ѓ^смь сїи сн~овъ ја%же роди` ме'лха нахо'рђ братђ а'враа'млю”
these are eight sons, which Melcha bore to Nachor the brother of Abraam.

И$ зало'жница е^го, е^йже и%мя реи'ма, роди` и^ с^и таве'ка, таа^ма, и^ тохо'за, и^ мо'ха”
And his concubine whose name was Rheuma, she also bore Tabec, and Taam, and Tochos, and Mocha.
