And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but because of his going up to his father's couch, his father gave his blessing to his son Joseph, even the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as first-born;	Сини Рувима, первістка Ізраїлевого, — він первісток; але, коли осквернив він постіль батька свого, первородство його віддане синам Йосифа, сина Ізраїлевого, з тим однак же, щоб не писатися їм первородними;

for Judas was very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing was Joseph's).	тому що Іуда був найсильнішим із братів своїх, і вождь від нього, але першість перенесена на Йосифа.

The sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi.	Сини Рувима, первістка Ізраїлевого: Ханох, Фаллу, Хецрон і Харми.

The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei.	Сини Іоїля: Шемая, син його; його син Гог, його син Шимей,

And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he dwelt in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson.	і Бела, син Азаза, сина Шеми, сина Іоїля. Він жив в Ароері до Нево і Ваал-Меона;

And he dwelt eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad.	а на сход він жив до входу в пустелю, що йде від ріки Євфрату, тому що стада їх були численні в землі Галаадській.

And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners in the land; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad.	У дні Саула вони вели війну з агарянами, які впали від рук їх, а вони стали жити в наметах і по всьому східному боці Галаада.

The sons of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Basan even to Sela.	Сини Гада жили навпроти них у землі Васанській до Салхи:

Joel the first-born, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan.	у Васані Іоїль був головний, Шафан другий, потім Іаанай і Шафат.

And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven.	Братів їхніх з родинами їхніми було сім: Михаїл, Мешуллам, Шева, Іорай, Іаакан, Зия та Евер.

These are the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz,	Ось сини Авихаїла, сина Хурія, сина Іароаха, сина Галаада, сина Михаїла, сина Ієшишая, сина Іахдо, сина Буза.

who was the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, he was chief of the house of their families.	Ахи, син Авдиїла, сина Гунієвого, був главою свого роду.

They dwelt in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and in all the country round about Saron to the border.	Вони жили в Галааді, у Васані й у залежних від нього містах і у всіх околицях Сарона, до виходу їх.

The enumeration of them all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.	Усі вони перераховані у дні Іоафама, царя Юдейського, й у дні Ієровоама, царя Ізраїльського.

The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, were forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle.	У нащадків Рувима і Гада і половини племені Манассіїного було людей войовничих, чоловіків, які носять щит і меч, які стріляють з лука і навчені до битви, сорок чотири тисячі сімсот шістдесят, які виходять на війну.

And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans,	І воювали вони з агарянами, Ієтуром, Нафишем і Надавом.

and they prevailed against them: and the Agaræans were given into their hands, they and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he hearkened to them, because they trusted on him.	І надана була їм допомога проти них, і віддані були в руки їхні агаряни й усе, що в них було, тому що вони під час битви воззвали до Бога, і Він почув їх, за те, що вони уповали на Нього.

And they took captive their store; five thousand camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men.	І взяли вони стада їхні: верблюдів п’ятдесят тисяч, із дрібної худоби двісті п’ятдесят тисяч, ослів дві тисячі, і сто тисяч душ людей,

For many fell slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity.	тому що багато впало убитими, оскільки від Бога була битва ця. І жили вони на місці їхньому до переселення.

And the half-tribe of Manasse dwelt from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and to the mount Aërmon: and they increased in Libanus.	Нащадки половини коліна Манассіїного жили в тій землі, від Васана до Ваал-Ермона і Сенира і до гори Ермона; і їх було багато.

And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families.	І ось глави поколінь їх: Ефер, Іш’ї, Елиїл, Азриїл, Єремія, Годавія й Іагдиїл, мужі могутні, мужі вельможні, глави родів своїх.

But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a-whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them.	Але коли вони згрішили проти Бога батьків своїх і стали блудно ходити услід богам народів тієї землі, яких вигнав Бог від лиця їх,

And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half-tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day.	тоді Бог Ізраїлів збудив дух Фула, царя Ассирійського, і дух Феглафелласара, царя Ассирійського, і він виселив рувимлян і гадитян і половину коліна Манассіїного, і відвів їх у Халах, і Хавор, і Ару, і на ріку Гозан, — де вони до цього дня.

And the sons of Caath; Ambram, and Issaar, Chebron, and Oziel.

And the sons of Ambram; Aaron, and Moses, and Mariam: and the sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abiud, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

Eleazar begot Phinees, Phinees begot Abisu;

Abisu begot Bokki, and Bokki begot Ozi;

Ozi begot Zaraia, Zaraia begot Mariel;

and Mariel begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob;

and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Achimaas;

and Achimaas begot Azarias, and Azarias begot Joanan;

and Joanan begot Azarias: he ministered as priest in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem.

And Azarias begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob;

and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Salom;

and Salom begot Chelcias, and Chelcias begot Azarias;

and Azarias begot Saraia, and Saraias begot Josadac.

And Josadac went into captivity with Juda and Jerusalem under Nabuchodonosor.
