| then the Lord spoke to Esaias the son of Amos, saying, Go and take the sackcloth off thy loins, and loose thy sandals from off thy feet, and do thus, going naked and barefoot. | у той самий час Господь сказав Ісаї, синові Амосовому, так: піди і зніми веретище зі стегон твоїх і скинь сандалії твої з ніг твоїх. Він так і зробив: ходив нагий і босий. |

| And the Lord said, As my servant Esaias has walked naked and barefoot three years, there shall be three years for signs and wonders to the Egyptians and Ethiopians; | І сказав Господь: як раб Мій Ісая ходив нагий і босий три роки, на вказівку і знамення про Єгипет і Ефіопію, |

| for thus shall the king of the Assyrians lead the captivity of Egypt and the Ethiopians, young men and old, naked and barefoot, having the shame of Egypt exposed. | так поведе цар Ассирійський полонених з Єгипту і переселенців з Ефіопії, молодих і старих, нагими і босими і з оголеними стегнами, для посоромлення Єгипту. |

| And the Egyptians being defeated shall be ashamed of the Ethiopians, in whom they had trusted; for they were their glory. | Тоді жахнуться і засоромляться через Ефіопію, надію свою, і через Єгипет, яким хвалилися. |

| And they that dwell in this island shall say in that day, Behold, we trusted to flee to them for help, who could not save themselves from the king of the Assyrians: and how shall we be saved? | І скажуть у той день жителі цієї країни: ось які ті, на яких ми надіялися і до яких зверталися по допомогу, щоб урятуватися від царя Ассирійського! і як урятувалися б ми? |
