Chapter 14	Глава 14

1	1
But him that is weak in faith receive ye, yet not for decision of scruples.	Hемічного у вірі приймайте без суперечок про погляди.

One man hath faith to eat all things: but he that is weak eateth herbs.	Бо один вірить, що можна їсти все, а немічний їсть овочі.

Let not him that eateth set at nought him that eateth not; and let not him that eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.	Хто їсть, не зневажай того, хто не їсть; і хто не їсть, не осуджуй того, хто їсть, тому що Бог прийняв його.

Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own lord he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be made to stand; for God is able to make him stand.	Хто ти, що осуджуєш чужого раба? Перед своїм Господом стоїть він або падає. І буде поставлений, бо Господь має силу поставити його.

One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.	Один відрізняє день від дня, а інший судить про всякий день однаково. Кожен роби за свідченням свого розуму.

He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, unto the Lord he regardeth it not. And he that eateth, eateth unto the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, unto the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.	Хто розрізняє дні, для Господа розрізняє; і хто не розрізняє днів, для Господа не розрізняє. Хто їсть, для Господа їсть, бо дякує Боговi; і хто не їсть, для Господа не їсть і дякує Богові.

For none of us liveth to himself, and none dieth to himself.	Бо ніхто з нас не живе для себе і ніхто не вмирає для себе;

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; or whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.	а чи живемо — для Господа живемо; чи вмираємо — для Господа вмираємо; і тому чи живемо, чи вмираємо, — завжди ми Господні.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.	Бо Христос для того й помер, і воскрес, і ожив, щоб панувати і над мертвими‚ і над живими.

But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or thou again, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.	А ти чого осуджуєш брата твого? Або й ти, чого зневажаєш брата твого? Усі ми станемо перед судом Христовим.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God.	Бо написано: «Живу Я, — говорить Господь, — переді Мною схилиться усяке коліно, і всякий язик буде сповідувати Бога».

So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.	Отже, кожен з нас дасть за себе відповідь Богові.

Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion of falling.	Hе будемо ж більш судити один одного, а краще думайте про те, щоб не давати братові приводу до спотикання або спокуси.
14	14
I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: save that to him who accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.	Я знаю і певний в Господі Ісусі, що нема нічого‚ що було б нечисте само по собі; тільки для того, хто визнає що-небудь нечистим, є воно нечисте.

But if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.	Коли ж через їжу засмучується брат твій, то ти вже не з любови дієш. Hе губи твоєю їжею того, за кого Христос помер.

Let not then your good be evil spoken of:	Hехай не ганьбиться ваше добре.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.	Бо Царство Боже — не їжа і питво, але праведність, і мир, і радість у Святому Духові.
18	18
For he that in these things serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.	Хто цим служить Христу, той угодний Богові і гідний схвалення від людей.
19	19
So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.	Отже, будемо шукати те, що служить мирові і взаємному повчанню.

Overthrow not for meat’s sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean; howbeit it is evil for that man who eateth with offense.	Заради їжі не руйнуй діла Божого. Усе чисте, але лихо чоловікові, котрий їсть для спокуси.
21	21
It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is weak.	Краще не їсти м’яса, не пити вина і не чинити нічого такого, від чого брат твій спотикається, або спокушається, або знемагає.

Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that judgeth not himself in that which he approveth.	Ти маєш віру? Май її сам у собі, перед Богом. Блаженний, хто не осуджує себе в тому, що вибирає.

But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.	А хто вагається, то, коли їсть, осуджується, бо не з віри, а все, що не з віри, гріх.

Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal,	Тому ж, Хто може вас утвердити за моїм благовістям і проповіддю Ісуса Христа, за одкровенням тайни, про яку від вічних часів було замовчано,

but now is manifested, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known unto all the nations unto obedience of faith:	але яка нині явлена і через пророчі писання, за велінням вічного Бога, сповіщена усім народам для підкорення їх вірі,

to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever. Amen.	Єдиному премудрому Богові, через Ісуса Христа, слава навіки. Амінь.
