| Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, | Павло, раб Ісуса Христа, покликаний апостол, обраний для благовістя Божого, |

| which he promised afore through his prophets in the holy scriptures, | яке Бог раніше обіцяв через пророків Своїх, у Писаннях святих, |

| concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, | про Сина Свого, котрий народився від сімені Давидового по плоті |
|

|
| who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord, | і відкрився Сином Божим у силі, духом святости, через воскресіння з мертвих, — про Ісуса Христа Господа нашого, |
|

|
| through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name’s sake; | через Якого ми одержали благодать і апостольство, щоб в ім’я Його підкоряти вірі всі народи, |

| among whom are ye also, called to be Jesus Christ’s: | серед яких знаходитесь і ви, покликані Ісусом Христом, — |

|
| to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. | усім, що перебувають у Римі, улюбленим Божим, покликаним святим: благодать вам і мир від Бога Отця нашого і Господа Ісуса Христа. |

| First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. | Перш за все дякую Богові моєму через Ісуса Христа за всіх вас, що віра ваша звіщається по всьому світові. |

| For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, | Свідок мені Бог, Якому служу духом моїм у благовістуванні Сина Його, — що безперестанно згадую про вас, |

| always in my prayers making request, if by any means now at length I may be prospered by the will of God to come unto you. | завжди благаючи в молитвах моїх‚ щоб воля Божа посприяла коли-небудь прийти мені до вас‚ |

| For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; | бо я дуже бажаю побачити вас, щоб дати вам певний духовний дар для вашого утвердження, |

|
| that is, that I with you may be comforted in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. | тобто втішитися з вами спільною вірою, вашою і моєю. |

|
| And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the Gentiles. | Hе хочу, браття, від вас таїти, що я багаторазово намагався прийти до вас‚ та досі зустрічав перешкоди, щоб мати який-небудь плід і у вас, як і в інших народів. |

| I am debtor both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. | Я заборгував еллінам і варварам, мудрецям і неукам. |

| So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also that are in Rome. | Отже, щодо мене, я готовий благовістити і вам, що знаходитесь у Римі. |
|

|
| For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. | Бо я не соромлюсь благовістя Христового, тому що воно є сила Божа для спасіння всякому віруючому, спочатку юдею, потім і еллінові. |

| For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith. | У ньому відкривається правда Божа з віри у віру, як написано: «Праведний вірою живий буде». |

| For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; | Бо відкривається гнів Божий з неба на всяке нечестя і неправду людей, які придушують істину неправдою. |
|

| because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. | Бо, що можна знати про Бога, явне для них, тому що Бог явив їм. |
|

| For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: | Бо невидиме Його, вічна сила Його і Божество, від створення світу через розглядання творіння видимі, так що нема їм виправдання. |

| because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. | А оскільки вони, пізнавши Бога, не прославили Його як Бога і не подякували, а заметушилися в своїх мудруваннях, і затьмарилося нерозумне їхнє серце; |

| Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, | називаючи себе мудрими, збожеволіли |

| and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. | і славу нетлінного Бога змінили на подобу образу тлінної людини, і птахів, і чотириногих, і гадів, — |

| Wherefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: | тому й віддав їх Бог у похотях сердець їхніх у нечистоту, щоб вони самі сквернили свої тіла. |

| for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. | Вони замінили істину Божу неправдою і поклонялися, і служили тварі замість Творця, Який благословенний повіки, амінь. |

| For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: | За це і віддав їх Бог ганебним пристрастям: жінки їхні замінили природне єднання на протиприродне; |

| and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due. | так само і чоловіки, облишивши природне єднання з жіночою статтю, розпалювалися похіттю своєю один до одного, чоловіки на чоловіках сором чинячи, одержуючи в собі самих належну відплату за свій блуд. |

| And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; | А що вони не вважали за потрібне мати Бога в розумі, то Бог віддав їх перекрученому розумові — чинити неподобства, |

| being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, | так що вони сповнені всякої неправди, блуду, лукавства, користолюбства, злоби, сповнені заздрости, вбивства, чвар, лестощів, лихих звичаїв, |

| backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, | обмовники, наклепники, богоненависники, кривдники, самохвали, гордовиті, винахідливі на зло, непокірні батькам, |

| without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: | безрозсудні, непримиренні, нелюбовні, клятвопорушні, немилостиві. |
|

|
| who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practice them. | Вони знають праведний суд Божий, що хто чинить так, вартий смерти; однак не тільки самі таке роблять, але й тим, що роблять, сприяють. |
