Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practice the same things.
|
Отже, нема тобі виправдання, всякий чоловіче, що судиш іншого; бо тим же судом, яким судиш іншого, осуджуєш себе, чиниш бо те саме й ти‚ що судиш.

|
And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practice such things.
|
А ми знаємо, що воістину є суд Божий на тих, хто чинить таке.
|

|
And reckonest thou this, O man, who judgest them that practice such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
|
Hевже думаєш ти, чоловіче, що, засуджуючи тих, хто чинить таке‚ і роблячи те саме‚ ти втечеш від суду Божого?
|

|
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
|
Або зневажаєш багатство Його милосердя, лагідности і довготерпіння, не розуміючи, що милосердя Боже веде тебе до покаяння?
|

|
but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation and the righteous judgment of God;
|
Але‚ через жорстокість твою і нерозкаяність серця, ти сам собі збираєш гнів на день гніву і об’явлення праведного суду від Бога,
|

|
who will render to every man according to his works:
|
Який воздасть кожному за вчинками його:
|
|

|
to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life:
|
тим, які терпінням у доброму ділі шукають слави, чести й нетління, — життя вічне;
|
|

|
|
but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be indignation and wrath,
|
а тим, що впираються і не підкоряються істині, але віддаються неправдi‚ — лютість і гнів.

|
|
tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;
|
Скорбота і утиск на всяку душу людини, яка чинить зло, спершу юдея, потім і елліна!
|

|
|
but glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:
|
Слава ж і честь і мир усякому, хто робить добро, спершу юдею, потім і елліну!

|
for there is no respect of persons with God.
|
Бо Бог не дивиться на особу.
|
|

|
|
For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law;
|
Ті, які, не маючи закону, згрішили, поза законом і загинуть; а ті, які у законі згрішили, за законом будуть засуджені‚
|
|

|
|
for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;
|
бо не слухачі закону праведні перед Богом, але виконавці закону виправдані будуть,
|
|

|

|
|
(for when Gentiles that have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are the law unto themselves;
|
бо коли язичники, що не мають закону, з природи законне чинять, вони, не маючи закону, самі собі закон:
|
|

|

|
|
in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness therewith, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing them);
|
вони показують, що справа закону написана у них в серцях, про що свідчить їхня совість і думки їхні, які то звинувачують, то виправдовують одна одну‚

|
in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel, by Jesus Christ.
|
у той день, коли, за моїм благовістям, Бог буде судити таємні діла людей через Ісуса Христа.

|
Behold, thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,
|
Ось ти звешся юдеєм, і заспокоюєш себе законом, і хвалишся Богом,

|
and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
|
і знаєш волю Його, і розумієш те, що краще, навчаючись із закону,

|
and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
|
і певний у собі, що ти провідник сліпих, світло для тих, що в темряві,
|
|

|
|
a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;
|
наставник нерозумних, учитель дітей, той, що має в законі взірець знання і правди:
|
|

|
|
thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
|
як же ти, навчаючи іншого, не навчаєш самого себе?
|
|

|
|
thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou rob temples?
|
Проповідуючи не красти, крадеш? Кажучи: не перелюбствуй, перелюбствуєш, гидуючи ідолами, святотатствуєш?

|
thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonorest thou God?
|
Хвалишся законом, а, порушуючи закон, Бога безчестиш?
|
|

|
|
For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.
|
Бо, як написано, «через вас ім’я Боже ганьблять язичники».
|
|

|
|
For circumcision indeed profiteth, if thou be a doer of the law: but if thou be a transgressor of the law, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.
|
Обрізання корисне, коли виконуєш закон; а коли ти порушник закону, то обрізання твоє стало необрізанням.

|
|
If therefore the uncircumcision keep the ordinances of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision?
|
Отже, коли необрізаний дотримується постанови закону, то його необрізання чи не зарахується йому за обрізання?

|
and shall not the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge thee, who with the letter and circumcision art a transgressor of the law?
|
І необрізаний із природи, який виконує закон, чи не осудить тебе, порушника закону з Писанням і обрізанням?

|
|
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:
|
Бо не той юдей, хто має такий вигляд, і не те обрізання, що зовні, на тілi;
|
|

|
|
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
|
але той юдей, хто в душi такий, і те обрізання, яке в серці, за духом, а не за буквою: йому і похвала не від людей, але від Бога.
