But the famine prevailed in the land.

And it came to pass, when they had finished eating the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, that their father said to them, Go again; buy us a little food.
|
и^ бысть е^гда скоnча'ша пшени'цђ ја%дђщ'е, ю%же принесо'ша и^зъ е^гљ=пта, рече же и^м# эTц~ъ и^хъ пакы и^дњте кђ'пите наM пища ма'ло”

|
And Judas spoke to him, saying, The man, the lord of the country, positively testified to us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, unless your younger brother be with you.
|
И$ рече е^мђ і^ё^да гл~я послђш'аемъ ё^крњпи` наs под кля'твою мђжь гн~ь гл~я, не јави'те ми ся преD лицемъ, а%ще браT вашъ мнїи не прїидетъ с ва'ми
|

|
If, then, thou send our brother with us, we will go down, and buy thee food;
|
и^ а%ще л^и по'слеши брата нашего с на'ми т^о и%демъ кђпи'ти тебњ` пи'ща
|
|

|
|
but if thou send not our brother with us, we will not go: for the man spoke to us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, unless your younger brother be with you.
|
а%ще л^и не по'слеши брата нашего с на'ми, т^о не и'деM” Мђжъ б^о реq наM гл~я нњсть вамъ ви'дњти лица мое^го, а^ще братъ вашъ мнїи не прїидетъ с ва'ми”

|
And Israel said, Why did ye harm me, inasmuch as ye told the man that ye had a brother?
|
И$ рече і^и^л~ь чт^о ја%ко зло сътвори'сте ми, повњда'вше мђж'ђ ја%ко есть намъ братъ.
|
|

|
|
And they said, The man closely questioned us about our family also, saying, Does your father yet live, and have ye a brother? and we answered him according to this question: did we know that he would say to us, Bring your brother?
|
сїи же рњша въпраша'я въпроси` насъ мQђ и^ рода нашего гл~я, и^ еще` л^и эTц~ъ вашъ жиv е^сть, и^ есть ли вамъ братъ повњдахомъ е^мђ по въпро'сђ семђ`, и^л^и вњдяхомъ ја%ко речетъ намъ приведи'те брата вашего,

|
And Judas said to his father Israel, Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and thou, and our store.
|
и^ рече же і^ё%да къ і^и^л~ю эTц~ђ свое^мђ, пђсти` ѓ^тро'чища съ мно'ю и^ въста'вше да и'демъ и^ да живи бђдемъ, а^ не ё%мреM и^ мы` и^ т^ы, и^ вс^е и^мњ'нїе наше

|
And I engage for him; at my hand do thou require him; if I bring him not to thee, and place him before thee, I shall be guilty toward thee for ever.
|
аZ же възмђ` е^го, и^ эT рђкђ` мое'ю възы'щи` е^го” А/ще не приведђ е^го к тебњ`, и^ поставлю и& предъ тобо'ю, грњшенъ бђдђ к тебњ вс^я дн^и.
|

|
For if we had not tarried, we should now have returned twice.
|
а%ще б^о бы'хоM не ё^ме'длили, възврати'лися быхомъ два'жды”

|
And Israel, their father, said to them, If it be so, do this; take of the fruits of the earth in your vessels, and carry down to the man presents of gum and honey, and frankincense, and stacte, and turpentine, and walnuts.
|
Рече же и^мъ і^и^л~ь эTц~ъ и^хъ, а%ще та'ко е^сть, сътвори'те възмњте эT плода` земнаh въ сосђды своя` и^ донеси'те мђжђ даr смо'лђ, медъ, и^ џимїама і^ и^ста'кти, и^ теревїиџђ і^ ѓ^рњ'хїю

|
|
And take double money in your hands, and the money that was returned in your sacks, carry back with you, lest peradventure it is a mistake.
|
и^ сребро` сђгђ'бо възмњте в рђцњ свои`” Сребро` е^же ѓ^брњтеся въ вре'тищихъ ва'шихъ, ѓ^брати'те съ собо'ю, е^да` съблазнъ е^сть,
|

|
|
And take your brother; and arise, go down to the man.
|
и^ бра'та своего по'имњте, и^ въста'вше и^дњте къ мђжђ
|
|

|
|
And my God give you favour in the sight of the man, and send away your other brother, and Benjamin, for I accordingly as I have been bereaved, am bereaved.
|
б~ъ же мои да'сть вамъ блгDть прDе мђжемъ да эTпђ'ститъ бра'та вашего е^ді'наго, и^ венїами'на а%зъ бесча'денъ быхъ и^ бесча'денъ бђдђ.

|
And the men having taken these presents, and the double money, took in their hands also Benjamin; and they rose up and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.
|
Въземше же мђжи да'ры, и^ сребро` сђгђ'бое въ рђцњ свои`, и^ венїамина, и^ въста'вше прїидо'ша въ е^гљ=пеT и^ ста'ша прDе і^ѓ'сифомъ,
|

|
|
And Joseph saw them and his brother Benjamin, born of the same mother; and he said to the steward of his household, Bring the men into the house, and slay beasts and make ready, for the men are to eat bread with me at noon.
|
ви'дњв же я& і^ѓ'сифъ, и^ венїами'на брата свое^го, и^ ре'че строи^телю до'мђ свое^го въвеd мђж'и с^и в до'мъ, и^ заколи` эT скота` и^ ё^гото'ваи, съ мно'ю бо ја%сти мђжемъ си'мъ хлњбъ въ полђдне”

|
And the man did as Joseph said; and he brought the men into the house of Joseph.
|
Сътвори' же строи^тель, ја%коже рече і^ѓ'сифъ, и^ въведе` мђжа въ доM і^ѓ'сифоv”
|
|

|
|
And the men, when they perceived that they were brought into the house of Joseph, said, We are brought in because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first; even in order to inform against us, and lay it to our charge; to take us for servants, and our asses.
|
Ви'дњвше же мђжи, ја%ко въведо'шаа` в до'мъ і^ѓ'сифовъ, рњша сребра` раd възвраще'ннаго въ вре'тищихъ нашихъ, пръ'вње, въво'дят ны ѓ^бол#га'ти насъ, да ны` по'имђтъ въ рабо'тђ и^ ѓ^слы` наша”

|
And having approached the man who was over the house of Joseph, they spoke to him in the porch of the house,
|
Пристђпи'вшиy къ строи'телю до'мђ і^ѓ'сифова реко'ша е^мђ прDе вра'ты две'рными
|
|

|
|
saying, We pray thee, Sir; we came down at first to buy food.
|
гл~ющи. Мо'лимтися гдsне, прїидо'хомъ пръвње кђпи'ти пи'ща,
|
|

|
|
And it came to pass, when we came to unlade, and opened our sacks, there was also this money of each in his sack; we have now brought back our money by weight in our hands.
|
бысть же е^гда` прїидо'хомъ на ста'нъ, и^ эTрњши'хоM вре'тища своя`, и^ с^е сребро` кое^го'ждо въ вре'тищи е^го. сребро` наше мњрно е^гоже взяхомъ въ рђ'кђ свою възвраща'емъ,

|
|
And we have brought other money with us to buy food; we know not who put the money into our sacks.
|
и^ с^е сребро` дрђго'е принесохоM съ собо'ю кђпити пища, не вњмы б^о кт^о вложи` сребро` въ вретища наша”
|

|
And he said to them, God deal mercifully with you; be not afraid; your God, and the God of your fathers, has given you treasures in your sacks, and I have enough of your good money. And he brought Symeon out to them.
|
Рече же и^мъ ми'ръ вамъ не бо'итеся б~ъ вашъ, и^ б~ъ эTц~а вашего даде` ваM бога'тъство въ вре'тищихъ вашиX сребра же вашего бл~говолящаго и^маM і^ и^зведе` к нимъ симеѓ'на.

|
And he brought water to wash their feet; and gave provender to their asses.
|
и^ принесе` во'дђ ѓ^мы'ти ноѕњ и^мъ, и^ дасть сњно ѓ^сло'мъ и^хъ”
|
|

|
And they prepared their gifts, until Joseph came at noon, for they heard that he was going to dine there.
|
Оу^готова'шаy да'ръ, до'ндеже прїидетъ і^ѓ'сифъ въ полђдне, слы'шаша б^о ја%кота'мо иM ѓ^бњдовати”
|

|
And Joseph entered into the house, and they brought him the gifts which they had in their hands, into the house; and they did him reverence with their face to the ground.
|
Прїиде же і^ѓ'сифъ въ до'мъ, и^ принесоша е^мђ да'ры и^же и^мњя'хђ в рђкђ свое'ю и^з домђ, и^ поклонишася е^мђ ни'цы до земля`”
|

|
|
And he asked them, How are ye? and he said to them, Is your father, the old man of whom ye spoke, well? Does he yet live?
|
И$ въпраша'ше я& здра'ви ли е^сте`, и^ рече здрав ли е^сть эTц~ъ вашъ ста'реw е^гоже реко'сте е^ще л^и живъ е^сть,
|

|
|
And they said, Thy servant our father is well; he is yet alive. And he said, Blessed be that man by God;—and they bowed, and did him reverence.
|
сїи же рњша здра'въ е^сть рабъ твой эTц~ъ нашъ, и^ еще` живъ е^сть” И$ реq блsвенъ чл~къ сїи б~ђ, прекло'нша же ся, поклони'шася е^мђ”
|

|
And Joseph lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, born of the same mother; and he said, Is this your younger brother, whom ye spoke of bringing to me? and he said, God have mercy on thee, my son.
|
Възрњв же ѓ^чи'ма і^ѓ'сифъ ви'дњ венїа^мина брата свое^го е^дїнома'терня. и^ рече се'и л^и е^сть братъ вашъ ме'ншїи, е^гоже реко'сте къ мн^њ привести`, рече же, б~ъ поми'лђет# т^я ча'до.

|
And Joseph was troubled, for his bowels yearned over his brother, and he sought to weep; and he went into his chamber, and wept there.
|
възмђти' же ся і^ѓ'сифъ, и^ рыда'ше ё^тро'ба е^го брата раd свое^го, і^ и^ска'ше пла'катися, вни'де же въ клњть пла'кася,

|
And he washed his face and came out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.
|
и^ ё^мы'въ лице` і^ и^зы'де, въздръжа'шеся, и^ рече положи'те хлњбъ,
|
|

|
|
And they set on bread for him alone, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians feasting with him by themselves, for the Egyptians could not eat bread with the Hebrews, for it is an abomination to the Egyptians.
|
и^ положи'ша е^мђ е^ді'номђ, и^ си'мъ ѓ^со'бъ, е^гљ=птяномъ е^же с ни'мъ ја^дя'хђ подлњ ниX, не можа'хђ б^о е^гљ=птяне ја%сти хлњба съ е^вре'и, хђ'лно б^о е^гљ=птяномъ всякъ пастђхъ ѓ%вчїи”

|
And they sat before him, the first-born according to his seniority, and the younger according to his youth; and the men looked with amazement every one at his brother.
|
Сњде же прямо е^мђ прьвене'цъ по старњ'ишинъствђ свое^мђ, и^ ме'ншїи по ме'ньшествђ свое^мђ, и^ дивля'хђся мђжи къждо къ бра'тђ свое^мђ”
|

|
|
And they took their portions from him to themselves; but Benjamin's portion was five times as much as the portions of the others. And they drank and were filled with drink with him.
|
Взя'ша же часть къ себњ` эT него` вя'щши б^о бысть ча'сть венїа^ми'нова, паче всњхъ ча'стїи, пять кра'тъ съгђ'бњиши ѓ^нњхъ, пи'ша же и^ ё^пи'шася с ни'мъ”
