And Joseph charged the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put the money of each in the mouth of his sack.
|
И$ заповњда і^ѓ'сифъ домострои'телю свое^мђ гл~я, напо'л#ните вре'тища мђжъ пи'ща е^лико мо'гђтъ въздви'гнђти, вложи'те же къмђждо и^ сребро` върхђ ё^стїя вре'тищђ,

|
And put my silver cup into the sack of the youngest, and the price of his corn. And it was done according to the word of Joseph, as he said.
|
и^ чашђ сребрянђю вложи'те въ меnшего вре'тище, и^ цњ'нђ пшени'чнђю” Бы'сть же по словесњхъ і^ѓ'сифовыхњ ја%коже гл~а, заё%тра
|

|
The morning dawned, and the men were sent away, they and their asses.
|
же на свита'нїи мђжи эTпђсти'шася и^ ѓ^сля'та и^хъ
|
|

|
|
And when they had gone out of the city, and were not far off, then Joseph said to his steward, Arise, and pursue after the men; and thou shalt overtake them, and say to them, Why have ye returned evil for good?
|
і^ и^зшеDшим и'мъ и%з града, не эTи^до'ша далече” И$ реq і^ѓ'сифъ домострои'телю свое^мђ гл~я, въста'въ и^ди` въ слњдъ мђжїи, и^ пости'гни я& и^ съ гнњвомъ рцы и^мъ” Почт^ота'ко ми възда'сте зл^о за добро`,

|
Why have ye stolen my silver cup? is it not this out of which my lord drinks? and he divines augury with it; ye have accomplished evil in that which ye have done.
|
въскђ'ю ё^крадо'сте ча'шђ м^и сре'брянђ, т^а еs е%же пїе'тъ гдsнъ мои самъ и^ влъхвова'нїемъ волхвђ'етъ въ не'и. зл^њ сконча'етеся е^же сътвори'сте”

And he found them, and spoke to them according to these words.
|
Пости'гше же я& мђжъ рече и^мъ по словесе'мъ симъ”
|
|

|
And they said to him, Why does our lord speak according to these words? far be it from thy servants to do according to this word.
|
Сїи же рњша въскђ'ю гл~етъ гдsнъ словеса с^и. не бђ'ди рабо'мъ твои^мъ сътвори'ти сего` по словесеM сим#.
|

|
|
If we brought back to thee out of the land of Chanaan the money which we found in our sacks, how should we steal silver or gold out of the house of thy lord?
|
поне'же сребро` е^же ѓ^брњто'хомъ въ вре'тищихъ свои^хъ. Възврати'хомъ къ тебњ` эT земля` ханаа'ня. како ё^б^о да ё^кра'демъ сребро` и^ зла'тђ ча'шђ эT до'мђ гдsна твое^го`”

|
With whomsoever of thy servants thou shalt find the cup, let him die; and, moreover, we will be servants to our lord.
|
ООу^ него'же ѓ^бря'щеTся чаша эT раb твоиX да ё^мреT, а^ мы бђдеM раби` гдsна
|
|

|
|
And he said, Now then it shall be as ye say; with whomsoever the cup shall be found, he shall be my servant, and ye shall be clear.
|
твое^го” Се же рече е'й, нн~њ ја%коже гл~ете та'ко бђдетъ, ё^ него'же ся ѓ^бря'щетъ чаша. да бђ'детъ гдsнђ мое^мђ ра'бъ, а^ вы` бђ'дете чи'сти”

|
And they hasted, and took down every man his sack on the ground, and they opened every man his sack.
|
И$ потща'вшеся съвръже ко'ждо вре'тище свое`, и^ ѓ%твори'ста ко'ждо свое` вре'тище
|
|

|
|
And he searched, beginning from the eldest, until he came to the youngest; and he found the cup in Benjamin's sack.
|
и^зыска' же, эT старњ'ишаго. заче'нъ до'ндеже прїиде до ме'ншаго, и^ скончиvше ѓ^брњте ча'шђ въ вре'тищи венїами'ни”

|
|
And they rent their garments, and laid each man his sack on his ass, and returned to the city.
|
И$ растръза'ша ри'зы своя`, и^ възложиша кожDо вре'тище свое` на ѓ^слы` своя`, и^ ѓ^брати'шася въ' градъ”
|
|

|
|
And Judas and his brethren came in to Joseph, while he was yet there, and fell on the ground before him.
|
Въни'де же і^ё'да и^ бра'тїя е^го къ і^ѓ^сифђ. е^ще` е^мђ сђщ'ђ т^ђ, и^ припадо'ша прњд ни'мъ до земля`”
|

|
|
And Joseph said to them, What is this thing that ye have done? know ye not that a man such as I can surely divine?
|
Рече же и^мъ і^ѓ^сифъ чт^о дњтель сїю` сътвори'сте. не вњ'сте ли ја%ко нњ'сть враж#би'тъ чл~къ ја%коже а%зъ”

|
|
And Judas said, What shall we answer to our lord, or what shall we say, or wherein should we be justified? whereas God has discovered the unrighteousness of thy servants; behold, we are slaves to our lord, both we and he with whom the cup has been found.
|
Рече же і^ё^да чт^о эTвњща'емъ гдsнђ, и^ли` чт^о эTгл~емъ, и^ли` чи'мъ ѓ^правди'м#ся. б~ъ б^о ѓ^брњте зл^о рабовъ твоиX. и^ с^е мы` раби` гдsна на'шего, и^ м^ы и^ ё^ него'же ѓ^брњте ча'ша”

|
And Joseph said, Far be it from me to do this thing; the man with whom the cup has been found, he shall be my servant; but do ye go up with safety to your father.
|
Рече же і^ѓ'сифъ не бђ'ди ми сътвори'ти словеси` сего, мђж'ъ ё^ него'же ѓ^брњтеся ча'ша сїя`, то'и да бђ'детъ м^и ра'бъ, а^ в^ы да и'дете в цњ'лости къ эTц~ђ свое^мђ” При

|
And Judas drew near him, and said, I pray, Sir, let thy servant speak a word before thee, and be not angry with thy servant, for thou art next to Pharao.
|
стђпи'въ же і^ё'да, и^ реq молю'ся гдsне да рече'тъ рабъ тво'и преD тобо'ю, и^ не прогнњ' ваися на раба` твое^го. ја^коты е^си по фараѓ'нњ властели'нъ
|

|
|
Sir, thou askedst thy servants, saying, Have ye a father or a brother?
|
гдsне, т^ы въпроша` ра'бъ твоиX гл~я, не и'мате ли эTц~а и^ брата,
|
|
20
|
20
|
|
And we said to my lord, We have a father, an old man, and he has a son of his old age, a young one, and his brother is dead, and he alone has been left behind to his mother, and his father loves him.
|
и^ рњхомъ гдsне, е%сть н^ы эTц~ъ ста'ръ. и^ ѓтро'чищъ на ста'рость мнїи е^мђ. бра'тъ же е^мђ ё^мре`, се'и же е^ди'нъ ѓ^ста` ё^ мт~ре свое^я, эTц~ъ же възлюби`

|
And thou saidst to thy servants, Bring him down to me, and I will take care of him.
|
Ти&” Ты же рече рабо'мъ свои^мъ приведњте е^го къ мн^њ да и& ви'ждђ
|
|

|

|
|
And we said to my lord, The child will not be able to leave his father; but if he should leave his father, he will die.
|
и^ рњ'хомъ гдsне не мо'жетъ ѓ^ста'вити ѓ^тро'чищъ эTц~а. а^ще ли ѓ^ста'вит# эTц~а, т^о ё%мретъ”
|

|
|
But thou saidst to thy servants, Except your younger brother come down with you, ye shall not see my face again.
|
Ты же эTвњща` рабо'мъ свои^мъ, а%ще не приведе'те брата ва'шего ме'ншего сњмо, т^о не приложи'те ктомђ` ви'дњти лица` мое^го`”

|
|
And it came to pass, when we went up to thy servant our father, we reported to him the words of our lord.
|
Бысть же е^гда` прїидо'хомъ къ рабђ` твое^мђ эTц~ђ на'шемђ, и^ повњ'дахомъ е^мђ
|
|

|

|
|
And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.
|
рњ'чь гдsна” Рече же наM эTц~ъ нашъ. и^дњте па'ки кђпи'те намъ мало пи'ща,
|
|
26
|
26
|
|
And we said, We shall not be able to go down; but if our younger brother go down with us, we will go down; for we shall not be able to see the man's face, our younger brother not being with us.
|
мы же реко'хомъ не мо'жемъ и^ти. а%ще ли братъ на'ш# мнїи и'детъ с нами. то^ и'демъ, не мо'жемъ бо ви'дњти лица` мђж'ђ. братђ ме'ншемђ не сђщ'ђ с нами”

|
And thy servant our father said to us, Ye know that my wife bore me two sons;
|
Реq же ра'бъ тво'и эTц~ъ нашъ къ на'мъ, в^ы вњ'сте ја^ко двђ` м^и е^сть породи` жона`
|
|

|

|
|
and one is departed from me; and ye said that he was devoured of wild beasts, and I have not seen him until now.
|
і и^зы'иде е&ди'нъ эT мене` и^ реко'сте звњ'рь и^зъе^лъ и& е^сть, и^ не ви'дњхъ е^го досе'лњ”
|
|

|
|
If then ye take this one also from my presence, and an affliction happen to him by the way, then shall ye bring down my old age with sorrow to the grave.
|
А/ще бо по'имете и^ сего` эT лица` мое^го. и^ слђчи'тся е^мђ зл^о на пђти` спрово'дите ста'рость мою с печа'лїю въ а'дъ”
|

|
|
Now then, if I should go in to thy servant, and our father, and the boy should not be with us, (and his life depends on this lad's life)—
|
Нн~њ а%ще и'демъ ё^бо къ рабђ` твое^мђ` эTц~ђ на'шемђ. и^ ѓ^тро'чища не бђ'детъ с на'ми, дш~а бо е^го свя'зана е^сть съ дш~ею сего`”
|

|
it shall even come to pass, when he sees the boy is not with us, that he will die, and thy servants will bring down the old age of thy servant, and our father, with sorrow to the grave.
|
И$ бђ'детъ ја%ко ё%зритъ самъ. не сђща` ѓ^тро'чища съ на'ми. ё%мретъ, и^ с^е прово'дятъ раби` твои` ста'рость раба` твое^го эTц~а на'шего съ болњ'знїю въ а'дъ”
|

|
For thy servant has received the boy in charge from his father, saying, If I bring him not to thee, and place him before thee, I shall be guilty towards my father for ever.
|
Ра'бъ ботво'и эTц~ъ нашъ вда` ѓ^тро'ка в рђцњ` мои`. и^ а%зъ реко'хъ аще не приведђ е^го к тебњ. и^ не поста'влю е^го преD тобо'ю грњшенъ бђ'дђ къ эTц~ђ вс^я дн~и”

|
|
Now then I will remain a servant with thee instead of the lad, a domestic of my lord; but let the lad go up with his brethren.
|
И$ нн~њ ё^бо бђ'дђ а%зъ рабъ твои въ ѓ^тро'чища мњ'сто ра'бъ гдsнђ мое^мђ” А$ ѓ^тро'чищь да и'детъ съ бра'тњею.
|

|
|
For how shall I go up to my father, the lad not being with us? lest I behold the evils which will befal my father.
|
ка'ко бо и'демъ къ эTц~ђ эTтро'чищђ не сђщ'ђ с нами. да не ви'жDђ зл^а е'же и'мать быти на эTц~а мое^го”
