| and Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram; | Іуда породив Фареса і Зару від Фамари; Фарес породив Есрома; Есром породив Арама; |

| and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon; | Арам породив Аминадава; Аминадав породив Наасона; Наасон породив Салмона; |

| and Jesse begat David the king. And David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah; | Єссей породив Давида царя; Давид цар породив Соломона від дружини Урієвої; |

| and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah; | Озія породив Іоафама; Іоафам породив Ахаза; Ахаз породив Єзекію; |

| and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah; | Єзекія породив Манассію; Манассія породив Амона; Амон породив Іосію; |

| and Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brethren, at the time of the carrying away to Babylon. | Іосія породив Іоакима; Іоаким породив Єхонію та братів його до переселення вавилонського. |

| And after the carrying away to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel; | По переселенні ж вавилонському Єхонія породив Салафиїла; Салафиїл породив Зоровавеля; |

| and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; | Зоровавель породив Авиуда; Авиуд породив Єлиакима; Єлиаким породив Азора; |

| and Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; | Азор породив Садока; Садок породив Ахима; Ахим породив Еліуда; |

| and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; | Еліуд породив Єлеазара; Єлеазар породив Матфана; Матфан породив Якова; |

| and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. | Яків породив Йосифа, чоловіка Марії, від Якої народився Ісус, названий Христом. |

| So all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; and from David unto the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon unto the Christ fourteen generations. | Отже, всіх поколінь від Авраама до Давида чотирнадцять родів; і від Давида до переселення вавилонського чотирнадцять родів; і від переселення вавилонського до Христа чотирнадцять родів. |

| Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. | Різдво Ісуса Христа було так: по зарученні Матері Його Марії з Йосифом, перш ніж зійтися їм, виявилося, що Вона має в утробі від Духа Святого. |

| And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. | Йосиф же, чоловік Її, будучи праведним і не бажаючи ославити Її, хотів потай відпустити Її. |

| But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. | Та щойно він помислив це, як ось ангел Господній з’явився йому уві сні, промовляючи: Йосифе, сину Давидів! Не бійся прийняти Марію, жону твою, бо зачате в Ній є від Духа Святого. |

| And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins. | Народить же Вона Сина, і наречеш Йому ім’я Ісус, бо Він спасе людей Своїх від гріхів їхніх. |

| Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, | Це ж усе сталося, щоб збулося сказане Господом через пророка, який говорить: |

| Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us. | ось Діва в утробі прийме й народить Сина, і наречуть ім’я Йому Еммануїл, що означає: з нами Бог. |

| And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife; | Прокинувшись, Йосиф зробив, як звелів йому ангел Господній, і прийняв жону свою. |
|

| and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. | І не знав Її, поки й породила Сина Свого первістка, і він нарік ім’я Йому: Ісус. |
