Се́й псало́мъ осо́бь пи́санъ, Дави́довъ, и внѣ́ числа́ 150 псалмо́въ, внегда́ єдинобо́рствоваше на Голіа́ѳа.
|
This Psalm is a genuine one of David, though supernumerary, composed when he fought in single combat with Goliad. I was small among my brethren, and youngest in my father's house: I tended my father's sheep.

Ма́лъ бѣ́хъ въ бра́тіи моє́й и ю́ншій въ дому́ отца́ моєго́:
|
My hands formed a musical instrument, and my fingers tuned a psaltery.

пасо́хъ о́вцы отца́ моєго́. Ру́цѣ мои́ сотвори́стѣ орга́нъ, и пе́рсты мои́ соста́виша псалти́рь.
|
And who shall tell my Lord? the Lord himself, he himself hears.
|

|
И кто́ возвѣсти́тъ Го́сподеви моєму́? Са́мъ Госпо́дь, Са́мъ услы́шитъ:
|
He sent forth his angel, and took me from my father's sheep, and he anointed me with the oil of his anointing.

Са́мъ посла́ а́нгела Своєго́, и взя́тъ мя́ от ове́цъ отца́ моєго́, и пома́за мя́ єле́ємъ пома́занія Своєго́.
|
My brothers were handsome and tall; but the Lord did not take pleasure in them.

|
Бра́тія моя́ добри́ и вели́цы: и не благоволи́ въ ни́хъ Госпо́дь.
|
I went forth to meet the Philistine; and he cursed me by his idols.

|
Изыдо́хъ въ срѣ́теніє иноплеме́ннику, и прокля́тъ мя́ і́долы свои́ми.
|
But I drew his own sword, and beheaded him, and removed reproach from the children of Israel.

|
А́зъ же исто́ргнувъ ме́чь от него́, обезгла́вихъ єго́ и отъя́хъ поноше́ніє от сыно́въ Ізра́илевыхъ.
