|
| Лꙋ́чше оу҆крꙋ́хъ хлѣ́ба со сла́стїю въ ми́рѣ, не́жели до́мъ и҆спо́лненъ мно́гихъ благи́хъ и҆ непра́ведныхъ же́ртвъ со бра́нїю. | Better is a morsel with pleasure in peace, than a house full of many good things and unjust sacrifices, with strife. |

| Ра́бъ смы́сленъ ѡ҆блада́етъ влады̑ки безꙋ́мными, въ бра́тїихъ же раздѣли́тъ (и҆мѣ́нїе) на ча̑сти. | A wise servant shall have rule over foolish masters, and shall divide portions among brethren. |
|

| Ꙗ҆́коже и҆скꙋша́етсѧ въ пещѝ сребро̀ и҆ зла́то, та́кѡ и҆збра̑ннаѧ сердца̀ оу҆ гдⷭ҇а. | As silver and gold are tried in a furnace, so are choice hearts with the Lord. |

| Ѕлы́й послꙋ́шаетъ ѧ҆зы́ка законопрестꙋ́пныхъ, првⷣный же не внима́етъ оу҆стна́мъ лжи̑вымъ. | A bad man hearkens to the tongue of transgressors: but a righteous man attends not to false lips. |

| Рꙋга́йсѧ оу҆бо́гомꙋ раздража́етъ сотво́ршаго є҆го̀, ра́дꙋѧйсѧ же ѡ҆ погиба́ющемъ не ѡ҆безвини́тсѧ: ми́лꙋѧй же поми́лованъ бꙋ́детъ. | He that laughs at the poor provokes him that made him; and he that rejoices at the destruction of another shall not be held guiltless: but he that has compassion shall find mercy. |

| Вѣне́цъ ста́рыхъ ча̑да ча̑дъ: похвала́ же ча́домъ ѻ҆тцы̀ и҆́хъ. Вѣ́рномꙋ ве́сь мі́ръ бога́тство, невѣ́рномꙋ же нижѐ пѣ́нѧзь. | Children's children are the crown of old men; and their fathers are the glory of children. |

| Неприли̑чны сꙋ́ть безꙋ́мномꙋ оу҆стнѣ̀ вѣ̑рны, нижѐ првⷣномꙋ оу҆стнѣ̀ лжи̑вы. | Faithful lips will not suit a fool; nor lying lips a just man. |

| Мзда̀ благода́тей наказа́нїе оу҆потреблѧ́ющымъ: и҆ а҆́може а҆́ще ѡ҆брати́тсѧ, оу҆спѣ́етъ. | Instruction is to them that use it a gracious reward: and whithersoever it may turn, it shall prosper. |

| И҆́же таи́тъ ѡ҆би̑ды, и҆́щетъ любвѐ: а҆ и҆́же ненави́дитъ скрыва́ти, разлꙋча́етъ дрꙋ́ги и҆ дома̑шнїѧ. | He that conceals injuries seeks love; but he that hates to hide them separates friends and kindred. |

| Сокрꙋша́етъ преще́нїе се́рдце мꙋ́драгѡ: безꙋ́мный же бїе́мь не чꙋ́вствꙋетъ (ра́нъ). | A threat breaks down the heart of a wise man; but a fool, though scourged, understands not. |

|
| Прекослѡ́вїѧ воздви́жетъ всѧ́къ ѕлы́й: гдⷭ҇ь же а҆́гг҃ла неми́лостива по́слетъ на́нь. | Every bad man stirs up strifes: but the Lord will send out against him an unmerciful messenger. |

| Впаде́тъ попече́нїе мꙋ́жꙋ смы́сленнꙋ: безꙋ́мнїи же размышлѧ́ютъ ѕла̑ѧ. | Care may befall a man of understanding; but fools will meditate evils. |
|

|
| И҆́же воздае́тъ ѕла̑ѧ за бл҃га̑ѧ, не подви́гнꙋтсѧ ѕла̑ѧ и҆з̾ до́мꙋ є҆гѡ̀. | Whoso rewards evil for good, evil shall not be removed from his house. |
|

| Вла́сть дае́тъ словесє́мъ нача́ло пра́вды: предводи́телствꙋетъ же скꙋ́дости прѧ̀ и҆ бра́нь. | Rightful rule gives power to words; but sedition and strife precede poverty. |
|

|
| И҆́же сꙋ́дитъ првⷣнаго непра́веднымъ, непра́веднаго же првⷣнымъ, нечи́стъ и҆ ме́рзокъ оу҆ гдⷭ҇а. | He that pronounces the unjust just, and the just unjust, is unclean and abominable with God. |
|

| Вскꙋ́ю бѧ́ше и҆мѣ́нїе безꙋ́мномꙋ; стѧжа́ти бо премꙋ́дрости безсе́рдый не мо́жетъ. И҆́же высо́къ твори́тъ сво́й до́мъ, и҆́щетъ сокрꙋше́нїѧ: ѡ҆строптѣва́ѧй же оу҆чи́тисѧ впаде́тъ во ѕла̑ѧ. | Why has the fool wealth? for a senseless man will not be able to purchase wisdom. |

| На всѧ́ко вре́мѧ дрꙋ́гъ да бꙋ́детъ тебѣ̀, бра́тїѧ же въ нꙋ́ждахъ поле́зни да бꙋ́дꙋтъ: сегѡ́ бо ра́ди ражда́ютсѧ. | Have thou a friend for every time, and let brethren be useful in distress; for on this account are they born. |

| Мꙋ́жъ безꙋ́менъ пле́щетъ и҆ ра́дꙋетсѧ себѣ̀, ꙗ҆́коже порꙋча́ѧйсѧ и҆спорꙋ́читъ дрꙋ́га своего̀, на свои́хъ же оу҆стна́хъ ѻ҆́гнь сокро́вищствꙋетъ. | A foolish man applauds and rejoices over himself, as he also that becomes surety would make himself responsible for his own friends. |

| Грѣхолю́бецъ ра́дꙋетсѧ сва́рѡмъ, а҆ жестокосе́рдый не оу҆срѧ́щетъ благи́хъ. | A lover of sin rejoices in strifes; |

| Мꙋ́жъ оу҆добопрело́жный ѧ҆зы́комъ впаде́тъ во ѕла̑ѧ: се́рдце же безꙋ́мнагѡ болѣ́знь стѧжа́вшемꙋ є҆̀. | and the hard-hearted man comes not in for good. A man of a changeful tongue will fall into mischiefs; |

| Не весели́тсѧ ѻ҆те́цъ ѡ҆ сы́нѣ ненака́заннѣмъ: сы́нъ же мꙋ́дръ весели́тъ ма́терь свою̀. | and the heart of a fool is grief to its possessor. A father rejoices not over an uninstructed son; but a wise son gladdens his mother. |

| Се́рдце веселѧ́щесѧ бл҃гоимѣ́тисѧ твори́тъ: мꙋ́жꙋ же печа́льнꙋ засы́шꙋтъ кѡ́сти. | A glad heart promotes health; but the bones of a sorrowful man dry up. |

|
| Прїе́млющемꙋ да́ры непра́веднѡ въ нѣ̑дра не пред̾ꙋспѣва́ютъ пꙋтїѐ: нечести́вый же оу҆кланѧ́етъ пꙋти̑ пра́вды. | The ways of a man who unjustly receives gifts in his bosom do not prosper; and an ungodly man perverts the ways of righteousness. |

| Лицѐ разꙋ́мно мꙋ́жа премꙋ́дра, ѻ҆́чи же безꙋ́мнагѡ на концѣ́хъ землѝ. | The countenance of a wise man is sensible; but the eyes of a fool go to the ends of the earth. |
|

| Гнѣ́въ ѻ҆тцꙋ̀ сы́нъ безꙋ́менъ, и҆ болѣ́знь ро́ждшей є҆го̀. | A foolish son is a cause of anger to his father, and grief to her that bore him. |
|

| Тщєты̀ твори́ти мꙋ́жꙋ првⷣнꙋ не добро̀, нижѐ преподо́бно навѣ́товати власте́мъ пра́вєднымъ. | It is not right to punish a righteous man, nor is it holy to plot against righteous princes. |
|

| И҆́же щади́тъ глаго́лъ произнестѝ же́стокъ, разꙋ́менъ: долготерпѣли́вый же мꙋ́жъ премꙋ́дръ, лꙋ́чше и҆́щꙋщагѡ наꙋ́ки. | He that forbears to utter a hard word is discreet, and a patient man is wise. |

| Несмы́сленномꙋ вопроси́вшꙋ ѡ҆ мꙋ́дрости, мꙋ́дрость вмѣни́тсѧ: нѣ́ма же кто̀ себѐ твори́тъ, возмни́тсѧ разꙋ́менъ бы́ти. | Wisdom shall be imputed to a fool who asks after wisdom: and he who holds his peace shall seem to be sensible. |
